Abstract

Telah dilakukan proses elektrodeposisi lapisan Ni diatas subtrat baja dengan menggunakan larutan 0,5 M NiSO4.6H2O, H3BO3 dengan penambahan inhibitor ekstrak kulit buah kakao. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan variasi tegangan elektrodeposisi 1, 2, 3 dan 4 V. Sementara variasi konsentrasi inhibitor ekstrak kulit buah kakao dilakukan dengan variasi konsentrasi 1 % dan 2 %. Waktu elektrodeposisi dilakukan selama 25 menit untuk setiap sampelnya. Terdapat perbedaan morfologi pada baja sebelum dan setelah dielektrodeposisi. Peningkatan tegangan maka hasil dari deposisi terlihat semakin tebal. Dengan melakukan variasi konsentrasi dan variasi tegangan elektrodeposisi, didapatkan konsentrasi yang baik yaitu dengan konsentrasi 1% dengan tegangan 3 Volt. Penambahan inhibitor ekstrak kulit buah kakao membuat morfologi permukaan baja menjadi lebih halus dan lebih merata.

Abstract

During this time the tailstock off which is commonly used is made of castings which is difficult to obtain and the price is quite expensive, and it becomes on obstacle to replace it if there is damage or loss of locking the “tailstock”. For modifying it can be done in order to facilitate the use of machine, which is the modification of the tailstock release on the lathe because the design was previously damage and cannot be used properly and also makes locking more efficient and better than before. With the right material selection and material calculation, the desired target will be achieved perfectly and the use will ber very helpful in the use of loose heads on the lathe.

Abstract

Processing corn kernels into fine corn or corn flour has been widely used various methods to obtain good results and maximum results, therefore a machine was created corn grain chopper with an electric motor so that it can be used by small-scale farmers or MSMEs. The purpose of making this tool is to make corn kernel chopper components such as knife blades, home chopper, hooper, and sieve, as well as knowing the results of the process of chopping corn kernels, and know the quality of the results of the corn kernel chopper. The stages of making this machine are: manufacturing components, component assembly and tool testing. The specifications of the corn grain chopper machine are length 890 mm, width 420 mm, height 1090 mm. The driving source for this corn seed chopper machine is the motor ¼ HP electric with 1400 rpm rotation, using a shaft made of ST 37 steel, in bearings Use a size of 1 inch. The transmission system uses a shaft connected to an electric motor and is connected directly to the blade. After the trial was carried out 3 times, the results were not different from the level of fineness, the enumeration results were very satisfactory and the capacity was obtained machine is 40 kg/hour. The result of after 3 tests, the results did not differ much from the level of refinement for each test. This machine is suitable for owners of large farms, because it is easy to carry.

Abstract

The hydram pump has been designed and manufactured to help people who lack water on plantation land. Hydraulic pumps are an appropriate technology in the field of pumping that use water momentum (water hammer) to raise the pumped water. The design and manufacture of hydram pumps aims to raise water from springs to residents' plantations. The specifications for making a hydram pump are 2 inches for the pump body, 3 inches for the pump air tube, with 3 valves (2 exhaust valves and 1 delivery valve). The results of test 1 at an output height (h) of 1m produced a pump output discharge of 3.12x10-4m3/s, a discharge at the exhaust valve of 7.52x10-4m3/s, and an efficiency of 19.59%. Test 2 at an output height (h) of 2.5m produced a pump output discharge of 2.08x10-4m3/s, a discharge at the exhaust valve of 7.27x10-4m3/s, and an efficiency of 36.96%. Then test 3 at an output height (h) of 5m produced a pump output discharge of 1.08x10-4m3/s, a discharge at the exhaust valve of 7.16x10-4m3/s, and an efficiency of 43.66%. The test results show that the higher the h output, the smaller the water discharge coming out of the hydram pump, and the greater the efficiency of the hydram pump.

Abstract

PT. Semen Padang, sebagai salah satu perusahaan semen terus berinovasi untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk dalam proses produksinya. Salah satu inovasi yang dikembangkan  yaitu alat pengering pozzolan akan digunakan untuk mengeringkan material pozzolan yang mengandung kadar air 18%. Tujuan utama untuk menghasilkan sistem pengering yang efisien, andal, dan sesuai dengan karakteristik material pozzolan yang digunakan di PT Semen Padang. Alat pengering pozzolan didesain menggunakan metode flash drayer dengan bantuan software solidworks yang mampu menyediakan sketsa 2D dan dapat di-upgrade menjadi bentuk 3D, serta juga bisa digambarkan dalam sebuah drawing. Spesifikasi alat pengeringan pozzolan yang dihasilkan panjang alat 2400 mm dan lebar casing 315 mm, massa material pozzolan 60 ton/jam kecepatan rantai yang dibutuhkan 0,03 m/sec dan massa pozzolan pada masing masing rantai scraper 1.333 kg. Alat ini mampu menghilangkan  massa air sampai 78 ton sehingga dapat mencapai 5% kadar air. Desain alat pengering pozzolan yang dirancang dapat mengatasi terjadi kerusakan dan penyumbatan di bagian penyaringan siklon atau filter nantinya.
