Abstract

Germplasm diversity is a valuable source of genetic material whose existence needs to be protected and preserved. One of the original Indonesian goat germplasms is Senduro goat, which has been established by the Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture Republic of Indonesia No. 1055/Kpts/ SR.120/10/2014 and originates from Senduro District, Lumajang Regency, East Java. The purpose of the study was to analyze the phenotypic traits of Senduro goats based on their quantitative traits. Phenotype observations include body length, chest circumference, shoulder height, ear length, and rewos hair length and correlate each phenotype trait. The materials used in this study were 14 and 25 head of adult male and female Senduro goats, respectively. Senduro goats that were observed in the condition of incisor the thirdth (I3 ) were replaced by permanent teeth, it mean the Senduro goats aged 2-4 years. The morphometric data obtained were calculated as mean, standard deviation, and correlation between morphometric measures using the Genstat 14.2 program and then analyzed descriptively. The results of this study showed that Senduro goats had a body weight of 24.56 ± 5.48 kg (male) and 26.84 ± 6.50 kg (female), a body length of 63.89 ± 4.76 cm (male) and 63.32 ± 6.29 cm (female), a chest circumference of 61.67 ± 4.36 kg (male) and 66, 48 ± 6.56 cm (female), a shoulder height of 66.33 ± 4.53 cm (male) and 64.71 ± 5.76 cm (female), ear length of 31.22 ± 2.17 cm (male) and 28.13 ± 2.74 cm (female), and length of rewos/surai hair of 17.56 ± 1.67 cm (male) and 14.58 ± 2.39 cm (female) Morphometric measures in Senduro goats are positively correlated with each other. There is a highly significant correlation between chest circumference, body length, and height and body weight in Senduro goats.

Abstract

Diiti cattle or Gorontalo local cattle were cattle that have the same exterior characteristics like Bali and PO cattle. To provide information regarding the unknown state of Diiti cattle, allele diversity was evaluated using ILSTS017, HEL13 and BM1818 microsatellite loci. A total of 117 Diti cattle from Gorontalo, Bonebolango and North Gorontalo were used in this study. Allele diversity analysis was generated using Cervus 3.0.7 version. All microsatellite loci were found to be highly polymorphic in the population. A total of 26 alleles were observed, which ranged from 6 in HEL13 and to 11 in ILSTS017. The mean of total alleles was found 6.667. The expected heterozygosity and observed heterozygosity values were 0.686, 0.610, 0.818 and 0.512, 0.351, 0.721 in ILSTS017, HEL13 and BM1818, respectively. Polymorphism Information Content (PIC) values were 0.540 for HEL13, 0.645 for ILSTS017 and 0.791 for BM1818. The result of this study would be used as basic information for development of unknown state of Diiti cattle as Gorontalo valuable genetic resources.

Abstract

Student engagement in the learning process is significantly influenced by the strategies implemented by teachers. Students' learning activities not only reflect their understanding of the material but also indicate their motivation and interest, which are shaped by a supportive learning environment. One instructional model that can foster active learning is the Differentiated Instruction model. The purpose of this study is to describe the steps, strengths, and weaknesses of implementing the Differentiated Instruction model in Islamic Education (PAI) learning at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Rembang, Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 4 Klaten and Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Sukoharjo. This research employs a qualitative approach. The research subjects are teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Rembang, Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 4 Klaten and Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Sukoharjo, with Islamic Education teachers serving as the informants. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings of this study are: (1) The steps of the Differentiated Instruction model include identifying student needs, grouping students, designing flexible learning activities, utilizing technology, employing diverse assessments, and evaluating understanding and internalization of values through questioning or assignments; (2) The advantages of the Differentiated Instruction model include enhanced material comprehension, appreciation of student diversity, avoidance of labeling students as weak or smart, and increased motivation and interest in learning; (3) The weaknesses of the Differentiated Instruction model involve time and resource limitations, teacher readiness, and limited facilities. The conclusion of this study is that the Differentiated Instruction model can be applied in the learning process as an effort to improve student engagement during the learning process at the Madrasah level.
