This study aims to examine the validity and practicality of the Creative Advertising Inspiration Board learning media based on Google Sites in teaching advertising texts for eighth-grade junior high school students. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using a 4D model limited to the defining, designing, and developing stages. The research subjects consisted of media experts, material experts, and eighth-grade students. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires, while data analysis was conducted using descriptive quantitative techniques. The results showed that the media validity assessment by media experts reached 84%, categorized as very valid, while material expert validation achieved 90%, also categorized as very valid. The practicality test in a small group obtained a percentage of 80.20% with a practical category, whereas the large-group practicality test reached 86.40%, categorized as very practical. Based on these findings, the Google Sites–based Creative Advertising Inspiration Board is considered valid and practical as a supporting learning medium for advertising text instruction in junior high schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the emotions of the main character in Umay Shahab's film Perayaan Mati Rasa (Celebration of Numbness) using a literary psychology approach. The research focuses on how the main character's emotions are represented through the inner conflicts he experiences throughout the film. The method used is descriptive qualitative with content analysis techniques. The research data consists of dialogues, scenes, and expressions of the main character that contain emotional elements in the film Perayaan Mati Rasa. Data collection was carried out through observation and note-taking techniques, then analyzed based on David Krech's theory of emotions. The results of the study show that the emotions of the main character can be classified into seven indicators, namely guilt, pent-up guilt, self-punishment tendencies, shame, sadness, hatred, and love. These seven forms of emotion were found comprehensively and played an important role in building the main character's inner conflict in the film.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the structure and function of healing mantras developed in the community of Kampung Air Kelat, Lingga Regency, Riau Islands Province. The selection of research objects was based on the community's strong belief in traditional healing practices performed by shamans, as well as the uniqueness of the language and cultural values contained in the healing mantras used. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research subjects were traditional healers in Kampung Air Kelat, while the research object was the healing mantras used in healing practices. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data classification, data interpretation, and data inference. The results of the study show that the structure of the healing mantras of the Air Kelat Village community refers to Suwardi Endraswara's theory, which consists of an opening, content, and closing. The function of healing mantras is not only as a means of praying to God for a smooth healing process, but also as a medium for traditional healing, preservation of religious values and local wisdom, and a reinforcement of social solidarity in the community. This research is expected to enrich the study of oral literature, particularly healing mantras, and contribute to the documentation and preservation of Malay oral cultural heritage in the archipelago.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the personality structure of the main character Arissa in the film Dunia Tanpa Suara by Hanung Bramantyo using Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic theory which includes the aspects of id, ego, and superego. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with a literary psychology approach. The instrument in this study is the researcher herself who acts as the planner, implementer, data collector, and data analyzer of the research. The data collection technique in this study is the observation and note-taking technique which is carried out repeatedly to obtain data relevant to the focus of the study. The data analysis technique in this study is carried out by systematic data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions based on the theoretical concepts used. The results of the study show that (1) the id aspect is seen through Arissa’s instinctive urge to fulfill needs, vent emotions spontaneously, and avoid discomfort without much consideration; (2) the ego aspect is seen when Arissa considers reality before acting, adapts to social situations, and makes logical decisions based on real conditions; and (3) the superego aspect is reflected in Arissa’s attitude of adhering to moral values, showing guilt after violating norms, and refusing to carry out actions that are contrary to ethics even though they can benefit her. The findings of this study indicate that the personality structure of the main character is formed through the interaction between instinctive drives, real conditions, and moral control.
