Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan komposisi media tanam yang tepat untuk pertumbuhan bibit sirih merah  (Piper crocatumRuiz & Pav.). Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Riau, Kampus Bina Widya KM 12,5 Kelurahan Simpang Baru, Kecamatan Tampan, Kota Pekanbaru  selama empat bulan dimulai dari bulan Juni hinggaSeptember 2018. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara eksperimen menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap(RAL), yangterdiri dari: P0 = kontrol, P1 = Tanah Inceptisollapisan atas + Pupuk andang Ayam (3 :1), P2 = Tanah Inceptisollapisan atas + Arang Sekam (3 : 1), P3 = Tanah Inceptisollapisan atas + Cocopeat (3 : 1), P4 = TanahInceptisollapisan atas + Arang sekam + Pupuk kandang ayam (2:1:1), P5 = Tanah Inceptisollapisan atas + Cocopeat + Pupuk kandang ayam (2:1:1), P6 = TanahInceptisollapisan atas + Cocopeat + Arang sekam + Pupuk kandang ayam (1:1:1:1). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa campuran media tanam tanah Inceptisol + pupuk kandang ayam meningkatkan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun dan jumlah buku tanaman.Kata kunci: Inceptisol lapisan atas, arang sekam, cocopeat, pupuk kandang ayam, sirih merah.

Abstract

One of the efforts to increase the production of eggplant in an intensified manner is to balance fertilization. This study aims to determine the effect of giving sago pulp compost with different activators, as well as the best treatment in increasing the growth and production of eggplant. The research was carried out at UPT Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau in May to August 2018 experimentally using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of six treatments and three replications. Treatment includes S0 = Without compost, S1 = Sago waste, S2 = Compost sago waste with chicken manure activator, S3 = Compost sago waste with EM4 activator, S4 = Compost sago waste with Trichoderma activator, and S5 = Compost sago waste with Bacillus activator, each of 5 tons.ha-1 or 1,26 kg per 2,52 m2. The observed parameters included total N, total P, total K, pH, organic C, plant height, stem diameter, flowering day, harvest day, fruit weight, fruit diameter, fruit length, fruit weight per plant, number of fruits per plant, and production per plot on eggplant. The results showed that the nutrient content of N, P, K from the compost use each activator results had met the SNI compost quality standard (2004). Sago waste compost fertilizer with activator EM4 has a best chemical content of pH value 7.12, N-total 0.92%, P-total 1.26%, K-total 1.16% and C/N 33.54 and compost was able to increase fruit weight, fruit diameter, fruit length, fruit weight per plant, number of fruits per plant and production per eggplant plot. Compost of sago waste with chicken manure activator (5 ton.ha-1) was able to increase the growth of plant height and stem diameter of eggplant.Keywords: Compost, Sago waste, Activator, Eggplant, Quality of compost

Abstract

This study is aimed at knowing the influence of mikoriza and rock phosphateand get a combination of good treatment for growth and production of sweet corn (Zea mays saccarata Sturt) on peat land. This research has been implemented from August 2016 to November 2016 at the research garden of Agriculture faculty University of Riau, at a village of Rimbo Panjang, Tambang, Kampar district. Research was conducted by experimental design factorial of 3 x 4, arranged completely random draft (CRD). Factor I is application of mikoriza, M0 = without mikoriza, M1 = mikoriza 10 g per plant, M2 = mikoriza 20 g per plant and factor II is application of rock phosphate, P0 = without rock phosphate, P1 = rock phosphate267,85 kg.ha-1, P2 = rock phosphate535,71 kg.ha-1 and P3 = rock phosphate803,57 kg.ha-1. The results showed that application of mikoriza 20 g per plant and rock phosphate535,71 kg.ha-1 increased the percentage of the mikoriza infection from 15,50% to 83,00%, high of plant from 185,88 cm to 227,48 cm, leaf wide from 341,97 cm2 to 545,06 cm2, stem diameter from 1,75 cm to 2,25 cm, speed up the time appears to be a male flower from 51,50 HST to 48,00 HST, diameterof cob from 4,63 cm to 5,31 cm and increasing production per plot from 2,30 kg 4,5 m-2 to 4,95 kg 4,5 m-2 compared application of mikoriza 0 g per plant and rock phosphate 535,71 kg.ha-1.Keywords : sweet corn, mikoriza, rock phosphate

Abstract

Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merril) is a type of food that has high nutrition, so it is consumed by many people. The need for soybeans in Indonesia increases every year, while Indonesia's soybean production is not enough to cover soybean needs in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the effect of Organo Triba fertilizer supplemented with half the dose of NPK and get the best dosage for growth and components of soybean yields and compare with full dose NPK recommendations. This research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau. This study used a randomized block design (RBD) of 1 factor and 4 replications with a control level as a comparison. The factors used were 5 doses of tribal organo fertilizer with 1/2 dose of NPK fertilizer and control levels with recommended dosage NPK without tribal organo. The results showed that 1.5 ton.ha-1 tribal fertilizer with 1/2 dose of NPK showed better results among other treatments in increasing the number of branches. Organo Triba fertilizer with 1/2 dose of NPK does not increase the yield component, because the nutrients that are sufficient in the growing media. Keywords:     Soybean, Organo Triba fertilizer, NPK fertilizer

Abstract

Rice plants (Oryza sativa L.) is important food crops in Indonesia to boost production of upland rice crop nutrients needed in sufficient quantities especially N, P dan K. This research aims is to determine where the rice varieties that give effect to N, P and K fertilizer. This research was conducted in screen house of Agriculture Faculty at Riau University, Pekanbaru. This research take 7 months start from August 2013 till February 2014. This research was performed experimentally using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consist of 2 factor,  tested by LSD 5% level. The first factor is the upland rice varieties cosisting of varieties Santan, varieties Pulau Petai and vvarieties Inpago 5 and second factor N, P dan K fertilizer. The results showed the granting of a wide measure of fertilizer N, P dan K are not real movers shakers of all parameters, except for the amount of grain panicle effect is real and varieties pulau petai give relatively higher results when viewed from the result. Grating a rate of fertilizer (Urea 0,38 g, SP-36 0,34 g, KCl 0,15 g/clumps) on inpago varieties can increase the height of the plant, tillers maxsimum number, number of productive tillers and the amount of grain panicle. While granting a measure (Urea 0,75 g, SP-36 0,68 g, KCl 0,3 g/clumps) increased panicle emergence time, percentage pithy grain per panicle, grain weight clumps dan weight of 1000 filled grain. Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of bokashi fertilizer and NPK on growth and production of sweet corn. This research was conducted at the experimental farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Pekanbaru from April 2014 to July 2014. The study was carried out experiments using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) factorial consisting of two factors: Bokashi and NPK fertilizer with 3 replications. Parameters measured were plant height, time of harvest, number of cobs per plot, the diameter of the cob without husk, cob length without husk, cob weight without husk, cob weight with husk, and production per plot. The results showed that the combination of Bokashi and NPK fertilizer application significanly affected the harvest age and numbers of cobs, bokashi fertilizer treatments significanly affected the diameter of the cob whitout husk and cob weight without husk whereas NPK fertilizer treatment significanly affected plant height, time of harvest, number of cob per plot and prodution per plot. Bokashi fertilizer application 15 ton/ha and 150 kg/ha NPK/ha can accelerategrowth and production of sweet corn.   Keywords: Sweet corn, bokashi fertilizer, NPK fertilizer

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the effects of herbicides types used in weed control against sweet corn growth and production on a triangular planting system. The experiment has been conducted at the Experimental Farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University, Soil Laboratory agricultural faculty, and Botani Laboratory FMIPA Riau University from December 2016 to March 2017. The experimental unit was arranged in a Completely Randomized Design, consisting of 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments consisted of the without herbicides, herbicides isopropil amina glifosat, paraquat diclorida and mesotrion + atrazine. The Observed parameter are planth height, girth diameter, chlorofil content, male and female flower appearance time, cob weight without cornhusk per plant, cob yield cornhusk per plot, number of seed rows, cob diameter, cob length, weed plant biomass and vegetation analysis before and after treatment. The data acquaired from analysis of variance were tested with Duncan’s multiple range test at 5% level. Research result shows that Mesotrion + Atrazine treatments is better in raising sweet corn yield component. Key words : Herbicide, triangular planting system, sweet corn

Abstract

This research aimed to study the giving effect of rice husk ash with good NPK fertilizer towards the growth and production of sweet corn in peat soil. This experiment was conducted at the experimental farm of the Agriculture Faculty, Rimbo Panjang, Kampar and carried out in Juni until September 2014. This research was carried out experimentally using randomized block design (RBD) non factorial consisted of 6 treatments with 4 repetitions which resulting 24 experimental plots. Each experimental unit consisted of 24 plants and 6 plants as samples. The treatments were: AN1: without rice husk ash with NPK 300 kg/ha (135 g/plot), AN2: rice husk ash 3 ton/ha (1350 g/plot) with NPK 300 kg/ha (135 g/plot), AN3: rice husk ash 6 ton/ha (2700 g/plot) with NPK 300 kg/ha (135 g/plot), AN4: without rice husk ash with NPK 600 kg/ha (270 g/plot), AN5: rice husk ash 3 ton/ha (1350 g/plot) with NPK 600 kg/ha (270 g/plot), AN6: rice husk ash 6 ton/ha (2700 g/plot) with NPK 600 kg/ha (270 g/plot). The results of experiment that was obtained using analysis of variance were tested further with  DNMRT (Duncan's New Multiple Range Test) at the level 5%. Based on the results of this research, the recommended doses are rice husk ash 3 ton/ha (1350 g/plot) and NPK 600 kg/ha (270 g/plot).   Keywords: sweet corn, rice husk ash, NPK fertilizer

Abstract

Rice is plant resulting rice which become main food to people but production of rice still low and need an effort to increase the production of rice. The research aims to obtain the best dosage of rice husk ash with manure on the growth and yield of field rice in peatland at hall of oil palm area. The research was conducted at the experimental farm of the Agricultural Faculty University of Riau, Rimbo Panjang Kampar from August-December 2014. The research was conducted completely a Randomized Block Design (RBD) factorial consisting of 2 factors with 3 replications. The first factor are: Aplication of rice husk ash with 4 level (tons/ha) namely : A0 (0), A1 (2.5), A2 (5), A3 (7.5) and the second factor are : Manure application with 3 levels (tons / ha), namely: K0 (0), K1 (5), K2 (10). The data obtained by analysis of variance (ANOVA) was tested further by Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the level of 5%. The results showed that the application of rice husk ash 7.5 tons / ha and manure 5 tons/ha gave the highest yield of dry grain is 1056.67 g (equal to 3:52 tons / ha). Abstract

Meranti Islands District is one of the development areas of national food security as the biggest sago producer in Indonesia. The area of sago palm Meranti Islands District is 38 163 ha. Tebing Tinggi Subdistrict West has a land area of 2,573 hectares. This study aims to look at the differences sago cultivation techniques in wet and dry land in the District of West Tebing Tinggi,  Meranti Islands. This research has been conducted in the district of West Tebing Tinggi,  Meranti Islands regency in Riau province. Implementation of this research was conducted during one month is in September and October 2016. The method applied was a survey and observation. Determining soil sample in this study using the purposive random sampling method. The data collected in this study the primary data and secondary data. Data were analyzed by t-test in the form of quantitative and qualitative data is presented in Table. The results showed no significant  impact, either care, maintenance, HPT control, time of harvest and only significant in the weed control. The type of sago in Sub Tebing Tinggi Southwestern namely tuni, ihur and molat and different harvested based on age, and through the development phase of the sago palm. Keywords : Study,Sago palm cultivation, People
