Abstract

The low efficiency of conventional irrigation systems often results in water waste and decreased rice productivity. The research was carried out by designing an automatic monitoring and control system using a water level sensor, a Raspberry Pi Pico W microcontroller, a water pump, and a Blynk application as a real-time monitoring medium. Water level data is processed by fuzzy logic method to categorize low, normal, or high conditions, so that the system can adjust the water pump adaptively according to the needs of the land. The results of the study show that the integration of IoT and fuzzy logic is able to improve water use efficiency, maintain soil moisture at optimal conditions, and support better rice growth. The system has also been proven to be accurate in the classification of water conditions with a success rate above 90%. Thus, this research contributes to the development of smart agricultural technologies that can increase productivity while supporting sustainable agricultural practices.

Abstract

Pengelolaan distribusi air yang efisien di kawasan perumahan menjadi salah satu tantangan utama dalam memastikan ketersediaan air bersih yang cukup bagi masyarakat. Kekurangan air bersih sering kali menjadi masalah kritis, terutama pada jam-jam sibuk. Ketergantungan pada pengisian tandon air secara manual juga sering menyebabkan permasalahan lain, seperti pemborosan akibat pengisian berlebih atau kekurangan air akibat keterlambatan pengisian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengembangkan kendali cerdas berbasis IoT untuk mengoptimalkan pengisian dan distribusi air dalam tandon perumahan agar keseimbangan volume air tetap terjaga; (2) Mengimplementasikan sistem kendali otomatis yang mampu menyesuaikan pengisian dan pelepasan air dalam tandon secara real-time berdasarkan pola konsumsi pengguna; (3) Mengintegrasikan sensor ketinggian air dan sensor kekeruhan air untuk meningkatkan efektivitas kendali cerdas dalam menjaga kualitas dan volume air dalam tandon. Penelitian ini menggunakan model ADDIE dengan lima tahapan analisis kebutuhan, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem berhasil mengatur pengisian tandon secara otomatis dengan akurasi tinggi (deviasi sensor ultrasonik 0 cm), serta mendistribusikan air secara efisien dengan rata-rata debit aliran air sebesar ±16 liter/menit dari lima jalur distribusi. Sistem juga mampu menghentikan distribusi air secara otomatis ketika sensor turbidity mendeteksi kekeruhan melebihi ambang batas, dan melanjutkan distribusi setelah air kembali jernih. Notifikasi real-time melalui platform ThingSpeak dan Telegram terbukti membantu pengguna dalam pengawasan sistem. Dengan demikian, seluruh tujuan penelitian dapat dikatakan telah tercapai dengan baik.

Abstract

In the Mentawai Islands Regency, West Sumatra Province, Indonesia, during the 2019–2024 period, five road construction projects with contract values exceeding five billion rupiah (non-small qualified contractors) experienced critical delays that resulted in contract termination. The study aims to identify the factors causing delays in road construction projects that resulted in contract termination in the Mentawai Islands Regency, as well as to analyze the most influential dominant factors. The research method used a quantitative approach with a questionnaire instrument distributed to 127 respondents consisting of owners, consultants, and contractors. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, while data analysis was carried out using SPSS software with multivariate statistical methods. The results of the study indicate that there are ten main factors that influence delays in road construction projects resulting in contract termination, namely managerial factors (11.087%), labor (9.164%), equipment (8.903%), supply chain management (7.953%), financial (7.505%), design (7.370%), weather and natural disasters (6.494%), geography and environment (5.128%), procurement of materials (4.506%), and payment (4.107%). The dominant factor causing delays in road construction projects resulting in contract termination in the Mentawai Islands is managerial factors with a contribution of 11.087%.
