Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the capacity of palm sugar artisan groups in Teluk Bakung Village in terms of production, quality, marketing, and business management as an effort to strengthen the competitiveness of palm sugar–based MSMEs. The program was implemented using a participatory approach that included stages of socialization, training, mentoring, and evaluation. Evaluation instruments consisted of observation sheets to assess technical skills and comprehension questionnaires to measure managerial understanding, which were analyzed using descriptive comparative methods. The results indicate a significant increase in daily production capacity through the adoption of appropriate technology in the form of a grinding machine. Product quality also improved, as evidenced by finer and more hygienic physical characteristics, along with the establishment of the “Arentapure” brand identity. In addition, partners successfully expanded their market reach through social media and began implementing simple financial record-keeping systems separate from household finances. These findings demonstrate that the program is effective in transforming traditional enterprises into more professional business units with strong potential for long-term economic sustainability.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of technology integration and collaborative learning on accounting students' learning outcomes at SMK Negeri 1 Patumbak, with digital literacy as a mediating variable. The urgency of this research stems from the fact that 54.4% of Grade X Accounting students failed to meet the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) of 75, despite the application of digital-based learning and collaborative activities in the classroom. This study employed a quantitative ex post facto design involving all 68 Grade X Accounting and Financial Institution students through total sampling. Data were collected via a four-point Likert scale questionnaire and documentation of mid-semester exam scores, then analyzed using path analysis and Sobel test with SPSS version 31.0.2.0. Results showed that technology integration and collaborative learning each had a significant positive direct effect on both learning outcomes and digital literacy. Digital literacy itself proved to be the most dominant predictor of learning outcomes (β = 0.544). Furthermore, digital literacy significantly mediated the influence of technology integration (Z = 2.750, p = 0.006) and collaborative learning (Z = 4.460, p < 0.001) on learning outcomes, with partial mediation occurring in both pathways. These findings confirm that technology integration and collaborative learning enhance learning outcomes not only directly, but also indirectly by strengthening students' digital literacy as a cognitive bridge toward deeper conceptual understanding. These findings suggest that teachers should design technology use and collaborative activities not merely as instructional tools, but as deliberate pathways for building students' digital literacy, which in turn serves as a cognitive bridge toward deeper conceptual understanding and improved learning outcomes.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low activity and learning outcomes of students. The purpose of this study is to improve the activity and learning outcomes of 34 students of class X AKL I SMKN 1 Kisaran by applying the problem solving model with a collaborative approach. This study is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. Data collection techniques in this study are student learning activity observation sheets and learning outcome tests. The data analysis techniques of this study are quantitative data analysis and qualitative data analysis. From the student learning activity observation sheets, in cycle I there were 13 students (38.23%) who were included in the active and very active categories. In cycle II students who were included in the active and very active categories increased to 28 students (82.35%) and had met the success indicator ≥ 75%. The data analysis revealed an average pre-test score of 70.29, with 16 students (47.05%) completing the test. The cycle I post-test averaged 75, with 18 students (52.94%) completing the test. This increased to a cycle II post-test average of 86.47, with 30 students (88.23%) completing the test, meeting the success indicator of ≥85%. Based on this analysis, it can be concluded that the application of a problem-solving model with a collaborative approach can improve the learning activities and outcomes of accounting students at SMKN 1 Kisaran.

Abstract

This research aims to increase student activities and learning outcomes through the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model assisted by Educaplay media. This Class Action Research (PTK) was carried out in two cycles on 16 students of class X AKL SMKS Setia Budi Binjai. Research results show that the implementation of PjBL with the help of Educaplay is effective in increasing student activity and learning outcomes. The average score of students increased from 68.2 in the pre-test to 75.8 in Cycle I and 86.7 in Cycle II, while the classical learning completion increased from 50% to 62.5% and reached about 90% in Cycle II. Student learning activities also reached the very good category in Cycle II. Thus, PjBL with the help of Educaplay can be an effective learning alternative in increasing student activities and learning outcomes.
