Abstract

ABSTRACT  This research is background because politeness involves part of social rules and strategic competencies needed and need to be discussed in the communication process. This research aims to (1) describe politeness strategies in the Dilan 1990 movie; (2) describe the politeness principle of language in the film Dilan 1990; and (3) describe the language context in the Dilan 1990 movie. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive methods. The data of this research are speeches expressed by Dilan’s Mother and Milea which contain politeness strategies, politeness principles, and contexts in the Dilan 1990 movie, analyzing data with the following steps. The first stage, identifying data based on strategy. The second stage, classifies data based on the principle of politeness. The third stage, identifying data based on context. The fourth stage analyzes and discusses research data in accordance with the theory used. The fifth, draws conclusions, namely formulating a repetitive pattern of strategies, principles of politeness, and context. Based on the results of the research it was concluded: (1) the number of data included in the strategy to speak frankly without further ado more than any other speaking strategy; (2) the maxims used in this study are wisdom macism, generosity maxim, praise maxim, and agreement maxim; (3) the speech of Dilan’s Mother and Milea in the Dilan 1990 movie is polite speech. Kata Kunci: Kesantunan Berbahasa , Strategi, Prinsip, Konteks

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis type of research is qualitative with descriptive methods. The data of this research are in the form of structure and linguistic elements from students' descriptions. The data source of this research is the description text of Grade VII students of SMP Negeri 23 Padang. The research instrument is the researcher himself. Data collection techniques through documentation study. The data collection technique in this research is the triangulation technique (Cross-Check). Data were analyzed by steps, (1) identifying common elements contained in the description text, (2) analyzing the text based on the aspects studied, namely the structure and linguistic elements of the description text, (3) the results of the analysis from the researcher were re-examined by the informant triangulation, (4) make conclusions. Based on the results of the study, the following three things were concluded. First, the structure of the text consists of the identification and description of parts. Identification / General description In the text description of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 23 Padang as a whole have been identified. Of the 35 data that have identification, there are 11 data that combine identification with the Description section. Next, the general description of the student's writing section is detailed. Evident from 35 texts that have a section description structure there are 14 texts whose description section consists of one paragraph and 1 text whose description of the section joins with identification. Second, in terms of language. The basic pattern of sentences that students use most often is SPK, while the sentence that is used most rarely is SPOPel. Third, the pattern of student reasoning that is most widely used is deductive reasoning. Of the 87 paragraphs there are 70 paragraphs using deductive reasoning, 2 paragraphs using inductive reasoning, and 15 paragraphs of incorrect reasoning patterns. Kata kunci:Struktur, Kalimat, Pola Penalaran Teks Deskripsi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to describe how the practicality of teaching materials for interviewing skills based on the model of imitation techniques in light entertainment type speech titles used by Indonesian Language Study Program students. This type of research is research and development. Research and development methods are research methods used to produce certain products and obtain the effectiveness of these products. The development model used is a 4-D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The type of data in this study is quantitative data. Quantitative data were obtained from the results of questionnaire practicality of teaching materials by lecturers and students. This research was conducted in the rhetoric class in July-December 2019 Indonesian Language Education study program, Faculty of Language and Art, Padang State University. The practicality of teaching materials is assessed from four aspects, namely presentation, ease of use, readability, and time spent. The results of this study indicate that teaching materials produced are categorized as practical. This practicality is seen from the practicality values obtained from lecturers 'and students' assessments. The practicality value of the lecturers is 88.89% with a very practical category. The practicality value of students is 82.64% with a very practical category. Based on this, the teaching materials for interviewing skills based on model copying techniques in the light entertainment type of speech degree have direct implications for the learning of interviewing skills. Kata Kunci: Praktikalitas, Materi Ajar, Keterampilan Berwawancara

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to describe the following matters. First, it describes the reading skills of students in class VII of SMP Negeri 31 Padang. Secondly, it describes the writing skills of the description text of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 31 Padang. Third, explaining the relationship between reading comprehension skills and description writing skills for grade VII students of SMP Negeri 31 Padang. The population of this research is VII grade students of SMP Negeri 31 Padang who are enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year with 256 students spread in eight classes. The sample in this study amounted to 48 people. Samples were taken using a simple random technique with a proportion of 20% using a proportional random sampling technique. Based on the results of the study, the following three things were concluded. First, the reading skills of Grade VII students of SMP Negeri 31 Padang meet good qualifications. This is calculated based on an average count of 81.80. Second, the writing skills of the description text of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 31 Padang in accordance with qualifications is more than enough. This can be seen from the average description text written test of 79.51. Third, a significant discussion between reading comprehension skills and description writing skills of Grade VII students of SMP Negeri 31 Padang at n-1 degrees of freedom and a significant level of 95%. H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted because the results prove the value of tcount is greater than t table 8.01> 1.68. Kata Kunci: Korelasi, Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman, Keterampilan Menulis Teks Deskripsi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to describe things as follows. First, describes the skills of reading appreciative grade XI Senior High School 2 Padang. Second, it describes the writing skills text cerpen grade XI Senior High School 2 Padang. Third, explain the relationship between the reading appreciative with writing skill text cerpen grade XI Senior High School 2 Padang. This type of research correlation between appreciative reading skills and writing skills text cerpen of grade XI Senior High School 2 Padang is quantitative research with descriptive methods. Based on the reslt of the study, the following three things concluded. First, the appreciative reading skills of grade XI Senior High School 2 Padang are in good qualification (81,32). Second, the writing skills text cerpen on grade XI Senior High school 2 Padang are in good qalification (82.24). Third, there is a significant correlation between appreciative reading skills and writing skills text cerpen of grade XI Senior High School 2 Padang at n-1 degress freedom and a sicnificant level of 95%. Kata Kunci: korelasi, membaca apresiatif, menulis teks cerpen

Abstract

ABSTRACT                 There are four research objectives. First, describing the forms of direct and indirect speech acts in terms of the types of illocutionary speech acts conducted by the teacher. Second, classifying the function of speech acts used by the teacher. Third, knowing the speech strategy used by the teacher. Fourth, find the context of the situation in the teacher's speech acts at XI grade students of SMA Adabiah Padang. The type of this research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. The data of this study are teacher's direct and indirect speech acts. This research instrument is the researcher himself. Data collection techniques are competent free participation techniques (SBLC), record, and note. Data validation techniques are triangulation techniques. There are five techniques used to analyze data.  There are four the results of this study. First, there are five forms of direct and indirect speech acts that are viewed from the types of illocutionary speech acts, namely assertive, directive, commissive, expressive, and declarative. Second, there are five functions of direct and indirect speech acts, namely: (1) assertive to state, notify, advise, boast, complain, demand, and report, (2) directive to order, order, request, request, advocate. Advising, (3) commissiveness to say (prayer), (4) expressive to say thank you, forgive, congratulate, and (5) declarative to drop the law. Third, there are two speech action strategies, namely positive politeness strategies and negative politeness strategies. Fourth, the context of using teacher-speaking strategies to students. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the direct and indirect speech acts of the teacher have an effect on the Indonesian language subject while doing the teaching and learning process in the classroom.                                              Kata kunci: tindak tutur langsung dan tidak langsung, guru

Abstract

                                                                                    ABSTRACT                                                                            The purpose of this study is, to describe the realization of the continuity of the educational status of Indonesian Language student speech is State University of Padang in interviews for talk show type of light entertainment. The purpose of the descriptive is to describe, describe or depict a systematic, factual, and accurate about the facts, properties, as well as the relationship of the antarfenomena investigated. This research data is a fact of learning skills in realization of the continuity and to talk show type light entertainment and speech in the transcript of the interview performance containing follow the research results directly said is there is a realization of the continuity of students ' skill in speech taped as much as 76.77%, with the imperative mood-as 6 speech imperatives with the percentage of 1.51%, other interrogative mode-interrogative as much as 234 speech with percentage 59.10%, and declarative mode-form declarative as much as 64 speech with 16.16% percentage. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the realization of the continuity of the educational status of Indonesian Language student speech is State University of Padang in skill type talk show taped for light entertainment is already realized, but there needs to be the addition of a form of a question in the form of ketidaklangsungan speech. Kata Kunci: Relisasi, tindak tutur langsung, Keterampilan Berwawancara, Gelar Wicara Tipe Light                   Entertaiment

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research are three (1) to describe the process of implementatiom of text-based Indonesian language learning, (2) to describe the process of teaching and learning of text-based Indonesian language focused on learning materials, (3) to describe the process of text learning based on the learning method. This research type is qualitative research by using descriptive method. Technique of data collecting is done by observation, interview, and documentation study. The result showed that teachers of SMP Negeri 1, SMP Negeri 2 Solok, and SMP Negeri 4 Solok have implementated four aspects ofe text-based learning that is at the stage of building the context, studying the model text, constucting guided and constructing independently. The materi used in the three schools are learning material with excellent categories. Teaching materials are chosen and determined with consideration and attention to problems, including (a) the objectives to be achieved so that they are relevant, (b) the level of students' thinking abilities, (c) the scope  and the sequences need to be arranged so that they are systematic and obvious, and (d) time and equipment are also considered. The use of learning methods in the three schools is also good in terms of its effectiviness, its relevance to learning, up to the use of the method itself. Kata kunci : pelaksanaan pembelajaran bebasis teks, materi   pembelajaran, metode pembelajaran

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to describe things as follows. First, it describes the skills of reading comprehension grade VII JUNIOR 20 Country field. Second, it describes the writing skills text description grade VII JUNIOR 20 Country field. Third, explain the relationship between the keterampilaan reading comprehension with writing skills text description grade VII JUNIOR 20 Country field. Type of this research is quantitative research with the method korelasional. The research design used was the korelasional relationship of two variables. The population of this research grade VII SMP Negeri Padang 20 listed in the teaching of 2018/2019 with a total of 254 students scattered in seven classes. The sample in this study amounted to 48 people. Sample taken using a simple random technique with a precision of 15% using a proportional random sampling techniques. Research instrument this is a test performance, namely, test write text description and objective tests the skills of reading comprehension text description. Based on the results of the study it was concluded that research done about the relationship skills reading comprehension dengana writing skills text descriptions have a relationship on a level may 95% i.e. thitung is greater than ttabel with dk = n-1. Thus, it can be noted that the higher the reading comprehension skills of students will be increasingly higher skill levels write a text description of the students. Kata Kunci: Korelasi, Membaca Pemahaman, Menulis, Teks Deskripsi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose f this research are (1) To know the students class VIII at SMP Negeri 11 Padang ability to write persuasive text without using mind mapping technique. (2) To know the students class VIII at SMP Negeri 11 Padang ability to write persuasive text using mind mapping. (3) To analyze the effects of using mind mapping technique towards students ability to write persuasive text class VIII at SMP Negeri 11 Padang. This is qualitative research using quasi experiment.
