Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran tipe Think Talk Write (TTW) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas IX-K SMP Negeri 23 Medan dan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 23 Medan setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran tipe Think Talk Write. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dimana pada akhir setiap siklus peneliti memberikan tes untuk mengukur sejauh mana kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX-K SMP Negeri 23 Medan yang berjumlah 27 orang siswa. Objek penelitian ini adalah kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Talk Write pada materi fungsi kuadrat. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa pada siklus I, diperoleh bahwa hanya 11 siswa (40,74%) yang telah memenuhi kriteria yang ditentukan yaitu siswa memperoleh nilai . Dari hasil tersebut, dinyatakan bahwa ketuntasan klasikal kelas belum mencapai kriteria minimal 85% (banyak siswa yang kemampuan komunikasi matematisnya minimal kriteria sedang mencapai 85%). Setelah tindakan II diperoleh terdapat 24 siswa (88,9%) yang telah memenuhi standar kemampuan komunikasi yang telah ditentukan yaitu memperole nilai . Terjadi peningkatan jumlah siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan belajar sebanyak 13 siswa atau 48,14% dan berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka persentase ketuntasan klasikal ini sudah memenuhi standar yang sudah ditentukan. Nilai rata – rata pada tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis siklus I yaitu 62,5 dan meningkat menjadi 78,7 pada siklus II sehingga diperoleh peningkatan rata – rata kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa sebesar 16,2. Berdasarkan uraian – uraian di atas disimpulkan bahwa komunikasi matematis siswa meningkat dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Talk Write pada materi fungsi kuadrat di kelas IX-K SMP Negeri 23 Medan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the effective use of techniques Scaffolding in mathematics and to determine whether through Scaffolding techniques can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes VIII-A.Jenis research is classroom action research with research instruments such as achievement test consisting of initial tests, the test cycle I to cycle II testing and observation to determine involvement of the student and teacher activities. As the subjects in this study were students of class VIII-A which consists of 30 students. The results of the study to the authors present is as follows. In early tests students get completed by 8 students (27%) and do not pass the study there were 22 students (73%) with the average value was 58.8. Results of the tests performed on the first cycle of 30 students there were 20 (67%) students who completed and incomplete there were 10 children (33%) with the average value was 71.6, and the second cycle of the 30 students there are 28 ( 93%) students who completed and 2 (7%) of students did not complete the average value was 85.6. It can be seen that there is an increase of 40% completeness of the initial tests to the first cycle, completeness increase of 26% from the first cycle to the second cycle. From these results it can be concluded that the use of scaffolding techniques to improve learning outcomes in mathematics

Abstract

Mathematical problem solving ability is a complex cognitive activity, as a process to fix a problem that is encountered and to complete the necessary number of strategies. Train students with problem solving in mathematics is not just expect students can solve problems or issues are given, but it is expected habits in the troubleshooting process allows him to live a life that is full complexity of the problem. Based on interviews with some seventh grade math teacher, obtained information that the students are still not familiar with the problems of solving problems and generally they are less able to write the resolution, especially concerning one variable linear equations. This study, a qualitative descriptive study.The subject of research as much as 3 wherein selecting the students backwardly random. Problem solving ability explored through interviews guided by the problem-solving abilities. Then analyzed descriptively qualitative. From the results of this study concluded that the S1 has a problem-solving ability is very high, while the S2 and S3 have an ample problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD lebih baik dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan strategi konvensional. Penelitian eksperimen ini dilaksanakan di Mts PAB 1 Medan Helvetia, menggunakan rancangan penelitian “Pretest Postest Control Grup Design” dengan melibatkan sampel sebanyak 80 siswa yang diambil dengan teknik random sampling terhadap kelas yang setara. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes hasil belajar. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji liliefors, uji F, dan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar menggunakan strategi pembelajaran tipe STAD lebih baik dari hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar menggunakan strategi konvensional.

Abstract

The research aims to develop teacher and student handbooks for realistic mathematics lessons for elementary schools. The development of this handbook is based on the reality in the field where the handbook of teachers and students especially the subjects using the 2013 curriculum still do not exist, and in daily learning activities teachers and students still use books that use themes. This research uses development research (Developmental Research). The subjects of this study were grade V students of SD Negeri 163085, H.A Bilal Tebingtinggi City and SD Negeri 106162, Medan Estate District, Deliserdang Regency. In the initial stage, observations were made during the learning process at the two schools and continued with interviews with students and teachers. From the results of these observations and interviews a primary school realistic mathematics teacher and student handbook was prepared. Furthermore, the realistic elementary school mathematics teacher and student handbook is validated by a team that aims to see and assess the quality of the realistic elementary school teacher and student mathematics handbook in order to arrange an effective handbook that will be used by teachers and students in learning. The validation results show that realistic mathematics teacher and student handbooks are developed in both categories and can be used in teaching and learning. The media book test was conducted on grade V students of SD Negeri 163085 Tebingtinggi city and SD Negeri 106162 Medan Estate Deliserdang Regency. The trial results show that the elementary school teacher and student mathematics handbook is effective and can help facilitate understanding of mathematical concepts at the elementary school level. This can be seen from the number of students who can reach the KKM from the two schools is increasing. For SD Negeri 163085 HA Bilal, Tebingtinggi City, if at the time of the pre-test only 1 student (3%) was able to reach the KKM, then after being given the learning process using a teacher and student handbook developed the number of students who could reach the KKM increased to 24 students (82.7%) while those under the KKM were only (17.3%) or 5 students. The same thing was seen in SD Negeri 106162, Medanestate Subdistrict, Deliserdang Regency. If at the time of the Pre-test only 2 students (6.6%) had scored above the KKM, after the post-test there was an increase in students who achieved the KKM score of 25 students (83.3%). Abstract

This research is research and development. The ADDIE development model consists of 5 stages, namely: (1) analyze, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, (5) evaluation. The research was carried out in Min 1 Medan City. The research subjects were 20 class IV students, consisting of 11 female students and 9 male students. The object in the research ispowtoon based animated video. The data collection techniques used were observation, tests and questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used are analysis of the feasibility of Powtoon based animated videos and analysis of the effectiveness of Powtoon based animation. Based on the results of material validation with a percentage of 91.68% it is categorized as feasible. Meanwhile, the media validation results were 93.49% with a decent percentage.The results of the pretest and posttest trials that were carried out using Powtoon based animated videos showed an increase in student learning outcomes. This is known from The results of the pretest were 17 students who did not complete and 3 students who completed with a percentage of 85%. Meanwhile, the results of the posttest were not as many as 1 student and 19 students who completed it with a percentage of 82%.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' speaking skills. This research is research and development, using the Four D development model, which consists of the define, design, develop, disseminate stages. This research has reached the development stage. The research was carried out at MIN 3 Langsa. The subjects in the research were 25 class III students consisting of 13 female students and 12 male students. The object in the research ismodule based on a communicative approach to Indonesian language lessons. The collection techniques used are observation, tests and questionnaires. Based on the results of validation by experts carried out on modules based on communicative approaches in Indonesian language lessons, the results of validation by language experts are in percentages 94.10% is categorized as very feasible, material expert validation with a percentage of 80.00% is categorized as feasible, and media expert validation results with a percentage 90.70% categorized as very feasible, and validated by media experts with percentages 93.45% categorized as very feasible. Based on this description, it is concluded thata module based on a communicative approach to Indonesian language lessons is suitable for use at MIN 3 Langsa. The results of the pretest were 4 students who completed and 21 students who did not complete with a percentage of 46%. Meanwhile, 23 students completed the posttest and 2 students did not complete the test with a percentage of 70%. Based on this explanation, it was concluded that using a communicative approach based module in Indonesian language lessons was said to be effective for class III students at MIN 3 Langsa. Based on the results and discussion in this research, it is known that the communicative approach based module in Indonesian language lessons is said to be very feasible and effective for use with class III students at MIN 3 Langsa.

Abstract

This research aims to develop e-module based on the Socratic method. This research is research and development. This research uses the ADDIE development model, including analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate. This research only reached the implementation stage. The research was carried out inMIS AL Hidayah Sidomulyo.The research subjects were 20 class V students, consisting of 9 male students and 11 female students. The research object is an e-module based on the Socratic method to improve student learning outcomes. Data collection techniques are observation, tests and questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used are: (a) e-module analysis based on the Socratic method; (b) the effectiveness of e-modules based on the Socratic method. Based on validation results by media experts with a percentage of 94.85%, it is categorized as very feasible. The results of validation by material with a percentage of 94.65% are categorized as very feasible. Meanwhile, validation results by language with a percentage of 89.75% are categorized as very feasible. The results of the pretest trial were with a percentage of 45% with 3 students who completed it and 17 students who did not complete it. Meanwhile, the posttest trial had a percentage of 83.5% with 19 students who completed and 1 student who did not complete.It can be concluded that the e-module based on the Socratic method is feasible and effective to use.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan serta menghasilkan produk LKPD berbasis pendekatan STEM yang bersifat valid, praktis, efektif dan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan mengacu kepada model pengembangan ADDIE. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Swasta Al Washliyah 31 Medan yang berjumlah 20 peserta didik. Berdasarkan penelitian dan analisis data yang telah dilakukan, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) LKPD berbasis pendekatan STEM yang dikembangkan dalam kategori valid dengan rata-rata penilaian oleh para ahli ditinjau dari construct validity sebesar 4,52 serta rata-rata penilaian oleh para ahli ditinjau dari content validity sebesar 4,80. (2) LKPD berbasis pendekatan STEM yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kategori praktis ditinjau dari persentase keterlaksanaan pembelajaran sebesar 90,22% dan rata rata penilaian pelaksanaan pembelajaran 4,79 serta persentase angket respon peserta didik terhadap penggunaan LKPD sebesar 84,2%. (3) LKPD berbasis pendekatan STEM yang dikembangkan memenuhi kategori efektif ditinjau dari persentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 85%. (4) Diperoleh skor nilai N-gain sebesar 0,71, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dengan kategori tinggi setelah menggunakan LKPD berbasis pendekatan STEM dalam pembelajaran

Abstract

The use of macromedia flash as a learning medium is useful for teachers as an aid in preparing teaching materials and organizing learning. It is hoped that through research on the development of RME-based teaching materials assisted by Macromedia Flash this can be an alternative to realizing a quality learning process and is also expected to improve students' problem-solving skills and self-efficacy. This research has several objectives: (1) To produce RME-based teaching materials assisted by Macromedia Flash to improve students' mathematical problem-solving skills and Self-Efficacy which are valid, practical and effective; and (2) to determine the increase in students' mathematical problem-solving abilities and self-efficacy by using the developed Macromedia Flash-assisted RME-based teaching materials. The type of research conducted is development research. This study used the Thiagarajan 4-D development model and researchers developed teaching materials based on a realistic mathematical approach. The subjects in this study were grade 7th students of East Halongonan One Roof Public Middle School 4 for the 2020/2021 academic year. In the first trial, there were 30 students in grades 7-3 and in the second trial, there were 30 students in grades 7-2.The results showed that: (1) There was an increase in students' mathematical problem solving ability and self-efficacy by using developed Macromedia Flash assisted RME-based teaching materials; and (2) RME-based teaching materials assisted by macromedia flash to improve students' mathematical problem-solving skills and self-efficacy developed in this study already meet valid, practical and effective criteria.
