Abstract

Macroeconomic factors that could influence IDX’s (JKSE) composite stock price index are crude oil prices, exchange rates from Rupiah to the US dollar, and BI rate. These are three independent variables that take into account several factors and situations in the world economy. The prices of crude oil are an indication of global demand. The exchange rate is based on the economic situation in Indonesia. In response to economic conditions in Indonesia, the Bank of Indonesia has a policy based on the BI Rate. These three variables indicate that when the economy is strong, the stock index also strengthens. The use of the TARCH method explains the volatilities of independent variables and their influence on dependent variables. The TARCH method is used when asymmetric volatility is present. The results of this research show crude oil prices and BI Rate positively and significantly affect the JKSE. This means when the economic condition is strong, the stock index will also be affected positively. While the Rupiah exchange rate has a negative and significant impact. This is because if the conversion rate decreases (Rupiah strengthens), it indicates that the Indonesian economy is strong. Simultaneous tests also show that all three variables influence the JKSE. These variables are examined to understand the impact of macroeconomic variables on the stock index, so readers are expected to have insights into the global economic situation before investing in stocks.

Abstract

Information can be obtained more easily and quickly because of the existence of information technology, one of the uses of information technology is the application of warehouse inventory. PT. Mulia Knitting Factory already has several applications that serve business processes including purchase transactions, stock up to payment processing. However, not all sections have implemented this. Because for now the existing application is only for the input and output of goods from the warehouse, for example in the accessories warehouse. The stock file is not only needed by the warehouse department, but also by the purchasing department. With manual data collection, the inventory of goods is not immediately updated, so that errors in raw material inventory information still often occur. The author makes a web-based inventory application design that will be used by the accessories warehouse section and then can also be viewed or controlled by the purchasing department so that it can make it easier to control the purchase of goods and accessories needed. The research was conducted using the waterfall method to build applications so that the resulting applications are better and of higher quality. The resulting application is then tested using black box testing with the results of all tests being accepted, so the application can be used.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of variations in interlayer thickness on welding time, interface area and hardness values in dissimilar material welded joints using a bar-plate upright rotary friction welding machine. The method used in this research: rotational speed 2,613 rpm, friction pressure 0.5 MPa, forging pressure 0.7 MPa, forging time 10 seconds and interlayer variations (without interlayer, 0.3 mm, 0.5 mm and 1 mm). Tests used in the research: liquid penetrant test, metallography, and Vickers. It can be analyzed that interlayer variations have an effect on welding time. The time results obtained from using an interlayer with a thickness of 0.3 mm resulted in a time of 142.1 seconds, a 0.5 mm interlayer of 168.7 seconds, and a 1 mm interlayer of 204.4 seconds. The results for specimens without using an interlayer obtained a time of 71.3 seconds. The thicker the interlayer used, the longer the welding time. In observing the interface area, giving interlayer variations of 0.3 mm, 0.5 mm and 1 mm had an effect on cracks and cavities where all specimens were not found to have cracks or cavities, but voids were found in welding without allowing interlayer variations. In testing the hardness of interlayer variations with a thickness of 1 mm, the highest hardness was found in the interface area with an average hardness value of 169.56 VHN. Meanwhile, the lowest hardness value in the interface area results from variations without an interlayer with an average hardness value of 149.07 VHN

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the influence of basin geometry on the formation and characteristics of vortex flow using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Three types of basin geometries were investigated: cylindrical, conical, and conical convex. CFD simulations were conducted to observe the velocity distribution, and vortex flow patterns generated by each basin. The results indicate that the conical basin produces vortex flows with higher intensity compared to the cylindrical and conical convex basins. The conical basin demonstrated a more focused flow pattern and higher vortex concentration around the central axis, contributing to enhanced vortex formation efficiency. Although the cylindrical and conical convex basins also generated vortex flows, they exhibited a more dispersed velocity distribution and less stable vortices. These findings provide important insights for the design and optimization of vortex turbine systems, particularly in the context of renewable energy applications.

Abstract

Abstract

Turn-milling is a machining method with a system of merging turning and milling operations, which the workpieces and cutting tool perform rotary motion synchronously to optimize the disposal process of chip materials. Development of turn-milling can be done on the lathe and milling conventional machining. The purpose of this study is to modify a conventional lathe with a stationary cutting tool and use a single cutting edge into a rotary tool using 4 (four) cutting sides (multy point cutting). In the manufacture and installation of rotary tool on conventional lathes, tools are made portable and can work on tangential, orthogonal and co-axial turn-milling systems. For the orthogonal and co-axial operating system of the turn-milling are divided into up and down operating systems. In this research the phenomenon of material disposal process of the work-piece surface was investigated. In the process of turn-milling test, the chip was removed automatically as the turn of the cutting edge of the endmill cutting tool. The high decreasing of cutting knife rotation during testing was resulted a space during the process of disposal of material. Sequence, it was occurred pores or cavities in the work-piece.

Abstract

Friction welding is a solid-state welding without the use of filler metal by using pressure method where by two workpieces to be connected. It is placed in contact and regulated relative motion in pressure, so that on the contact surface being heat (close to the metal liquid point), which form the metal connection. A friction welding machine in the laboratory of technology production of the University of Riau has some disadvantages, namely the electric motor as a driver head stock stems that are often damaged due to overheating such as excessive during welding. Thus was interfering with the welding process due to damage to the electric motor. Therefore, this paper purpose is carried out the development of friction welding tool by using flywheel. The Flywheel stores energy during high engine speed, and passes it during low engine speeds to produce a steady turn. In this study used three flywheels with a diameter of 250 mm, which each thick of 10 mm, 20 mm and 30 mm. From the test is obtained the value of the average tensile strength on each flywheel that is 522.736 MPa, 510.648 MPa and 531.79 Mpa.
