Abstract

The traffic jam that occurred in the city of Bojonegoro on the Rajekwesi – MT road section. Haryono, the leading cause of problems in the area, is at intersections and meetings with railroad tracks. Building a flyover is one solution to congestion that occurs at railroad crossings. An economic feasibility study must be carried out to assess the characteristics of a development project. This study aims to determine how much profit and costs are obtained and the extent of its economic feasibility. The project that will be examined in this study is the construction of a flyover in Bojonegoro district. Then, the feasibility of the Flyover construction project is based on the calculation of Net Present Value (NPV), Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR), and Internal Rate of Return (IRR). The results of this economic feasibility analysis There are three alternative route selection that are associated with economic feasibility where the first alternative with NPV: 2,121,743,718,000, BCR: 12.7499 and IRR: 57 then the second alternative with NPV value: 1,733,795,057,000, BCR: 10.3771, IRR: 50% and the third alternative with an NPV value: 1,395,424,941,000, BCR: 6,978 and IRR: 37%. Based on the economic feasibility analysis using process hierarchy analysis, the first alternative was chosen with a score of 0.571. With the construction of the flyover, it is hoped that it can break up the flow of traffic on the Bojonegoro - Cepu - Nganjuk section to encourage economic growth, trade, and regional development in the Bojonegoro district.

Abstract

Choosing the correct type of concrete in building construction is a crucial step that significantly affects the structure's quality, durability, and safety. Concrete, as the most widely used building material, has various types with different characteristics, such as compressive strength, tensile strength, modulus of elasticity, and durability. During this time, people who make concrete often ignore the strength of the concrete itself. They do not care what will happen if the manufacture of concrete is not by the recommended concrete construction. Concrete is the primary material for constructing a building such as a building. The quality of concrete is determined by its constituent materials, which include hydraulic cement, coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, water, and other additives. The concrete mix determines the strength of the concrete. If the building is built with unsuitable concrete, it will be quickly destroyed during natural disasters such as earthquakes. Based on this, the concrete type selection must be precise and accurate. Decision Support Systems are used in this research to provide additional input to decision-makers. Decision support systems can deliver maximum results by using algorithms or methods. The Electre method is one of the multicriteria decision-making methods based on ranking by pairwise comparisons of existing alternatives based on appropriate criteria. Overall, this research is expected to significantly improve the quality of decision-making in selecting concrete types, resulting in a safer, more durable, and more efficient building structure. The results obtained after inputting criteria values and alternative values are concrete types such as reinforced concrete, precast concrete, and lightweight concrete.

Abstract

This research aims at assessing the reliability of rebar sleeve grouting connections used in P.C building under cyclic lateral loadings. Such connections are necessary for structural stability at the time of an earthquake. It is essential to determine their performance for improving the safety in prefabricated structures. For the research, three full scale column to foundation samples that used standardized construction materials and methods were used in testing. Rebar sleeve grouting connections were each confined and encased in high strength grout and had ribbed steel sleeves to enhance the mechanical interlocking. Specific performance factors like load transfer efficiency, deformability and energy absorption were recorded as lateral cyclic loads were progressively applied to simulate actual seismic actions. Measurements were made using load cells, displacement transducers, and strain gauges while videotaping of the experiment was done with normal and high-speed cameras. The analysis also showed that of all the factors, sleeve geometry, grout quality and bond strength means have larger impact on seismic performance. Energy dissipation and deformation capacity was captured by displaying that ductile failure modes included rebar yielding and controlled grout cracking. All these findings are relevant to understanding the learnings available for the prefabricated structure design in improving the construction practices and defining the standard tests required to enhance the Seismic performance of the structures.
