The aim of this research is to identify how to develop and how is the quality of a prototype instructional video to help English teachers at SMA Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja develop their questioning skills in teaching English. This study was a Design and Development research following ADDIE steps: Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation and evaluation. The study showed that there were four steps to develop the prototype, they were: planning, creating prototype, prototype testing and upgrading the preliminary prototype. Also, the study suggested that the prototype was considered a good instructional video for developing questioning skills. Each evaluator completed a quantitative questionnaire and made qualitative comments. The quantitative analysis scored 98% for content, 93% for media, and 90% from users. Those numbers are categorized as very good product where it does not need any revision. Indeed, qualitative analysis gained some suggestions and comments from the experts where there are some weaknesses in the area of content and media. Though there were some revisions for the prototype, the prototype was considered as a good prototype to be finalized later as a ready-to-use product. Implication for future researcher to develop the prototype to a final product for English teachers’ professional learning is mentioned.

Visual media are still ineffective in covering all learning focus and learning activities to support independent learning. Independent learning guides students to learn the material by themselves, but it is still not supported by the existing visual media. Infographics are a medium that underlies transformative skills in teaching because they can provide a complete learning focus in each material. This study was aimed at developing English teaching media for the 9th grade. A Design and Development research (DnD) proposed by Richey and Klein (2005) was used in this study, including design, development, and evaluation. Initial observations have been carried out at one of the junior high schools in Buleleng, Bali, Indonesia. Data collection was carried out by library research relating to the development of infographics and the nature of independent learning, document analysis by doing syllabus analysis, and expert judgment. The results obtained from the research are infographics are considered to be very good as a medium for teaching English for independent learning. This research implies that teachers' technology-based teaching skills can be assisted by developing this infographic teaching media.

This study involved 2 primary school English teachers from 2 different schools in Gianyar which were selected by using convenience sampling. The research design used was embedded mixed method which qualitative is dominantly used. In collecting the data, the instruments used were questionnaire, observation sheet, and interview guide. The results show that both of teachers have a positive perception toward the PCK of teaching English to young learners. However, from the observation data, it is found that both teachers have a very low frequency in implementing the three components of PCK. Moreover, it was revealed that there was lack of consistency between the teachers’ perceptions and the implementation of PCK. Since, there was lack of consistency between the teachers’ perceptions and their implementation of Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) in teaching English for young learners in Gianyar, it is suggested for the teachers to enhance their knowledge about PCK of teaching English to young learners and also enhance their teaching skills by attending seminars or workshops related to teaching English to young learners

Poetry can help students become more sensitive to language. However, in an EFL situation students may object to learning poetry. Thus, English teacher should know how to use poetry in their teaching. The teacher should also let the EFLlearners not feel worry about understanding poetry because not all poems are difficult. Moreover, what matter most is learning English through poem and not to learn about the poem itself. In short, it is suggested for EFL English teachers to have the learners explore some poems and write ones. Poetry gives abundant languageexposures that improve students’ language sensitivity and students’ creativity in using their English.

The development of infographics was done to support the teacher in using visual media in teaching and learning process. The data collections of this study were carried out by library research, document analysis, and expert judgment. The data analysis of this study used mixed qualitative and quantitative research. The result of this study was infographics are very good media for teaching English to 7th grade junior high school. The design in each infographics was simple and effective as visual media for English teaching and learning activity. The quality of infographics was assessed using expert judgment by two experts.
