Abstract

The right time to eat for athletes is suggested to support achievement. However, research evidence on this matter still needs to be more extensive. This study aims to reveal evidence of differences in pulse after exercise by looking at the pause after eating. A one-shot case study experiment was conducted with 22 student samples divided into three groups. The first group of 7 people exercised immediately after eating (A), the second group of 8 people 1 hour after eating (B), and group 3 2 hours after eating (C). Pulse testing is carried out before exercising (basketball man to man half court) for 10 minutes, and then the pulse is measured after playing; further measurements are carried out every 3 minutes up to 4 times and 1 hour after stopping playing. The rest is done passively. The instruments used are tests and measurements of the pulse. Data analysis used is descriptive statistics and different tests using ANOVA. The results showed that, in this case, group A and Group C had the same pulse rate of 65 per minute, while Group B had an average of 77.5 per minute. Pulse after exercising consecutively 1130.29, 128, and 128.9 per minute. At the end of measuring the pulse after 1 hour of rest, it turned out that group C had the lowest pulse compared to groups A and B. Keywords: Recovery, Food before sport, pulse

Abstract

Good performance can be produced from a structured, systematic, and continuous training pattern. However, a lack of calorie intake during exercise will worsen the athlete's performance. Adequate and appropriate calorie intake can help athletes perform well. Eating habits will greatly affect the availability of calories in athletes. This literature review aims to describe the effects of caloric intake and eating habits of athletes from various literature. Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) is the approach employed. The database is taken from Scopus, Science Direct, Web of Science (WOS), and Pubmed. 16 articles were analyzed through purpose, topic suitability, sample, research protocol, results, and discussion. The results of this literature review explain that athletes tend to experience less calorie intake caused by poor eating habits. Low knowledge of nutrition makes athletes practice wrong eating/dieting arrangements by relying on supplement intake to improve performance.

Abstract

Basic movement is an ability that physical education teachers must serve carefully. Providing opportunities to practice movement skills is the main key. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of learning the traditional game of kasti on the basic abilities of lower grade elementary school students. The study was conducted with a True-experimental randomized pre-test post-test design. Participants consisted of 25 low-grade elementary school students. The treatment was carried out for 16 meetings. Basic movement ability is carried out by conducting tests and measurements of the ability to throw a target, throw a catch, hit a ball, and a 50m run test. Data were analyzed using the T-test. The results of the analysis show a significant level of 0.494. This means that learning the traditional game of kasti has no significant effect on basic skills. The conclusion that can be drawn from this research is that it is necessary to modify the learning process so that the objectives can be achieved.

Abstract

A condition known as dehydration occurs when the body lacks fluid and experiences problems with its metabolic functions. The study provides the impact of dehydration on running 5 laps at GOR SSA PONTIANAK by comparing weight loss before and after running. The research method was experimental, with a sample of 16 students.   Performed with the measurement procedure of the 5 lap running test, and body weight before and after running. The results showed there was a decrease in body weight with an average decrease of 0.78 grams, this figure is equivalent to approximately 5% of fluid levels in the body assuming fluid in the body is 60%-70% of body weight. Weight loss of up to 2% is statistically insignificant, but physiologically this is the recommended limit of weight loss in one exercise.

Abstract

This research is an experimental descriptive research. The research was conducted with the aim of obtaining data on pulse rate differences in the 2nd set. This study uses a sample of active students of the Department of Sports Coaching Education, class of 2021 totaling 9 people. The results showed that the sample tried to run 400 x 3 with as many as 2 attempts. The data was analyzed by descriptive and differential tests. The results of the study proved that the difference in the pulse rate of the first set was 157.33 beats per minute while the pulse rate of the second set was 166 beats per minute. It can be seen that the difference between the first and second set pulse rates is higher than the second set pulse rate. The lowest minimum score is the first set pulse rate of 132, while the second set pulse rate is 138. So that the data from the first and second sets of pulse rate difference test results are different. The conclusion in this study is the difference between the first set of pulse < the second pulse. (166.00 < 157.33) the pulse of the first set and the pulse of the second set.
