Abstract

Ekosistem mangrove memberikan fungsi-fungsi penting bagi manusia dan lingkungan sekitar. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis dan memetakan jasa ekosistem mangrove bagi masyarakat dan lingkungan. Lokasi penelitian adalah ekosistem mangrove di Kawasan Hutan Lindung Pulau Rimau, Kabupaten Banyuasin, Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Data primer berupa data ekologi dan sosial. Data ekologi meliputi keragaman abiotik, keanekaragaman jenis mangrove, struktur vegetasi pohon mangrove, keragaman fauna, pH substrat mangrove, dan pH air; sedangkan data sosial adalah persepsi masyarakat tentang ekosistem mangrove. Data sekunder mencakup berbagai informasi penunjang yang diperlukan, yaitu penggunaan lahan, pemetaan lahan mangrove, dan data-data lain terkait jasa ekosistem. Untuk pengambilan data sosial, populasi penelitian adalah warga Kecamatan Pulau Rimau dan Tanjung Lago yang memanfaatkan jasa ekosistem mangrove, sedangkan sampel penelitian berjumlah 60 orang, ditentukan secara random sampling. Data primer yang diperoleh dari survei lapangan disajikan dalam bentuk tabulasi, grafik, dan uraian. Analisis jasa ekosistem menggunakan Matriks Permintaaan-Penawaran jasa ekosistem bagi masyarakat, dengan menilai kapasitas ekosistem, permintaan jasa ekosistem, dan keseimbangan jasa ekosistem. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kapasitas ekosistem mempunyai relevansi sedang sampai tinggi, dan mempunyai nilai jasa yang berlebih dibandingkan dengan permintaan, artinya ekosistem dalam kondisi baik.

Abstract

Ikan merupakan salah satu bahan makanan yang banyak mengandung protein, salah satu jenis zat makanan esensial yang sangat dibutuhkan untuk menjaga kesehatan tubuh. Walau kandungan proteinnya tinggi, namun masyarakat Indonesia masih sedikit yang gemar makan ikan, sehingga tingkat konsumsi ikan di Indonesia masih rendah. Masyarakat yang tidak terbiasa dengan budaya makan ikan, agak sulit untuk mengonsumsi ikan karena baunya yang amis. Beberapa upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi bau amis ikan, di antaranya dengan mengolahnya menjadi hasil olahan ikan yang digemari masyarakat. Desa Pondok Cabe Ilir, Kecamatan Pamulang, Kota Tangerang Selatan (Tangsel) adalah desa yang berhubungan langsung dengan lokasi kantor pusat Universitas Terbuka. Sama dengan skala nasional, tingkat konsumsi ikan masyarakat di desa juga ini relatif masih rendah. Untuk menyukseskan gerakan memasyarakatkan makan ikan (Gemarikan) di Desa Pondok Cabe Ilir, kegiatan penyuluhan dilakukan di Majelis Taklim Muslimatul Hidayah, salah satu majelis taklim di Desa Pondok Cabe Ilir. Kegiatan tersebut dilaksanakan dengan metode penyuluhan kepada ibu-ibu anggota mejelis taklim, karena ibu-ibu dianggap memegang peranan penting di keluarga agar para anggota keluarga gemar makan ikan. Setelah penyuluhan, diharapkan ibu-ibu anggota Majelis Taklim Muslimatul Hidayah dapat menularkan sikap dan pengetahuannya kepada warga masyarakat lain. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam empat tahap. 1) Penyuluhan secara tatap muka tentang penggunaan fasilitas rapat secara daring. 2) Penyuluhan pengetahuan dengan materi kandungan nutrisi ikan dan pentingnya makan ikan (daring). 3) Pelatihan keterampilan pengolahan hasil perikanan tahap 1 (daring dan video). 4) Pelatihan keterampilan pengolahan hasil perikanan tahap 2 (daring dan video). Fish is a food ingredient that contains a lot of protein, one type of essential food substance that is really needed to maintain a healthy body. Even though the protein content is high, there are still few Indonesian people who like to eat fish, so the level of fish consumption in Indonesia is still low. People who are not used to the culture of eating fish find it quite difficult to consume fish because of its fishy smell. Several efforts can be made to overcome the fishy smell of fish, including processing it into processed fish products that are popular with the public. Pondok Cabe Ilir Village, Pamulang District, South Tangerang City (Tangsel) is a village that is directly connected to the location of the Open University head office. Similar to the national scale, the level of fish consumption in rural communities is still relatively low. To make the movement to promote fish eating (Gemarikan) a success in Pondok Cabe Ilir Village, outreach activities were carried out at the Muslimatul Hidayah Taklim Council, one of the taklim assemblies in Pondok Cabe Ilir Village. This activity was carried out using the counseling method for mothers who were members of the taklim assembly, because mothers are considered to play an important role in the family so that family members like to eat fish. After the counseling, it is hoped that the women members of the Muslimatul Hidayah Taklim Council can pass on their attitudes and knowledge to other members of the community. Activities are carried out in four stages. 1) Face-to[1]face counseling regarding the use of online meeting facilities. 2) Knowledge outreach with material on the nutritional content of fish and the importance of eating fish (online). 3) Stage 1 fishery product processing skills training (online and video). 4) Stage 2 fishery product processing skills training (online and video). Abstract

Desa Segara Jaya, Kecamatan Taruma Jaya, Kabupaten Bekasi adalah desa yang berhubungan langsung dengan laut di kawasan pantai utara (Pantura) Pulau Jawa. Rajungan adalah hasil tangkapan utama nelayan di Segara Jaya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, panjang rata-rata rajungan hasil tangkapan nelayan lebih kecil dari pada ukuran yang telah ditetapkan oleh pemerintah. Oleh karena itu, perlu upaya untuk memulihkan sumber daya rajungan di Segara Jaya. Salah satunya adalah dengan pemberdayaan nelayan penangkap rajungan. Kegiatan pemberdayaan nelayan dilaksanakan dengan metode penyuluhan kepada nelayan dan juga dengan mengampanyekan tentang kelestarian rajungan, karena nelayan memegang peranan penting pada kegiatan penangkapan rajungan. Setelah penyuluhan dan edukasi serta kampanye, diharapkan nelayan dapat menularkan sikap dan pengetahuannya kepada warga masyarakat lain. Penyuluhan pengetahuan dilaksanakan dalam empat tahap yaitu: penyuluhan pentingnya kelestarian sumber daya rajungan, penyuluhan pengetahuan tentang ukuran rajungan yang boleh ditangkap, kampanye pelestarian rajungan (melalui desain kaos), dan monitoring dan evaluasi. Dengan diberikannya penyuluhan diharapkan adanya peningkatan kesadaran nelayan untuk lebih selektif dalam melakukan penangkapan rajungan dan tidak menangkap rajungan di bawah ukuran yang telah ditetapkan Pemerintah. Segara Jaya Village, Taruma Jaya District, Bekasi Regency is a village directly related to the sea on the north coast of Java Island. Blue swimming crabs are the main catch of fishermen in Segara Jaya. Based on the results of the study, the average length of crab caught by fishermen is smaller than the size set by the government. Therefore, efforts are needed to restore the crab resources in Segara Jaya. One of them is by empowering crab catchers. Fishermen empowerment activities are carried out by counseling methods for fishermen and also by campaigning for crab sustainability, because fishermen play an important role in crab catching activities. After counseling and education as well as campaigns, it is hoped that fishermen can transmit their attitudes and knowledge to other members of the community. Knowledge education was carried out in four stages, namely: counseling on the importance of preserving blue crab resources, knowledge dissemination on the sizes of crabs that can be caught, crab preservation campaigns (through t-shirt designs), and monitoring and evaluation. By providing counseling, it is hoped that there will be an increase in fishermen's awareness to be more selective in catching crabs and not catching crabs below the size set by the Government.

Abstract

Kawasan Konservasi Perairan Bintan Provinsi Kepulauan Riau telah ditetapkan oleh Menteri Kelautan dan Perikanan sesuai KEPMEN-KP-18 Tahun 2022 dikelola sebagai Taman Wisata Perairan. Tujuan penelitian menganalisis kesesuaian daerah penangkapan ikan di kawasan TWP di Timur Pulau Bintan berdasarkan peta potensi penangkapan ikan, menganalisis persepsi nelayan terhadap alat tangkap ramah lingkungan menurut CCRF dan menganalisis kepatuhan nelayan terhadap penggunaan alat tangkap ramah lingkungan di kawasan TWP Timur Pulau Bintan dengan metode deskriptif. Penelitian dilaksanakanpada bulan Maret sampai dengan Mei 2024 di Area II TWP Timur Pulau Bintan (Kecamatan Gunung Kijang). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi dan wawancara menggunakan kuisioner CCRF. Analisis data menggunakan penyesusaian faktor oseanografi perairan dengan tabel kriteria kesesuaian keberadaan ikan, persepsi nelayan dianalisis menggunakan pembobotan nilai kuisioner dan kepatuhan nelayan dianlisis dengan membandingkan aturan pemerintah, data dari pihak terkait dengan kondisi di lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peta potensi penangkapan ikan pelagis berada di sekitar Pulau Malangsama, Pulau Malang Pandan dan di Pesisir Perairan Kelurahan Kawal, selanjutnya diikuti oleh lokasi di daerah Pulau Nikoi, Pulau Beralas Pasir dan Pulau Beralas Bakau dan yang terakhir lokasi penangkapan ikan demersal adalah di Pulau Penyusuk, sedangkan untuk daerah penangkapan ikan yang memiliki potensial tertinggi untuk ikan pelagis adalah perairan yang beada di antara Pulau Malangsama, Malang Pandan dan Mangkil sedangkan prioritas kedua yaitu perairan Pulau Nikoi dan Pulau Penyusuk, sedangkan priotiras 3 berlokasi di perairan yang berada diatas Pulau Nikoi. Alat tangkap yang digunakan nelayan di Area II TWP Timur Pulau Bintan termasuk alat tangkap yang masuk dalam katagori ramah lingkungan dan nelayan memiliki tingkat kepatuhan yang sangat tinggi terhadap aturan yang ada baik terkait penggunaan alat tangkap yang ramah lingkungan, kepemilikan dokumen kapal dan kesesuaian jalur penangkapan ikan.

Abstract

Tulungagung Regency, located in East Java Province, is a region with significant fisheries potential, encompassing both marine capture and aquaculture. With 12,220 cultivators actively engaged in aquaculture, Tulungagung stands out as a key area for freshwater fish farming, particularly for species such as catfish, gourami, and tilapia. However, for these cultivators to succeed, it is crucial to assess the sustainability of their operations and develop effective business strategies. This research focuses on identifying the gaps in current cultivation practices and offering solutions to ensure both sustainability and profitability, especially in the catfish farming sector. Using a quantitative approach, the study surveyed 71 catfish cultivators across five prominent sub-districts in Tulungagung Regency. Data were gathered through observations and questionnaires distributed to the respondents in the January – April 2024 range. The sustainability of the catfish farming business was evaluated using a Likert scale, which assessed four key dimensions: technological, ecological, economic, and social. Additionally, a SWOT analysis was conducted to determine the most appropriate strategies for business development. The findings revealed that the combined index for the four sustainability dimensions was 72.78%, indicating that the catfish farming industry in Tulungagung Regency is relatively sustainable. The SWOT analysis positioned the business development strategy in quadrant II, suggesting a diversification approach that leverages the business's internal strengths to mitigate external threats.

Abstract

Parents who have a high level of education tend to understand more and think that education is very important for their children, so they prioritize education for their children. In addition, the way to educate children tends to be different between parents who have a high level of education and those with low education. The aim of this study is to analyze the parental role to improve literacy skills on students. This study is qualitative research with the subject is parents of students, moreover the Interview will be the instrument and data collection of this study. However, data collection of this using interview with survey method to get data from participants. However, data triangulation is data analyzing method for this study. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The population is 134 people, using a tolerance level of 5%, it can be seen that the number of samples in this study were 100 parents. The result found that Online learning is inseparable from problems that are obstacles in its literacy skills of elementary students, including online learning for elementary school students such as limited telecommunication networks. It is important to know the barriers for parents to assist their children to improve their literacy skills in online learning, solutions and projections of online learning for elementary school students.in conclusion, role of parents could take responsibility of their children in improving literacy skills through online learning for elementary school.

Abstract

Fish consumption is essential for health as it is rich in protein, omega-3, vitamins, and minerals. Increasing fish consumption requires support from effective institutions, including government policies and distribution infrastructure. Innovations such as “Catering Sehat” (Catering Sehat) and Gemarikan (Gerakan Memasyarakatkan Makan Ikan or the Movement to Encourage Fish Consumption) aim to boost fish consumption by providing nutritious meals for families at risk of stunting. This study aims to identify the issues, the actors/institutions involved, the necessary programs and activities, and to analyze public and stakeholder perceptions of the regulations and institutions supporting fish consumption in Silo District, Jember Regency. The research was conducted from October to November 2024 using a quantitative method with questionnaires distributed to 100 pregnant women or mothers of children under two (Baduta) and five experts. Data analysis was performed using Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM). The findings reveal that inadequate knowledge of fish’s nutritional content, influenced by low education levels, is a key factor contributing to low fish consumption. All institutions – including the Fisheries Office, BAPPEDA, Health Office (Dinkes), DKPP, DP3AKB, the District Stunting Reduction Acceleration Team (TPPS), Pemerintah Desa, Rumah Desa Sehat (RDS), Posyandu, Non-Governmental Organizations, Community Leaders, and Public/ Private Universities – play a crucial role in promoting fish consumption. Efforts such as nutritional fulfillment, Catering Sehat, and Gemarikan programs are essential initiatives to enhance fish consumption.

Abstract

Purpose – The purpose of the research is to determine the influence and relationship of risk management, the effectiveness of its application to improve performance in the Riau High Court by placing the effectiveness of the implementation of risk management as an intervening variable.Methodology/approach – This research is explanatory descriptive with a quantitative approach. The subject of this study is the risk owner of the Riau High Court. Sampling was done using the probability sampling method with proportionate stratified random sampling. The respondents totaled 56 respondents of the Riau High Court. Data collection was carried out with a closed-ended questionnaire with a likert scale. The analysis method used is Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS SEM) with the help of SmartPLS software version4.Findings – This study found that the application of risk management has very strong effect size on the effectiveness of absorption and organization as well as performance. The effectiveness of the application as an intervener has a weak impact on performance, which. The results of the hypothesis test showed that effectiveness had positive relationship, but did not have a significant effect on performance improvement. The application of risk management has a positive and significant effect on the effectiveness of the implementation and. The application of risk management has positive and significant effect on improving the performance. An R2 analysis showed that risk management factors were able to explain 86% of the effectiveness factor. Meanwhile, risk management and effectiveness can explain the 90% performance improvement factor. This shows that there are still 14% of the effectiveness factors and 10% of the performance factors

Abstract

Indonesia has been a pioneer in sustainable tuna management, so the ecosystem approach to fisheries management (Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management, EAFM) is considered vital. One of the potential areas for tuna fishing is the Sangihe Islands Waters. An assessment utilizing the Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management (EAFM) methodology was conducted to determine the management status of the tuna fishery in Sangihe Island Regency. The evaluation focused on indicators across six domains: institutional, economic, social, fishing technology, habitat, and ecosystems, as well as fisheries resources. By improving the composite index, the flag model approach was used to multi-criteria analysis. With a score of 67, the research indicates that the tuna fisheries management status in Sangihe Island Regency is in the Good category. Indicators in the social, ecological, and habitat domains identified problem areas that urgently require repair. The fisheries resources domain aggregate status (very good) indicated that tuna are in very good condition, and there is a reliable supply of them, supporting the very good status in the fishing techniques, economic, and institutional domains, which relate to the welfare of fishing communities. Improving tuna fisheries management in Sangihe requires focusing on habitat and ecosystem health, preventing heavy metal pollution, and actively involving stakeholders in decision-making. Engaging the community, enhancing monitoring, and preserving local knowledge are key to balancing resource use and environmental conservation.
