Abstract

The rapid growth of the digital economy has transformed consumer behavior, especially in adopting financial technologies such as e-wallets. This study examines the influence of perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and perceived risk on actual e-wallet usage through behavioral intention among students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Mulawarman University. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is employed as the theoretical foundation, integrating perceived risk as an external variable to explain behavioral variations. A quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM–PLS) with SmartPLS 4 was applied. The sample consisted of 100 respondents, determined through Slovin’s formula with a 10% margin of error. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale. The results show that perceived ease of use (t = 4.744; p = 0.000) and perceived usefulness (t = 3.392; p = 0.001) significantly and positively affect behavioral intention, while perceived risk (t = 1.915; p = 0.056) has a negative but insignificant effect. Behavioral intention significantly affects actual use (t = 5.187; p = 0.000), confirming its mediating role. However, the direct effects of ease, usefulness, and risk on actual use are insignificant. The study reaffirms TAM’s relevance and suggests including moderating factors such as trust or digital literacy. Practically, e-wallet providers should improve usability, clarify benefits, and strengthen security to encourage continued use.

Abstract

Ecobrick management as an alternative to reduce the volume of plastic waste in Kersik Village. This research aims to explore the potential for using Ecobricks as an innovative solution in reducing the volume of plastic waste in Kersik Village. The PAR (Participatory Action Research) method uses the 5T approach (To Know, To Understand, To Plan, To Action, To Reflection). This approach is not only used to understand problems in society, but also to plan, act and reflect on the actions taken. It is hoped that the results of this research can contribute to further understanding of environmental sustainability at the local level, while providing a practical view regarding the application of Ecobricks as a sustainable strategy to reduce the negative impact of plastic waste on the Kersik Village community.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of product innovation, price, and brand ambassador on the purchase decision of Scarlett Whitening in Sangasanga District. Using a quantitative approach with a descriptive method and purposive sampling technique, data were collected from 100 respondents who are active users of Scarlett Whitening products. The results of multiple linear regression analysis indicate that the three independent variables product innovation, price, and brand ambassador have a significant simultaneous effect on purchase decisions with brand ambassador being the most dominant variable. The coefficient of determination, which stands at 50.5%, reflects a fairly strong predictive power of the model. These findings confirm that purchase decisions in the beauty industry are influenced not only by functional aspects such as product quality and pricing, but also by emotional and symbolic factors associated with brand ambassadors. Theoretically, this research reinforces concepts within marketing mix theory and consumer behavior, particularly the role of symbolic communication in shaping buying intentions. Practically, local cosmetic companies are advised to develop continuous product innovations, apply competitive yet value-aligned pricing strategies, and select brand ambassadors with high credibility and strong social resonance among their target market, especially young consumers influenced by popular cultural trends such as the Korean Wave.

Abstract

The development of digital technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), has driven transformation in the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) sector, particularly in supporting more effective, data-driven business decision-making. This study aims to analyze user perceptions of the use of AI in business decision-making among MSMEs in Samarinda City. The method used was a qualitative approach, with data collection through in-depth interviews with three MSME informants selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that MSMEs' perceptions of AI tend to be positive, although levels of understanding vary. AI is considered beneficial in increasing efficiency, marketing effectiveness, and decision- making accuracy. However, several barriers exist, such as limited digital literacy, cost, and lack of technical understanding, requiring support to optimize its utilization.
