Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam mengembangkan budaya Islami di MTs Sunan Kalijogo Kota Malang pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Peran penting guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam mengembangkan dan menjaga budaya Islami di MTs Sunan Kalijogo Kota Malang, khususnya dalam kondisi yang penuh tantangan selama pandemi COVID-19. Perubahan ini tidak hanya mempengaruhi metode dan strategi pembelajaran, tetapi juga berdampak pada pola interaksi antara guru dan siswa, serta cara-cara untuk menjaga dan mengembangkan budaya dan nilai-nilai yang ada di sekolah. Budaya Islami, yang mencakup berbagai aspek kehidupan seperti etika, akhlak, serta ibadah, merupakan bagian integral dari pendidikan di MTs Sunan Kalijogo. Guru PAI memiliki peran sentral dalam membimbing siswa agar dapat menerapkan ajaran Islam dalam kehidupan sehari-hari mereka. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perubahan besar dalam dunia pendidikan akibat pandemi, yang mempengaruhi metode pembelajaran dan pengembangan budaya di sekolah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus, yang melibatkan wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan analisis dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAI di MTs Sunan Kalijogo berperan sangat penting dalam menjaga dan mengembangkan budaya Islami meskipun pembelajaran dilakukan secara daring selama pandemi. Guru-guru PAI mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islami dalam setiap pembelajaran melalui media daring, memperkenalkan kegiatan virtual yang mendukung pengembangan karakter siswa, serta memberikan bimbingan spiritual untuk membantu siswa mengatasi tantangan selama pandemi. Pembahasan ini mengungkapkan bahwa meskipun terdapat kendala dalam pelaksanaan, seperti keterbatasan akses teknologi dan kurangnya interaksi tatap muka, guru PAI berhasil memanfaatkan teknologi untuk mendekatkan siswa dengan ajaran Islam dan budaya Islami. Kesimpulannya, peran guru PAI di MTs Sunan Kalijogo sangat krusial dalam pengembangan budaya Islami selama pandemi COVID-19, meskipun terdapat berbagai tantangan yang harus dihadapi. Adaptasi terhadap pembelajaran daring dan penggunaan teknologi menjadi faktor penentu keberhasilan dalam menjaga kelangsungan budaya Islami di tengah keterbatasan yang ada.

Abstract

Research objectives Efforts to regenerate character education can be pursued by implementing religious activities in developing religious character and social responsibility. The type and approach of the research is qualitative with the type of case study research. Methods of data collection is done by using interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study illustrate that: 1) The forms of religious activities include: tadarus Al-Qur'an, dhuha prayer, memorizing the Qur'an, memorizing hadith used in daily life, praying dzuhur in congregation in the school mosque, studying Arabic, infaq which is done every Friday. 2) school policy in which in this case all school members participate in all forms of religious activities implemented by the school and create a religious atmosphere by setting a schedule for implementing religious activity programs. 3) The impact of the implementation of religious activities of religious character and social responsibility as follows: a) Good morals of students to teachers and older people, b) Have a high spirit of mutual help, c) Have high honesty, d) Have faith and deep devotion.

Abstract

Social studies teachers need to use the correct method approach. Learning activities also do not utilize technology, so students need help learning. Based on this, this study aims to develop social studies learning through Google sites and bright boxes as learning media. This study uses the research and development (R&D) type, using the ADDIE development model. The study subjects were material experts, learning design experts, and learning media experts. The subjects of the trial study were 33 students of SMP Negeri 12 Malang. The methods used to collect data were interviews, questionnaires, observations, tests, and documentation. The instruments used to collect data were questionnaire sheets and test questions. The techniques used to analyze the data were qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The study's results showed that, First, the design of social studies learning development products through supporting applications such as (Canva, Capcut, Wordwall, and Google Sites). The assessment of the material expert validator was 83.0%. The evaluation of the learning design expert validator was 83.0%. The assessment of the learning media expert validator was 83.3%. Third, the practicality of the design of the IPS learning product after being implemented in students obtained the highest value of 62.0%, with the category of Very Appropriate. The teacher's response received a percentage of 4.7%, Very Practical. It was concluded that developing IPS learning through Google Sites and Smart Boxes was proven very effective and running optimally. This research implies that social studies learning through google sites and smart boxes can be used to help students learn.

Abstract

The radicalism movement has become the main cause of the growth of terrorism cases in Indonesia. This movement has successfully spread to various educational institutions, one of which is pesantren (Islamic boarding schools). The entry of radicalism into pesantren is inseparable from the lack of internalization of religious moderation attitudes by pesantren leaders towards their students. The Kiai, through a prophetic leadership model, have a major role in internalizing religious moderation in their students through their influence in pesantren. This research aims to find the concept of prophetic leadership, prophetic leadership strategies in internalizing religious moderation, and the implications of prophetic leadership. This research uses a qualitative approach with a multisite study type. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses data condensation, data display, and making conclusions. The research results conclude that the concept of prophetic leadership is carried out through education, religious learning, and istiqamah (steadfastness) in worship. The strategy of internalizing religious moderation is carried out by exemplification, habituation, and understanding. The implications of prophetic leadership include strengthening the religious moderation of students, strengthening moderation education, and forming student morals.

Abstract

Science literacy is the ability to apply scientific knowledge in daily life, yet students' science literacy in Indonesia remains low. This study aims to develop ethnoscience-based electronic student worksheets (e-LKPD) and evaluate their feasibility, attractiveness, and effectiveness. The research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ASSURE development model. The results show that the e-LKPD received validation from three experts: material experts (95.55%), design experts (91.66%), and learning practitioners (83.00%), all falling into the very valid category. The worksheets were found to be highly attractive, with a score of 85.21%. The N-Gain score was 0.79, indicating high effectiveness. The independent sample T-test revealed a significant difference in science literacy between the experimental and control classes (p = 0.001, less than 0.05). In conclusion, ethnoscience-based e-LKPD effectively enhances students' science literacy, as shown by the improvement from pretest to posttest results.

Abstract

Accreditation is a crucial indicator of quality assurance in educational institutions, ensuring compliance with national and international academic standards. It serves as formal recognition of an institution’s commitment to excellence, providing credibility and fostering continuous improvement. UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang has consistently pursued the highest accreditation standards, as evidenced by several study programs achieving superior ratings and the institution’s continuous efforts toward international certification. However, achieving and maintaining superior accreditation requires a well-structured and strategic approach. This study aims to develop and analyze a strategic planning model to optimize the accreditation process and strengthen the institution’s global reputation. Employing a qualitative research method with a bibliographic review approach, the study adopts the strategic management model by David F.R., which comprises five key stages: initial assessment, situational analysis, strategy formulation, implementation, and monitoring. This comprehensive model ensures a systematic and structured approach to accreditation, enabling institutions to align their strategies with accreditation requirements effectively. The findings indicate that this integrated model significantly enhances accreditation management by providing a clear roadmap for institutions to follow. Moreover, it introduces an innovative framework by combining established strategic planning principles with customized measurement tools, ensuring that accreditation processes are both efficient and sustainable. As a result, this approach not only facilitates the achievement of superior accreditation but also strengthens UIN Malang’s position as a leading Islamic higher education institution with a vision of international excellence. This study offers valuable insights for higher education institutions striving for quality assurance, accreditation optimization, and global recognition.

Abstract

Low reading ability in Sekolah Indonesia Makkah shows that educational efforts have not succeeded in increasing students' interest in reading towards knowledge, because currently their interest in reading is very minimal. Through the reading literacy program, it is hoped that students can improve their understanding of basic literacy. The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the planning, implementation and results of the implementation of the literacy program as an effort to increase the reading interest of elementary school students at Sekolah Indonesia Makkah.This research applies a qualitative and quantitative approach.This type of research applies a qualitative observation study. This research is located at SD Sekolah Indonesia Makkah which is located in Mecca, Saudi Arabia and the subjects of this research are class II B students.Indata collection using techniques, interviews, observations, and documentation. Qualitative data analysis is done interactively and continuously until all data is collected completely. Consists of data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.Based on the results of research that has been conducted by researchers regarding the title of optimizing literacy programs as an effort to increase reading interest in elementary school students of Sekolah Indonesia Makkah, it can be concluded that the planning, implementation of this literacy program has the results of implementing the literacy program as an effort to increase students' reading interest, namely increasing self-confidence, often practicing reading, practicing pronunciation of words, practicing proper intonation, practicing reading with a clear voice, enriching vocabulary, improving writing skills, and understanding the meaning of reading. And the school library becomes more alive because of the presence of students who take the time to read there so that students are formed who make reading a habit in learning activities.

Abstract

This research examines the role of the hidden curriculum as a non-formal education method in shaping the Islamic character of students in Islamic boarding schools. The hidden curriculum includes values, norms and habits that are implicitly instilled through interactions, culture and daily routines of Islamic boarding schools, such as the implementation of worship, the habit of discipline, responsibility and independence. This research uses a library research method to analyze theory, practice and challenges in implementing the hidden curriculum. The research results show that the hidden curriculum contributes significantly to the formation of the moral, spiritual and social dimensions of students, although they still face challenges such as a lack of conceptual understanding, the dominance of the formal curriculum and minimal evaluation. Optimizing the hidden curriculum requires strategic management, such as training for Islamic boarding school managers, integration with the formal curriculum, example by caregivers, and regular evaluation. With planned and systematic management, the hidden curriculum has great potential to support the creation of holistic education in Islamic boarding schools, which not only produces intellectually intelligent students, but also has strong Islamic character and is adaptive to the challenges of the times.

Abstract

This study aims to improve teacher performance through aspects of strategic formulation in improving teacher performance in RA Al Ishlahiyyah Wonorejo Pasuruan, strategic implementation in improving teacher performance in RA Al Ishlahiyyah Wonorejo Pasuruan, strategic evaluation in improving teacher performance in RA Al Ishlahiyyah and obstacles in improving teacher performance that can affect the quality of education in the future. This research uses a qualitative approach. Techniques in data collection are using interviews, observations, documentation studies. The subjects in this study were principals and teachers. The results of this study show that 1) strategic formulation in improving teacher performance is to understand the environment of educational institutions both internally and externally and motivate teachers. 2) Strategic implementation in improving teacher performance by involving teachers in training, discussing and sharing knowledge gained when attending training with fellow teachers and holding periodic meetings held by the principal. 3) Strategic evaluation in improving teacher performance is by monitoring and evaluating the administration of the principal will assess or supervise each teacher 4) obstacles to strategic implementation in improving teacher performance some obstacles teachers lack discipline in carrying out the rules that apply in schools, lack of facilities and infrastructure in RA Al Ishlahiyyah Wonorejo Pasuruan. Strategic management can be one of the best alternatives that can be implemented in improving teacher performance in educational institutions.

Abstract

Hindia's album “Menari dengan Bayangan” is a bridge between the values ​​of Islamic religious education and the younger generation in modern culture. This research analyzes the values ​​of Islamic religious education in the album and their relevance. Qualitative research methods with library research are used by collecting data through observation and documentation. The research results show that the album contains the values ​​of faith, worship and morals, in line with the teachings in the book “Nashaihul Ibad” by Imam Nawawi al-Bantani. This shows that music and religion can work together in educating and improving oneself.
