Abstract

In essence, technology has become an inseparable part of children's lives today. However, inappropriate use of technology can impact their development. The technology that exists today has a big influence on the progress of a nation and for this reason the role of parents and educators must be to be able to encourage and provide control and supervision to children so that they do not become addicted to technology. because technology can expand knowledge through the internet and digital devices, increase creativity to be creative in developing skills and can facilitate learning. However, current technology can also have negative impacts, such as children becoming dependent and spending time in front of screens, social interactions and even children having more fun in front of the screen than playing in the surrounding environment. In today's sophisticated era, being free from gadgets is difficult. Because gadgets are a major need for children and parents, because they can be used to communicate and carry out other needs. The aim of this research is to describe or describe in full the impact of gadget use on the social behavior of young children. The method used in this research is a qualitative method that will allow us to explore and analyze more complex problems, understand the perspectives of various stakeholders, and gain a deeper understanding of the context of the influence of devices on a child. The research hopes that the results obtained can be used as a benchmark for parents and teachers in controlling children's use of technology.

Abstract

Children with special needs often face complex challenges beyond their primary disability. These challenges can significantly impact their overall well-being and academic performance. This study aimed to assess the provision of guidance and counseling services for ABK in inclusive primary schools in Surakarta, Indonesia. A survey involving 10 inclusive primary schools was conducted, utilizing questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with teachers and parents. Data analysis employed descriptive analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data. The findings indicate that while most inclusive primary schools in Surakarta offer guidance and counseling services, these services are often limited by factors such as a lack of specialized personnel, inadequate infrastructure, and insufficient time allocation. Additionally, the integration of guidance and counseling services into classroom activities can be challenging due to diverse student needs. To enhance the effectiveness of guidance and counseling services for ABK, it is crucial to provide adequate training for teachers, allocate dedicated time and space for these services, and foster strong collaboration between schools, families, and community organizations.

Abstract

The sustainable management of marine ecosystems and fishery resources is a primary goal of the SDGs (Goal 14). Supporting this objective requires the availability of a cold chain network, including ice factories, to preserve the quality and freshness of fish catches. In the southern coastal area of Sukabumi, particularly Ciwaru Village within the Ciletuh National Geopark, the availability of ice factories remains insufficient. Small fishing vessels (<5 GT) in this area require approximately 6 tons of ice per month. This study aims to design the production capacity of a portable mini ice factory to meet the local ice demand. By considering seasonal patterns, fishing volumes, and fluctuating ice needs, the factory is designed to produce around 788–798 tons of ice per year, with an ice storage capacity of 2 tons. The design utilizes 12 kg ice blocks, adjusted to the vessel sizes commonly used by local fishermen employing one-day fishing methods. The planning results indicate that the establishment of this mini ice factory can address the ice supply shortage in Ciwaru, support the maintenance of fish quality, and enhance the economic value of fishermen’s catches.

Abstract

Empty oil palm bunches processed by palm oil mills in Indonesia are still abundant, reaching 56.35 million tons per year. Empty oil palm bunches contain around 40% cellulose, so they can still be used for various derivative products, one of which is composite products. The use of empty oil palm bunches as raw materials for Bioplastic production is a series of ongoing research, one of which is starch-cellulose blend, but until now it has not been successfully commercialized. The design of the starch cellulose blend bioplastic industry using palm oil as raw material produces two factories, namely a cellulose factory and a composite bioplastic factory. Both factories are designed in separate buildings. The separation of cellulose from TKKS uses a chemical method with soda, after mechanical treatment of size reduction. The industry is designed in 3 scales of production capacity, namely a large scale of 190,000 tons / year, medium 115.00 tons / year, and small 40,000 tons.year. The financial analysis of the three scales of production capacity as a whole is declared feasible. Profit margin is calculated at a minimum of 17.6%. The average payback period is between 3-5 years with an IRR of 24-49%. Analysis of the economic value produces an EScale index of 0.64 which indicates that the economic scale has been achieved. The economic scale of the starch cellulose blend bioplastic industry from TKKS is at a production capacity of 40,000 tons per year with a minimum supply of TKKS raw materials of 20,203 tons/year. At the smallest economic scale, the BEP is actually only 6627.4 tons/year, where this condition can be achieved because the industry has relatively small fixed costs.

Abstract

Post-harvest handling of fish requires an effective cold chain system, including the availability of ice factories, to preserve the quality and freshness of catches. The presence of an ice factory enables fishermen to bring ice during fishing trips, ensuring the catch remains safe for consumption. The planning of a portable mini ice factory in Ciwaru Village, located within the Ciletuh National Geopark, aims to maintain fish quality along the southern coast of West Java. Although several ice factories exist in Sukabumi Regency, their availability at fish landing sites such as the Ciwaru Fish Auction Place (TPI) remains insufficient. According to the Regulation of the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries No. 2 of 2021, assistance for ice factory construction is provided to fishermen groups following a feasibility study submission. This community service project aims to assist fishermen cooperatives in improving cold chain management and preparing a feasibility study for ice factory development. Key issues identified include limited human resource competence, hygiene and sanitation challenges, feasibility study preparation, and internal communication enhancement within cooperatives. Solutions are implemented through training programs, cold chain method applications, feasibility analysis for mini ice factories, and the development of an information system for fishermen. The planned ice factory unit has a capacity of 1 ton per 8-hour cycle, supported by three freshwater wells near the site. Economic analysis reveals an NPV of Rp1,170,676,141, an IRR of 10.91%, and a Net B/C Ratio of 1.64, with a BEP at 311 tons/year, well below the installed capacity of 788 tons/year, confirming its economic viability. The resulting feasibility study will serve as the basis for applying for government assistance, complemented by scientific publications, national media coverage, video documentation, and intellectual property registration.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the life lessons of The Doctor Valentino Rossi, in order to create a spirit of life-giving impressions of Islamic education, by analyzing them to provide a better understanding of the theme and to suggest emerging directions for future research. The writing is character research, with a descriptive qualitative setting. The results of the research show that Valentino Rossi's life journey in achieving various achievements cannot be separated from a strong life mindset by compromising between the realities of life and spiritual practice. This fact in the domain of Islamic education is a form of integrating knowledge organically, comprehensively and holistically. This can be used as an impression for Islamic education. Research implications: the need for improvised research to narrow the dichotomy of science and life reality. The study suggests multidisciplinary research as a starting point for the development of Islamic education.
