Abstract

The objectives of this research were to 1) review the implementation of ISO 9001 management system with internal quality assurance system (SPMI) to support SPME BAN-PT and 2) develop ISO 9001 management system synchronization strategy with SPMI to support SPME BAN-PT. The method used in this research was analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The results show that SPMI and ISO 9001 are running separately. The causal variables include the work unit which has not figured out that the clause in ISO 9001 actually supports the clause of SPMI. Therefore, in implementing the process in accordance with ISO 9001, the target nature is standardization on SPMI. In compiling the ISO 9001 and SPMI system synchronization, a table of conformity between the SPMI and ISO 9001 clauses is established. In reference to the table of conformity, it can be seen that what has been done in the ISO 9001 clause can explain that its implementation supports the achievement of SPMI standard targets related to the corresponding clause. Referring to additional input from the experts on the priority of synchronization strategy of both quality management systems (SMM), it will support the implementation of SPME BAN-PT so that the accreditation achievement of leading study program and institution can be achieved efficiently and effectively.

Abstract

One of the main issues facing the Government in Malacca Strait is the security and safety issue, which threatens the users of sea transportation service and potentially interferes with the business operation. In fact, most of the international distribution lines pass through the Malacca Strait, making it the busiest strait in the world. On the other hand, the high cost of maintaining security and safety in the area burdens the government. Hence, this research aims to develop a strategy in handling the sea transportation system to achieve the equilibrium between economic efficiency and the government's effectiveness in maintaining the security and safety of the shipping traffic in Malacca Strait. This study is a problem solving-based research using Soft System Methodology. As a result, the integrated piloting strategy has been developed as a recommendation to be implemented. With this strategy, the ships that pass through the Malacca Strait are advised to adopt integrated piloting. The pilots and the security guards would be on board and safely and securely help the ship pass through the Malacca Strait. By that, safety and security would be guaranteed, and the business objectives would be achieved. Keywords: malacca strait, maritime study, sea transportation, soft system methodology

Abstract

Background: Efficient working capital management is critical for building construction companies. Inadequate management can lead to operational inefficiencies, elevated financial charges, and reduced profitability. The stability of the national economy can also influence corporate performance. Purpose: This study aims to analyze the impact of working capital management, financial charges, and macroeconomic factors on the profitability of building construction sub-sectors. Design/methodology/approach: This study utilizes quarterly financial report data from ten construction companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2015 to 2023. Macroeconomic data is obtained from the Badan Pusat Statistik and Bank Indonesia. The data is analyzed using descriptive statistics, comparative testing, and panel data regression. Findings/Results: Descriptive statistics indicate a fluctuating trend during the observation period, with days of sales outstanding dominating cash conversion cycle. Comparative tests reveal significant differences in working capital management, interest coverage ratio, and profitability before and during COVID-19. The panel data regression results indicate that days of inventory outstanding, days of payable outstanding, debt to equity ratio, working capital interest rates, construction GDP growth, and sales growth all have significant effects on profitability. Originality/value (State of the art): Thus, it can be concluded that the manager of building construction companies must give significant attention to the management of accounts payable and liabilities to enhance profitability. Abstract

The importance of the role of farmers in the agribusiness system is not directly proportional to the welfare of the farmers themselves, this is because the bargaining power of farmers in the system is very low. If we look at the high capacity of rice production in Sambas Regency, it is hoped that it can be maximized by the implementation of agricultural digitization in this district, as well as being an example for the application of agricultural digitization in other districts. This study aims to to identify existing conditions that occur in agriculture in the Sambas Regency area, then analyze farmers' perceptions of agricultural digitization, and formulate a model for developing agricultural digitization to support farmers' self-reliance in Sambas. The scope of this research is only farmers in Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan as a contributor to 20% of food production, especially rice in West Kalimantan Province. This research includes causality research (cause and effect). The method used in this study is the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method and the analysis of the development of agricultural digitization models through the synthesis of SEM analysis and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) in order to advance the analysis. The results of the study describe farmers' perceptions, farmer characteristics, and the role of assistants farming has a significant influence on agricultural digitization, but for farmers' perceptions the effect is negative. Abstract

The development of Peer-to-Peer Lending (P2PL) fintech in Indonesia was growing fast. In the midst of this rapid growth, a volatile pattern shows the dynamics of the P2PL in terms of its performance. This study aims to map the performance of fintech P2PL. The data used are the total disbursement of loans and non-performing loans obtained from each company's website and aggregate data published by the Financial Services Authority (OJK). In this study, a website scraping from 102 fintech companies was obtained from each platform to obtain Non-Performing Loan (NPL) value and accumulated loan distribution. This study also uses the hierarchical clustering method to group each P2PL based on NPL and accumulated loan disbursement. Based on the hierarchical clustering analysis, three clusters distinguish the characteristics of grouping P2PL companies. In first cluster, there are 3 companies with high distribution and low NPL, while in the second cluster consists of 13 companies categorized as poor performance because they related to the low disbursement and high NPL value. In the third cluster there are 71 companies with moderate disbursement and NPL. Based on this mapping several things need to be improved, starting from developing a risk management and monitoring system, lending and operating supervision. Keywords: Fintech, peer to peer lending, clustering, hierarchical clustering, NPL
