Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampaun calon guru matematika dalam menyusun PowerPoint terintegrasi TPACK sebagai media pembelajaran. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar penilaian dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan teknik analisis Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana yang terdiri dari 1) data reduction; 2) data display; 3) verification. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas Micro Teaching FKIP Universitas Mataram Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024 dengan subjek penelitian yang digunakan yaitu sebanyak 14 orang mahasiswa yang ditentukan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen pada penelitian ini menggunakan lembar penilaian kemampuan menyusun PowerPoint terintegrasi TPACK dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mahasiswa calon guru pendidikan matematika dalam menyusun PowerPoint terintegrasi TPACK sebagai media pembelajaran berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase yang didapatkan yaitu 72%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Think Pair Share cooperative learning model on the mathematical communication skills of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 21 Mataram in the 2021/2022 academic year. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with a posttest only nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were all grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 21 Mataram in the academic year 2021/2022. The samples in this study were grade VIII A and VIII B students who were taken using a cluster random sampling technique. Class VIII A as the experimental class by applying the Think Pair Share type of cooperative learning model while class VIII B as the control class by applying the direct learning model. The instrument used in this study was an observation sheet to see the implementation of the learning model used and a test question in the form of a description of 3 questions to see students' mathematical communication skills. The data analysis technique used is t-test. Based on the results of data analysis, the value of tcount> ttable so that the average post-test results of the experimental class students' mathematical communication skills were better than the average post-test results of the control class's mathematical communication skills, this means that h0 where there is an effect of implementing the cooperative learning model type Think Pair Share on the mathematical communication skills of class VIII SMP Negeri 21 Mataram in the academic year 2021/2022.

Abstract

Matematika memegang peranan penting dalam pendidikan. Namun, banyak peserta didik yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mempelajari matematika karena dianggap sulit, abstrak, dan tidak relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari akibatnya kemampuan problem solving peserta didik rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kevalidan, keefektifan, dan kepraktisan LKPD etnomatematika dalam meningkatkan kemampuan problem solving pada materi transformasi geometri untuk peserta didik kelas IX SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan  atau research and development (R&D) menggunakan model 4D yang dikembangkan oleh Thiagarajan yang terdiri dari tahap pendefinisan (define), tahap perancangan (design), tahap pengembangan (develop), dan tahap penyebaran (disseminate). Data yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IX-2 SMP sebanyak 32 orang. Teknik analisis data digunakan untuk mengetahui kevalidan, keefektifan dan kepraktisan LKPD yang dikembangkan. Kevalidan LKPD dilihat dari hasil validasi oleh validator ahli. Rumus yang digunakan untuk mengukur kevalidan LKPD etnomatematika berbasis problem solving yaitu CVR dan CVI Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa LKPD etnomatematika berbasis problem solving: (1) Valid dengan nilai CVI sebesar 0,86 dengan kategori cukup layak, (2) Efektif dengan persentase ketuntasan peserta didik yaitu 84,375%, dan (3) Praktis dengan persentase skor rata-rata hasil angket respon guru dan peserta didik  95,25% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Hal ini menyimpulkan bahwa LKPD etnomatematika berbasis problem solving memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis serta efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan problem solving.

Abstract

The application of teacher-centered learning in one of the high schools in Mataram City resulted in low mathematical understanding skills in students. This is because teachers only use textbooks as learning tools and rarely use student worksheets. The purpose of this study was to develop valid and effective guided inquiry-based student worksheets. The type of research used is research and development using the 4D model which is carried out to the development stage. Data collection techniques used interview guidelines, learner response questionnaires, and mathematical understanding ability tests. The data analysis technique consisted of validity analysis and effectiveness analysis. The results of data analysis showed that the learner worksheet product developed obtained a score of 4.30 by 1 device expert validator with very valid criteria, then received a score of 4.71 by 1 material expert validator with very valid criteria and obtained a score of 4.44 by 1 learning expert validator with very valid criteria. Furthermore, the guided inquiry-based student worksheet is an effective learning tool because the percentage of classical completeness reached 77.78% and the percentage of student response scores was 83% with very good criteria. So, it can be concluded that the development of guided inquiry-based student worksheets is valid and effective for optimizing students' mathematical understanding skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan numerasi pada konten geometri dan pengukuran ditinjau dari  gaya kognitif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IX  SMP Negeri 13 Mataram yang berjumlah 31 siswa, terdiri dari 3 siswa bergaya kognitif fast-accurate, 11 siswa bergaya kognitif reflektif, 12 siswa bergaya kognitif impulsif dan 4 siswa bergaya kognitif slow-inaccurate.Teknik pemilihan subjek dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu i) tes MFFT (Matching Familiar Figure Test) untuk penentuan gaya kognitif, ii) tes kemampuan numerasi dengan 5 bentuk soal terdiri dari pilihan ganda, pilihan ganda kompleks, menjodohkan, isian singkat dan uraian, dan iii) pedoman wawancara. Analisis dilakukan berdasarkan tiga indikator kemampuan numerasi, yaitu (1) menggunakan berbagai macam angka atau simbol terkait matematika dasar, (2) menganalisis informasi yang ditampilkan dalam berbagai bentuk (grafik, tabel, bagan, diagram, gambar dan lain sebagainya, (3) menafsirkan hasil analisis permasalahan untuk memprediksi dan mengambil keputusan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa a) siswa fast-accurate dan reflektif mampu memenuhi seluruh indikator kemampuan numerasi, walaupun siswa reflektif membutuhkan lebih banyak waktu; b) siswa dengan gaya kognitif impulsif mampu memenuhi dua indikator kemampuan numerasi yaitu indikator (1) dan (2) karena belum maksimal dalam menggunakan informasi yang diperoleh; c) siswa dengan gaya kognitif slow-inaccurate hanya dapat memenuhi satu indikator (1) kemampuan numerasi karena belum memahami soal AKM numerasi. Oleh karena itu dapat disimpulkan siswa slow-inaccurate belum mampu menyelesaikan soal konten geometri dan pengukuran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbantuan media Powerpoint Interaktif terhadap hasil belajar matematika materi bilangan bulat pada kelas VII SMP Negeri 17 Mataram Tahun Ajaran  2024/2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu atau quasi eksperimental tipe non equivalent control group design yaitu pretest-postest control group design. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari pengisian tes hasil belajar yang diberikan kepada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 17 Mataram Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025. Sampel dalam penelitian sebanyak 76 siswa yang terdiri dari 38 siswa kelas VII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 38 siswa kelas VII B sebagai kelas kontrol yang mewakili populasi sebanyak 182 siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji prasyarat berupa uji normalitas dan uji homogen serta uji hipotesis berupa uji-t. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbantuan media Powerpoint Interaktif terhadap hasil belajar matematika materi bilangan bulat pada kelas VII SMP Negeri 17 Mataram Tahun Ajaran  2024/2025 yang ditunjukkan dengan perhitungan nilai signifikansi 0,048 < 0,05.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the level and describe the characteristics of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities in solving tangent line problems based on Polya's steps. This research is a descriptive study with a quantitative and qualitative approach to further identify the problem-solving ability profiles performed by subjects based on Polya's stages. Data collection techniques used were tests and interviews. The test instrument consists of 2 items (determining the equation of a tangent line at point x1, y1 and determining the equation of a tangent line with gradient m) with explanatory answers and interview guidelines. There were 6 subjects in this study, with 2 students each in the high, medium, and low categories selected using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis techniques used both quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate (1) the level of problem-solving ability of students in the high and medium categories is 47.05%, and 5.9% in the low category, (2) students with high problem-solving abilities were able to solve problems according to all of Polya's steps, students with medium category were able to solve tangent line problems based on Polya's steps in understanding the problem and executing the solution only, while students with low category were only able to solve the equation of a tangent line at point x1, y1 in the problem understanding and execution stage.

Abstract

This research aims to describe epistemological obstacles based on errors in solving mathematics problems related to triangle material for class VII students at SMP Negeri 3 Mataram. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection methods including diagnostic tests and questionnaires. The sample was selected from class VII-4 of SMP Negeri 3 Mataram where the sample search method was carried out using tests. Determination of the sample using a purposive sampling technique. The sample selected was six students based on the results of tests and grouped into three groups with each group consisting of 2 students in the high, medium, and low error category and then given a questionnaire. The results of the research show that the types of epistemological obstacles experienced by students are conceptual epistemological obstacles with a percentage of 56.99%, procedural epistemological obstacles with a percentage of 95.70%, and operational technique epistemological obstacles with a percentage of 79.57%. For students with a high error category, the percentage of conceptual epistemological obstacles is 100%, procedural epistemological obstacles are 100%, and operational technique epistemological obstacles are 100%. Meanwhile, for students with the moderate error category, the percentage of conceptual epistemological obstacles was 66.67%, procedural epistemological obstacles were 100%, and operational technique epistemological obstacles were 89.86%. Finally, for students in the low error category, the percentage of conceptual epistemological obstacles was 5.56%, procedural epistemological obstacles were 72.22%, and operational technique epistemological obstacles were 33.33%.

Abstract

This research describes mathematical problem-solving abilities based on Polya's steps. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research with data collection techniques: tests, interviews, and documentation. The subjects selected were 6 students based on test results and divided into 3 groups, each consisting of 2 students with high, medium, and low mathematical problem-solving abilities who were then interviewed. The data analysis technique used is the Miles & Huberman model with the following steps: data collection, reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of data analysis show that students' problem-solving abilities are: 1) high category, able to understand the problem, able to plan a solution, able to carry out the solution plan even if there is a slight error in calculations, and able to look back at the results; 2) medium category, able to understand the problem, less able to plan a solution, less able to implement the resolution plan and less able to review the results; 3) low category, less able to understand the problem, unable to plan a solution, unable to implement the resolution plan and unable to look back at the results obtained.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the self-cofidence and mathematics learning outcomes of students and to show the significant influence of self-cofidence on the mathematics learning outcomes of grade  students in one of the junior high schools in the city of Mataram. The subjects in this study were 27 students from grade  C who were selected by cluster random sampling technique. Data collection techniques in this research are self-confidence and mathematics learning outcomes tests. Data collection techniques in this research were self-confidence questionnaires and mathematics learning outcomes tests. The results of self-confidence data analysis and mathematics learning outcomes tests show that: (1) self-confidence indicators with good categories, namely optimism, responsibility, being objective, rational or realistic, improving abilities and skills, successes and failures obtained, as well as acceptance and appreciation in the classroom, while indicators of belief in one's own abilities are in the fairly good category. As for the mathematics learning results, it shows that students are more capable in the aspect of knowledge than skills, for mathematical problem solving, students have shown their ability at the stage of understanding problems and preparing problem solving plans quite well, while the ability of students at the stage of implementing the plan and re-examining problem solving is still low; (2) There is a significant influence of self-confidence on the mathematics learning outcomes of grade junior high school students, with a contribution of 33.9%
