Abstract

This study examines the urgency of a partnership between PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk.'s Bogasari Flour Mills Division in DKI Jakarta and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the culinary sector. This mutualistic symbiotic relationship is being pursued optimally through a well-planned communication strategy, incorporating appropriate communication planning and management. A qualitative case study approach is employed in this research. The results reveal that Bogasari is strategically planning its partnership with culinary MSMEs based on principles of mutually beneficial interdependence, flexibility, relationship quality, and information sharing. The partnership is implemented through the Core-Plasma partnership model, involving training, socialization, guidance, bazaars, and recognition awarded to MSMEs. The benefits derived from this collaboration include enhanced value, quality, innovation, improved access to capital, and increased trustworthiness. Challenges faced encompass a lack of innovation, motivation, and educational resources among MSME partners. Culinary MSMEs engage in a partnership with Bogasari to access guidance, development, creativity, competitiveness, productivity, and income growth. This research provides valuable insights into the significance of such mutually advantageous partnerships between large corporations and culinary MSMEs, contributing to sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

Background: Empowering impoverished communities has been a long-standing endeavor. However, the persistent prevalence of poverty still affects approximately 25 million individuals (BPS, 2023). Nevertheless, the government continues its relentless efforts to minimize the presence of impoverished families. One of the strategies employed is the implementation of the Family Hope Program (PKH). PKH stands as a program that has effectively fulfilled its mission. Various research studies have been conducted to comprehend the processes, mechanisms, impacts, and societal implications. However, research exploring the cross-sectoral communication aspects, elaborating on the involvement of stakeholders and PKH implementers spanning multiple institutions, remains lacking. Purpose: This research aims to measure the level of influence of multi-sectoral integration communication on the performance of individual PKH implementers. Methods: The employed methodology is an explanatory survey. The surveyed population comprises civil servants engaged in PKH. The population size consists of 80 individuals. Probability sampling is utilized as the sampling technique, with a sample size of 44 respondents, determined using the Slovin method. Hypothesis testing employs Path Analysis. Results: The research findings indicate a significant influence of cross-sectoral communication factors, encompassing organizational member perceptions, organizational strategies, communication climate, media quality, information accessibility, information dissemination, information accuracy, and organizational culture, on the performance of individual PKH implementers. Conclusion: Organizational member performance emerges as a critical aspect for the success of PKH implementation. The research results demonstrate that this performance is influenced by several factors, including information accessibility, media quality, information accuracy, organizational communication climate, organizational culture, information dissemination, and organizational strategies in the execution of the PKH program. Implications: The success of PKH is contingent upon the performance of individual members from collaborating institutions. Enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of individual performance factors can be achieved by synergizing with cross-sectoral communication components.

Abstract

Covid-19 is a disease caused by the coronavirus outbreak that first appeared in Wuhan, China, and spread worldwide, including Indonesia. This situation made WHO decides the world is in a state of the pandemic. During the pandemic, the Indonesian people, including students, received much information or deliberately sought information related to Covid-19 in the mass media or social media, which were assumed to shape their perceptions, attitudes, and behavior in protecting their health. Using the construct of the theory of planned behavior to investigate how media exposure to Covid-19 information in mass media or social media affects student health-protective behavior in the face of a pandemic, the present study surveyed 159 students in Indonesia who were selected using the convenience sampling technique. The present study analyzed the data by applying partial least square-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate the model and path analysis. The result from the PLS-SEM shows that the use of mass media and social media to obtain information on Covid-19 significantly positively predicts the intention to implement student health protection behaviors mediated by perceived behavioral control (PBC) but not by attitude and subjective norm. The result also shows that PBC only significantly predicts behavioral intention.

Abstract

The development of the times and technology has changed the consumer communication landscape, involving social media such as Instagram as the primary medium of interaction between consumers and brands. DNVB Indonesia uses Instagram as a medium of interaction because it can reach consumers more widely. This research explores how DNVB Indonesia utilizes Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Customer Relationship Officer (CRO) to build consumer interactions and impressions through a dramaturgical theory approach. This study uses a qualitative methodology with an intrinsic case study approach. Data was collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The research results show that the effectiveness of Instagram use by DNVB Indonesia is supported by a communication strategy that involves the 'mini' character and the active role of CRO in building personal and relevant relationships with consumers. CROs are essential in ensuring satisfying interactions by applying dramaturgical theory to create a positive impression. This theory divides social interactions into front and back stages, with the CRO acting as an actor who must maintain the company's image in front of consumers. These findings provide strategic insights for DNVBs in managing customer expectations and creating more robust and meaningful relationships through digital interactions.
