Abstract

This study is motivated by the low student learning outcomes in IPAS learning, especially the material of various kinds of community economic activities in class V SD GMIT Oebobo which is due to the use of learning media that is less varied so that it triggers student boredom and difficulty in understanding learning. The formulation of the problem in this study is how to improve student learning outcomes on the material of various kinds of community economic activities through the use of interactive media based on the wordwall website. Because the purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes in the material of various kinds of community economic activities through the use of interactive media based on the wordwall website. The type of research used in this research is Classroom Action Research which is carried out in 2 cycles, where each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely 1) Planning, 2) Implementation, 3) Observation, and 4) Reflection. The data collection techniques were observation, tests, and documentation studies while the data analysis was descriptive analysis. The results showed that the percentage of student learning outcomes completed in cycle I of 34% increased to 100% in cycle II of the 26 student test results analyzed. The use of interactive media in this lesson also improved the criteria for student activity which in cycle I was in the sufficient criteria increased to very good in cycle II and the criteria for teacher activity which in cycle I was in the good criteria increased to very good in cycle II. Thus, the use of interactive media based on wordwall website in learning about various economic activities of the community can improve student learning outcomes of IPAS learning in grade V of GMIT Oebobo Elementary School.

Abstract

Elementary School subjects that combine Natural Sciences (IPA) and Social Sciences (IPS) are Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS). This subject studies living things, inanimate objects, and the interactions between the two, as well as human life as individuals and social beings who interact with their environment. Therefore, supporting tools are needed in the learning process that occurs in the classroom such as innovative learning media to facilitate student understanding. Learning media are tools or means used in the teaching and learning process to facilitate the delivery of material and increase the effectiveness of learning, for example quizwhizzer, an interactive game-based learning platform designed to make the learning process more interesting and enjoyable. Based on the study above, this study focuses on testing this application as a learning medium in the material of sounds around us for fifth grade students at Batuplat 1 Elementary School using a quantitative approach.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran PowerPoint interaktif pada mata pelajaran IPAS untuk siswa kelas V di SD Inpres Perumnas 2 kota Kupang, dengan fokus pada validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Permasalahan utama yang ditemukan adalah kurangnya media interaktif yang menarik, sehingga berdampak pada rendahnya motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, yang terdiri dari tahap analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket validasi ahli, respon siswa dan guru, serta tes hasil belajar siswa. Subjek penelitian melibatkan ahli materi, ahli media, guru, dan siswa kelas V SD Inpres Perumnas 2 kota Kupang. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa media ini memperoleh persentase 88,54% (sangat valid) dari ahli materi dan ahli media. Uji kepraktisan melalui angket guru dan siswa menghasilkan persentase 98,40% (sangat praktis). Keefektifan diukur dari hasil tes siswa setelah penggunaan media, dengan persentase ketuntasan 91,75% (sangat efektif). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran PowerPoint interaktif valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, media ini cocok digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPAS kelas V di SD Inpres Perumnas 2 kota Kupang.

Abstract

The research aims to develop a Science Module based on Local Culture to enhance the Critical Thinking Skills of prospective Elementary School Teachers. This type of research is development research, using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The subjects of this study were 30 fifth-semester students of the Elementary School Teacher Education Program, who acted as prospective teachers and used the Local Culture-Based Science Module in their coursework as part of a trial of the module's use. The data collection methods employed were questionnaires to gather information on validation, attractiveness, and practicality, as well as tests to assess effectiveness. The data analysis technique used was descriptive quantitative analysis, where total scores and values were calculated and then averaged to be interpreted according to predetermined criteria. The results obtained from the research process showed that the Local Culture-Based Science Module was valid with a validity score of 3.85, attractive with a score of 82.2, practical with a score of 80, and effective with an average final test score of 83.06. In conclusion, the Local Culture-Based Science Module is valid, attractive, practical, and effective for use as a teaching guide for prospective elementary school teachers

Abstract

The learning process that does not focus on student needs causes low learning outcomes. This is evidenced by the problems in the field, namely the learning outcomes of grade IV students of UPTD SD Inpres Perumnas 2 during the Mid-Semester Summative; only 13 students have completed it out of 30 other students. Thus, this study aims to improve student's learning outcomes by applying the Problem-Based Learning model. This study uses the Classroom Action Research method, with data collection techniques through observation and tests. This study consists of two consecutive cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. The results of the cycle I showed that 13 students (43.33%) had achieved the criteria for achieving learning objectives or had been declared complete because students always listened to the teacher's explanation and could work on evaluation questions correctly. While the other 17 students (56.67%) had not been declared complete because students were not focused on learning, even students had not done the evaluation questions properly. Student learning outcomes in cycle II showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes, with 26 students (86.67%) achieving KKTP or declared complete because the students were active, listened to the teacher's explanation, and did the evaluation questions well. The other 4 students (13.33%) did not achieve KKTP because they did not give their opinions during the discussion, disturbed each other, and could not even do the evaluation questions correctly. The completion of student learning outcomes in cycle II had reached 86.67%, so it was included in the very good criteria. It is known that learning by implementing the Problem-Based Learning model is very effective and can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi Keragaman Budaya Indonesia melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) di kelas V SD GMIT Kuanino 1. Masalah utama yang dihadapi dalam pembelajaran adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa karena metode pembelajaran yang digunakan masih berpusat pada guru. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang terdiri atas empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 18 siswa kelas V SD GMIT Kuanino 1. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa serta pemberian tes hasil belajar Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa, dan hasil belajar. Aktivitas guru meningkat dari 70% pada siklus I menjadi 94% pada siklus II. Aktivitas siswa meningkat dari 68% menjadi 96%, dan ketuntasan belajar meningkat dari 61,11% pada siklus I menjadi 100% pada siklus II. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa model PBL efektif dalam meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa sekolah dasar.
