Abstract

Language is an activity that people do to express their feelings and the means to communicate with others in the daily activity primally in socializing with people around. This day many people already speak use two language or more where code switching also give a role in language changes. Code switching is not only found in the surrounding environment but also in an interview, social media, novels or a song. This time the writer focuses on Cinta Laura Khiel podcast with DeddyCorbuzier, Boy William, Chef Juna and AzkaCorbuzer. The purpose of this study is to know what is the dominant type and factor of code switching that appear in Cinta Laura Khiel podcast. This study is use qualitative descriptive method to collect the data. The writer use theory from Brown to analyze the type of code switching, the writer also use theory from Hoffman to analyze the factor of code switching, the most dominant type is inter-sentential switching with 173 data, the most dominant factor is repetition for clarification with 47 data.

Abstract

Forensic linguistics is a science that examines language in relation to legal science as a device for proving judicial cases. Forensic linguistics in online business in this study was found in online buying and selling accounts that sell illegal products or are categorised as non-halal. Products are presented in the form of images and descriptions that use language. The sale and purchase are criminal acts of violating the ITE (Informasi dan Teknologi Elektronik or Electronic Information and Technology) Law regarding online transactions. The purpose of the study is to describe linguistic forensics in online business in buying and selling transactions using the persuasive theory of Keraf (1994), including rationalization, identification, suggestion, conformity, compensation, substitution, and projection. For this purpose, the qualitative descriptive research method has been employed. The results of the study indicate violations of the ITE Law related to online buying and selling of mustika (gemstone or talisman) products or talismans in the form of agate.

Abstract

Low learning motivation of senior high school students caused by several things including: learning methods that do not adjust with the times and the media does not support or encourage students to be interested in learning. This study attempted to answer those problems by applying the method of cooperative learning which make students actively interact and communicate with their group and using instructional video that does not make them bored in learning so they feel interested and motivated in learning. Most of the previous studies only focus on the impact of using the cooperative strategy or instructional video (choosing one of them) on the teaching-learning process to increase student's ability in a certain skill. But in this study, it is used the combination between cooperative strategy and instructional video in teaching-learning process. Since the study was quasi-experimental, the instruments to collect the data were test and questionnaire. The researcher took two classes as the experimental class= 25 students and the control class= 25 students of the twelfth grade students of SMAN 5 Tuban. The motivation questionnaire using four-point Likert-type scales. Items on the scales are anchored at 1 = strongly disagree, 2 = disagree, 3 = agree and 4 = strongly agree. The result of motivation questionnaire proved that the students are motivated in learning speaking when using cooperative-instructional video than conventional method. The result of T-Test indicates that English learning students on speaking skill taught by using the cooperative-instructional video was better than using the conventional learning method (textbook). This has implication for language teachers who are interested in incorporating technology into their classes, which may contain students with low motivation and their speaking ability. Abstract

Due to Covid-19, students are required to study online at home, and currently, in the New Normal Era, student learning at school is allowed to study face-to-face although they must remain careful. Learning in current conditions has changed, and teachers must be able to adapt and develop learning models which could make it less complicated for students to understand the material being taught. Therefore, the present Blended Learning learning model is one model to overcome this problem. The Blended Learning model is a learning process that utilizes various approaches, namely by utilizing various kinds of media and technology offline and online. This study aims to determine the response to the application, problems, and solutions using the Blended Learning model in English subjects, as well as the problems faced by the teacher and how to overcome the application of the model. The sample of this studies is 7 teachers who teach English subjects and have implemented the Blended Learning learning model and 45 students from various majors at SMKN 2 Tuban. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research with data collection techniques using questionnaires and interviews.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas II UPT SD Negeri Sidorejo 3 setelah diterapkan model Teams Games Tournament berbantuan media question board. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas II UPT SD Negeri Sidorejo 3 dengan jumlah 11 siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yang terdiri dari 4 tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instrument penelitian dengan menggunakan lembar tes, lembar observasi aktivitas guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dievaluasi secara deskripsi kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pra siklus rata-rata peserta didik mencapai ketuntasan pada mata pelajaran matematika dengan 4 siswa mencapai presentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 36,3%. Sedangkan setelah dilakukan penerapan model Teams Games Tournament berbantuan media question board, rata-rata peserta didik mengalami kenaikan ketuntasan dengan peserta didik mencapai ketuntasan belajar sebesar 63,6% pada siklus I dan 81,8% pada siklus II. Dari data di atas diketahui bahwa nilai rata-rata siswa sudah meningkat dari pra siklus 64, menjadi 77,72 dan 84,54 pada siklus I dan siklus II secara berturut-turut.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning berbantuan media Wordwall siswa kelas I UPT SD Negeri Sidorejo 3 tahun pelajaran 2023/2024. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus yang terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas I UPT SD Negeri Sidorejo 3. Data yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini adalah data hasil observasi aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa, serta hasil belajar. Analisis data dievaluasi secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa pra siklus memperoleh persentase 36.3% dari 11 siswa, kemudian pada siklus I ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa mencapai 63.6% atau 7 siswa yang telah tuntas dan mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar pada siklus II dengan persentase 81.8% atau 9 siswa yang telah tuntas. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika siswa mengalami peningkatan dari pra siklus ke siklus I dan siklus II melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning berbantuan media Wordwall. Kata kunci: Problem Based Learning; Wordwall; Hasil Belajar Abstract This research aims to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes through the application of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Wordwall media for class I UPT SD Negeri Sidorejo 3 school year 2023/2024. This type of research is Classroom Action Research which is carried out in two cycles consisting of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this research were class I students at UPT SD Negeri Sidorejo 3. The data analyzed in this research were data from observations of teacher activities, student activities, and learning outcomes. Data analysis was evaluated descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of the research showed that the completeness of student learning outcomes in the pre-cycle obtained a percentage of 36.3% from 11 students, then in the first cycle the completeness of student learning outcomes reached 63.6% or 7 students who had completed it and experienced an increase in learning outcomes in the second cycle with a percentage of 81.8% or 9 students which has been completed. It can be concluded that students' mathematics learning outcomes have increased from pre-cycle to cycle I and cycle II through the application of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Wordwall media. Abstract

Life in the 21st century demands various skills that a person must master in order to become a competent, competitive and successful person in life. known as 21st century skills. One of the 21st century skills that is very important for students is critical thinking skills. The aim of this research is to develop iSpring Suite 8 interactive power point learning media based on scientific literacy to improve students' critical thinking skills. The development of iSpring Suite 8 interactive learning media based on scientific literacy to improve students' critical thinking skills is research and development (R & D) by applying the ADDIE development model which consists of 5 stages, namely analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate . The ADDIE model was chosen because of its systematic and interactive structure where the evaluation results of each stage can lead development to the next stage. The results of stage 1 analysis are used as a reference in stage 2 (design). This article examines the results of the learning media development process at stage 1 (analyze) and stage 2 (design).

Abstract

This study intends to explore the effectiveness of ClassPoint as one of  learning tools and the practical aspects of its implementation to improvre grammatical competence of freshmen students. The objective of this study is   It utilizes Classroom Action Research (CAR) design. The research sample consists of 15 first-year students who are currently registered in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. Data collection methods include interview and observation by using surveys (Likert Scale), with the latter two conducted using ClassPoint and iSpring interfaces, respectively. The result of the study shows that the implementation of ClassPoint 2 as a learning tool for Basic English grammar has shown promising results. The study demonstrates a significant improvement in student performance from the first cycle to the second cycle, with the percentage of students achieving the minimum passing criteria increasing from 45.15% to 80.64%. The students also believe it can improve learning outcomes compared to traditional methods. It shows that the implementation of ClassPoint can improve Basic English Grammar’s performance of the Freshmen Students at UNIROW Tuban.

Abstract

A pre-service English teacher's self-efficacy is under explore in Kampus Mengajar Program. Self-efficacy refers to people's perceptions of their ability to perform at specified levels and influence aspects of their lives. This study employs qualitative research. In this study, researchers collected data through questionnaires and interviews. The study reveals that pre-service English teachers at Kampus Mengajar have high self-efficacy.  The research expanded to investigate how strong self- efficacy and the factors regarding this phenomenon. The three components identified are personal factors, behavioral factors, and environmental factors that carry out all of their success in the Kampus Mengajar program optimally. This study gives benefits for Preservice English teachers in understanding the self-efficacy to carry out Kampus Mengajar Program were explored. Suggestions for further research are to use mixed methods and add male participants to direct new research trends in gender and self-efficacy.

Abstract

This study focuses on the perceptions of students and teachers regarding the use of ICT media in learning English. This study also aims to determine the attitudes of students and teachers about the use and benefits of ICT media in learning and teaching in English classes and to find out the problemsfaced by teachers when using or operating ICT media in English classes. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach applying survey. Data was collected from a survey in the form of giving a questionnaire or questionnaire, which involved 10 randomly selected students from grades VI and VII and two English teachers at SMP PGRI 3 Tuban. The quantitative data obtained were analyzed by calculating the percentage of each item and the average to draw conclusions descriptively. The findings of this study revealed a positive response from teachers and students regarding the use of ICT media in English classes, students felt that learning English using ICT media was more fun and not boring in class, they were also more enthusiastic in participating in English learning in class. class, students also feel more understanding of English material when the teacher uses the TIK or ICT to teach in the classroom. The teacher also responded very well where the teacher agreed with the use of ICT media in the classroom and the teacher felt the benefits of using the media but there were several obstacles faced by the teacher when using ICT, such as operating constraints. This study provides insight into how students and teachers view ICT as a teaching and learning tool that can help provide a better English learning experience, as well as identify the barriers teachers feel when using ICT media.
