Abstract

Permasalahan lingkungan yang seringkali terjadi adalah penumpukan sampah-sampah rumah tangga. Semua rumah tangga menghasilkan sampah, baik organik dan anorganik yang berpotensi untuk mencemari lingkungan. Kelurahan Sawojajar, Kotamadya Malang merupakan target dalam implementasi kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat bertema lingkungan hidup. Adanya permasalahan bagaimana mengolah sampah organik dan pemanfataan lahan terbatas dijawab dengan menerapkan metode keranjang Takakura dan tanaman jejer. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan metode ceramah/ diskusi, workshop, praktek, dan observasi. Metode diskusi dan workshop digunakan sebagai media untuk menyampaikan materi dan memahami pentingnya menjaga lingkungan hidup, mengolah sampah organik dan bertanam sayuran. Praktek dan observasi digunakan untuk mengaplikasikan materi yang sudah diperoleh sekaligus mengamati kemampuan masyarakat sebagai evaluasi dan kegiatan berkesinambungan. Hasil yang sudah diperoleh melalui kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya kesadaran kelompok mitra mengenai pentingnya mengolah sampah organik, meningkatnya kemampuan dalam membuat keranjang kompos takakura sebagai sarana pembuatan sampah menjadi kompos, dan mempunyai kemapuan menanam sayuran di halaman rumah atau sekitar.Kata kunci : Sawojajar, Takakura, sampah, tanaman jejer

Abstract

Tomatoes are horticultural product widely grown in Indonesia and consumed by societies. They contain minerals, vitamins, and bioactive compounds beneficial for health. Unfortunately, tomatoes quickly decline in quality, causing their post-harvest shelf life to be short. One attempt to prevent the wastage of tomatoes is to process them into sauce products. To extend the stability of tomato sauce, food-grade preservatives such as citric acid need to be added. Furthermore, different packaging also affects the stability of tomato sauce. This study used citric acid with varying concentrations of 0.05%, 0.10% and 0.15%. The packaging used included Clear Glass Bottles, Dark Glass Bottles, Clear Plastic Bottles, and Dark Plastic Bottles. The tomato sauce was evaluated by room storage for 30 days to investigate the stability of water content, acidity level, and total microbes. Adding 0.15% citric acid may be considered in preserving tomato sauce with a difference in increasing water content of 1.7%, a difference in decreasing pH of 0.1, and a difference in increasing total microbes of 1.4 cfu/g. Using a dark glass bottle may better protect tomato sauce from quality degradation.

Abstract

Pentingnya pendidikan bagi generasi muda Indonesia telah mendorong institusi pendidikan gencar meningkatkan mutu kurikulum. Kerja sama antar jenjang institusi pendidikan perlu dilakukan sehingga kualitas peserta didik semakin diperkaya. Fakultas Pertanian (FP) Universitas Dr. Soetomo (Unitomo) Surabaya telah melaksanakan program pengabdian masyarakat dengan SMA Al-Islam Sidoarjo melalui program binaan. Dalam hal ini FP Unitomo melaksanakan pendampingan edukasi terhadap 525 siswa SMA Al-Islam dengan menggunakan topik Diversifikasi Produk Olahan Pangan Berbasis Tepung-Tepungan. Pendampingan edukasi ini dilaksanakan melalui pemaparan materi, praktik pengolahan pangan, dan pameran produk hasil olahan tepung-tepungan yang dirancangkan. Adanya pelaksanaan rangkaian acara ini telah berhasil memperkaya minat dan pengetahuan peserta didik SMA Al-Islami sehingga inovasi dan jiwa kewirausahaan peserta didik terbentuk.

Abstract

Abstrak Curriculum Vitae (CV) adalah dokumen yang berisi informasi mengenai riwayat hidup seseorang secara lebih singkat. Perlu adanya ketelitian dan pengalaman dalam penyusunan CV dan surat lamaran, karena dengan seiringnya perkembangan teknologi, perusahaan memakai teknologi AI untuk menyaring CV yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan perusahaan. Teknik penyusunan CV dengan menggunakan metode Applicant Tracking System (ATS) melibatkan beberapa langkah yang penting untuk meningkatkan kemungkinan CV Anda lolos seleksi dan dilihat oleh rekruter. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk melatih para lulusan Fresh Graduate untuk menyusun CV dengan baik menggunakan metode ATS. Hasil dari pelatihan sangat memuaskan karena siswa siswi mampu mengikuti materi yang disampaikan oleh narasumber, terbukti dari CV yang dibuat oleh siswa siswi ketika dinilai oleh tim review mendapatkan hasil yang baik dan sudah bisa dikatakan sebagai CV berbasis ATS sehingga layak untuk dipakai melamar pekerjaan. Abstract

Considering that Indonesian education has gone through such a long journey from 1922 to 2022 now, it is necessary to have an educational program that is able to meet the demands of workers' needs in this era of globalization. In the end, the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology designed an education policy system in the realm of higher education, namely "Freedom of Learning - Independent Campus", as an accurate strategy for optimizing academics in today's Indonesia. In this study, a survey was aimed at 40 undergraduate students of the Chemistry Study Program at Ma Chung University. Data analysis were made by quantitative approach of the nine questions succcessfully answered by students who filled out questionnaires in the online multiple choice questionnaire with a dependency test by nonparametric statistical methods. As a result, the majority of students of the Chemistry Study Program were quite enthusiastic about this new educational policy, although it was necessary to optimize all internal strategies of the study program curriculum, so that it could be in accordance with the activities designed in the "Freedom of Learning - Independent Campus" Program.

Abstract

Perkembangan permintaan konsumen akan zat warna mendorong berbagai industri menghasilkan varian zat pewarna. Hanya saja, informasi akan dampak penggunaan pewarna sintesis menekan penggunaan kembali pewarna natural. Antosianin menjadi salah satu zat warna alami yang layak untuk dimanfaatkan lebih lanjut, khususnya di bidang pangan. Kelopak Bunga Telang (Clitoria ternatea L.) adalah bahan yang telah diakui menjadi sumber penghasil zat warna antosianin secara alami. Ultrasound-Assisted Extraction dipromosikan sebagai prosedur ekstraksi terkini yang mampu mengatasi kelemahan metode ekstraksi konvensional. Penelitian ini telah berupaya mempelajari proses ekstraksi kelopak bunga telang hingga memperoleh ekstrak antosianin serta mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi proses ekstraksi dengan metode Ultrasound Assisted Extraction, hingga akhirnya dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai produk minuman. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh capaian optimum untuk ekstraksi zat warna dari kelopak bunga telang adalah pada kondisi F/S 0.02 g/ml, suhu ekstraksi 60°C, dan waktu ekstraksi 90 menit, dengan konsentrasi antosianin di dalam minuman yang didapatkan sebesar 19.57 mg/L.

Abstract

Dyes have played an important role in human life, therefore the production of dyes has continued to increase from the past until now. The use of synthetic chemical dyes has apparently caused various health and environmental problems, this is what has triggered the return to use of natural dyes. Through advances in science and technology, research related to the extraction of natural dyes in Indonesia was carried out until 31 scientific reports were found that studied this matter in the last ten years. Literature studies with secondary data have summarized the novelty of research related to the extraction of natural dyes from plants, where currently flower objects are of great interest for observational studies. Various types of flowers have potential pigments that can be converted into natural dyes. The maceration extraction method is still the choice for extracting plant bioactive substances. Recently a study on the extraction of dyes from fruit peel waste was also carried out. It is hoped that the development of information related to the extraction of natural dyes will have more opportunities to be applied in various aspects.

Abstract

Mulberry is one of the plants that grows well in Indonesia, and has been used to support daily economic activities. Mulberries are of interest to researchers as research objects, regarding the bioactivity of mulberry plants. Over the past decade, from 2013 to 2023, research has been carried out regarding mulberries in Indonesia, with the aim of extracting and analyzing the extract substances. Data from 12 local research journals is known regarding the use of mulberry roots, stems and leaves to be extracted and applied for compound identification purposes, a study of the extraction methods used, and the specific purpose of mulberry extract as a preservative, patch formulation material, as well as an antibacterial agent, preservative, and antioxidants. The mulberry extraction procedures used are the maceration method, wave-based extraction (microwave and ultrasonic) and water bath energy. Qualitative analysis testing of mulberry extract substances was carried out to determine the content of alkaloids, tannins and terpenoid compounds. Quantitative analysis testing of mulberry extract substances was carried out to measure antioxidant activity, anthocyanin levels, and the biological activity of mulberry extract substances.

Abstract

The abundance of flora in Indonesia is an advantage that Indonesia has, so it needs to be preserved to support the continuity of social life. Cemara udang is a conifer tree with a straight, sturdy trunk, with hanging branches and sharp green leaves which is also found in Indonesia, which borders the Indian Ocean. This species is conserved in Indonesia and is found in coastal areas, beaches and mangrove forests. Through this literature study, exploration of the empowerment of cemara udang plants is discussed. Cemara udang plants provide protection from potential adverse climates such as strong winds and soil protection. This plant also has medical benefits such as inflammation problems, digestive issues, and sore throats, and is anti-bacterial. This plant is known to have biactive compounds such as alkaloids, glycosides, saponins, flavonoids, tannins, steroids, phenolics and triterpenoids. This study also explores the potential for sustainability of cemara udang plants in Indonesia to make them more commercially efficient, as an advanced material whose potential has recently been discovered as nanoparticles for health, and as an adsorbent to overcome the problem of aquatic environments that contain a lot of residual dye.

Abstract

Abstrak Pada umunya pembuatan minyak kelapa dilakukan dengan cara basah dengan pemanasan yang tinggi, menyebabkan minyak yang dihasilkan bermutu kurang baik dan beaya yang besar. Pada penelitian ini digunakan metode enzimatis untuk memisahkan minyak dengan protein yang terdapat dalam sel-sel endosperm daging buah kelapa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menghasilkan asam lemak bebas sekecil-kecilnya, kadar air sekecil-kecilnya dan Yield yang sebesar-besarnya. Variabel dalam penelitian ini yaitu, lama fermentasi : 20 jam, 22 jam, 24 jam, 26 jam, 28 jam dan penambahan enzim proteolitik papain : 5,5%, 6,5%, 7,5%, 8,5%, 9,5%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah Kadar Asam Lemak Bebas Minyak Kelapa Terkecil 0,13%, Yield Minyak Kelapa Terbesar 36% dan Kadar Air Terkecil 0,12% diperoleh pada saat lama fermentasi 28 jam dan penambahan enzim papain sebesar 9,5%.
