Abstract

Abstract

This research was conducted at SMIs which was seen from its growth that SMIs had the opportunity to develop in this city. This study aims to describe and analyze the effect of entrepreneurial orientation and the role of government through marketplace adoption on company performance. This study used non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling technique to the owners/managers of companies totaling 50 respondents. This research method is SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Model - Partial Least Square) and uses Warp PLS 7.0 software. The results of the study show that: (1) Marketplace adoption has a positive effect on the SMI performance; (2) Entrepreneurial orientation has a positive and significant effect on marketplace adoption and SMI performance; (3) Role of government has a positive and highly significant effect on marketplace adoption and SMI performance; (4) Adoption of marketplace has a positive and highly significant effect on SMI performance; (5) For the indirect effect, entrepreneurial orientation to company performance through marketplace adoption has a significant positive effect and role of government to company performance through marketplace adoption has a significant positive effect.

Based on the results of the analysis that has been done, it can be seen by consumer perceptions about companies that apply the green marketing concept have good results. The variables in this study include green marketing and brand image as mediating variables which have positive and significant results on purchasing decision variables. Strategies that can be implemented are not using formaldehyde and hazardous chemicals (X1.2), providing a place for inventory storage close to the store (X2.2), providing the latest information on environmental issues (X3.2), holding seminars, and carrying out disaster care actions (X4.2) and collaborating with chemistry students regarding the products used originating from safe materials (X5.2).

Abstract

This is pilot study designed to ascertain college students' understanding of domestic food waste management using an online questioner. The descriptive results section of the report is used to describe the central tendency of the data collected for each variable. Meanwhile, the people who took part in the research were all part of a webinar on waste management that was led by people from universities and environmental groups. The findings indicated that students' knowledge of domestic food waste management remained diverse. Some of them continue to view waste management as a time-consuming and demanding activity.  Community understanding about waste management, especially food, should be given early and started at home. As a result, environmentally friendly activities must be regularly promoted and implemented at the school, university, government, and community levels in order to improve people's quality of life.

Abstract

Non-cognitive skills, such as personality traits, play a vital role in various facets of human life due to their association with individual decision-making. However, personality traits can vary significantly among individuals globally, particularly between males and females. Hence, the primary objective of this study is to analyze the disparities in personality traits between men and women and to investigate how non-cognitive skills influence well-being. The study utilizes nationally representative data from Indonesia, encompassing 17,560 men and 18,825 women. Employing distinct mean t-tests and linear regression estimations, we observe that men tend to exhibit higher levels of openness, conscientiousness, and agreeableness in their personalities compared to women. Conversely, women demonstrate a propensity for higher level of extraversion and neuroticism. Moreover, our analysis reveals that male well-being is positively correlated with extraversion, while female well-being is linked to openness and extraversion traits. These findings underscore the significance of considering personality attributes in crafting economic development policies. Presently, policymakers in emerging nations like Indonesia heavily prioritize cognitive skills such as technical training and technological innovation. This study suggests that incorporating residents' non-cognitive talents into policy-making could potentially lead to enhanced achievements and progress.

Abstract

The low adoption of smart farming technology among farmers, despite the availability of tools in Kanigoro Village, Pagelaran Subdistrict, is the main issue addressed in this study. Technologies such as the Smart Soil Sensor and Bird Control Sound System have not been optimally utilized, even though they can improve agricultural efficiency and productivity. This study aims to analyze the influence of attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control on farmers’ intention to adopt smart farming technology, using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) framework. The research employed a quantitative approach involving 100 rice farmers, with data collected through structured questionnaires and direct interviews. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) with the help of WarpPLS 7.0 software. The results show that all three independent variables-attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control-have a positive and significant effect on farmers’ intention. Among these, perceived behavioral control has the most dominant influence, followed by subjective norm and attitude. These findings suggest that beyond building positive attitudes, it is essential to strengthen social support and increase farmers' confidence in their ability and access to technology to enhance the adoption of smart farming practices.
