The study aims to describe the violations by the students of the 2014 initiation at UMS and identify their solutions by the activity coordinators and line coordinators. The primary data included the verbal abuse by the coordinators, committees, and students? responses to the 2014 Academic Program Activity of Teacher and Training Education Faculty - UMS. The secondary data included the non-verbal (physical) abuse obtained from observation and interview. The data were collected through observation, inter-view and written documentation which include the results of the verbal and non-verbal strictness observation, summary of the initiation program and its regulation, and photos. The data validity used was data and data source triangulation. The data were analyzed using case study technique. The results of the study showed that there were some violations by the students during the initiation program as follows: (1) smoking a cigarette, (2) wearing a short skirt for the female, (3) wearing a transparent and tight cloth for the female, (4) not wearing a complete attribute, (5) speaking unethically or using four lette-words, (6) having a long hair beyond the ears, and (7) coming late. The solutions to the violations seemed that the line coordinators tended to permit them and they did not give any punishment so that the students kept on behaving badly. Some students thought that the team of the line coordinators were linient, particularly in giving punishment to the students who violated the regulations of the initiation program.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter pada ungkapan hikmah di sekolah dasar se-karesidenan Surakarta. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kata, frasa, dan kalimat yang terdapat pada ungkapan hikmah di sekolah dasar se-karesidenan Surakarta. Adapun sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu ungkapan hikmah yang ditempatkan di sekolah dasar se-karesidenan Surakarta. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan teknik dokumentasi. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan analisis isi (content analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter pada ungkapan hikmah yang ditempatkan di sekolah dasar se-karesidenan Surakarta meliputi religius, jujur, toleransi, disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, mandiri, demokratis, rasa ingin tahu, semangat kebangsaan, cinta tanah air, menghargai prestasi, bersahabat/komunikatif, cinta damai, gemar membaca, peduli lingkungan, peduli sosial, dan tanggung jawab. Ungkapan hikmah yang ada sangat relevan ditempatkan di sekolah dasar. Hal ini bertujuan agar peserta didik memiliki kemampuan akademik dan akhlak karimah.Kata Kunci: ungkapan hikmah, nilai karakter, sekolah dasarCHARACTER EDUCATION VALUE IN THE EXPRESSION OF HIKMAH IN THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN THE RESIDENCY OF SURAKARTA Abstract:This research aims to describe the values of character education in the expression of hikmah (wisdom) in elementary schools in the residency of Surakarta. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data in this research in the form of words, phrases and sentences contained in the expression of hikmah in elementary schools in the residency of Surakarta. The source of the data in this research is the expression of hikmah placed in elementary schools in the residency of Surakarta. Research data collection used documentation techniques. Analysis of research data used content analysis. The results of the research showed the values of character education in the expression of hikmah placed in elementary schools in the residency of Surakarta include religious, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, national spirit, love of the motherland, respect for achievement, friendly/communicative, peace-loving, fond of reading, caring for the environment, caring socially, and being responsible. The expressions of hikmah are very relevant placed in elementary schools. It is intended that students have academic ability and nobel character.Keywords: expressions of hikmah, character values, elementary school

Social media are online features to get information and to express the positive and negative response for warganet. The case of the Election of Miss Indonesia 2020 is the form of rejection and defense responses. This study aims to describe the variatios of negative and positive sense warganet response in the Election of Miss Indonesia 2020 which mispronounced Pancasila. There are two variation of data: First, 53 forms of negative warganet responses. Second, 45 forms of positive responses. Data sources are 98 warganet responses on instagram. Â Data were collected through reading and taking note. Theoretical triangulation is used to validate the data. Â The analysis method uses distributional and referential identity and pragmatics. The results show the form of rejection and defense responses. First, negative sense responses as warganetâ€™s rejection. Second, positive sense responses as warganetâ€™s defense.

Wacana jurnalisme warga sebagai salah satu rubrik pengisi media massa cetak, dalam penelitian ini harian Solopos. Rumusan masalah (a) elemen berita apa sajakah yang mengisi wacana berita jurnalisme warga, (b) bagaimanakah setiap elemen berita disajikan dalam wacana berita jurnalisme warga, dan (c) bagaimanakah kelengkapan elemen berita dalam wacana jurnalisme warga. Penelitian ini bertujuan pertama, mengidentifikasi elemen-elemen berita dalam wacana jurnalisme warga. Kedua, mendeskripsikan elemen-elemen berita yang mengisi wacana jurnalisme warga. Ketiga, menetapkan wacana jurnalisme warga dari perspektif kelengkapan elemen-elemen berita. Objek penelitian elemen-elemen pengisi wacana berita jurnalisme warga. Sumber data penelitian berupa sumber bahasa tulis yaitu wacana berita jurnalisme warga pada harian Solopos terbit tahun 2018-2019. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode simak dengan teknik catat sebagai teknik lanjutannya. Analisis data menggunakan metode agih dengan teknik bagi unsur langsung dan metode padan referensial. Hasil penelitian (a) wacana jurnalisme warga sebanyak 50 wacana mengandung elemen 5W+1H sebanyak 20 wacana. Elemen apa dikandung sebanyak 50 wacana. Elemen siapa dikandung sebanyak 50 wancana. Elemen kapan dikandung sebanyak 50 wacana. Elemen di mana sebanyak 42 wacana Elemen mengapa sebanyak 31 wacana. Sedangkan elemen bagaimana sebanyak 38 wacana. (b) Elemen apa mengenai aktivitas di bidang persekolahan atau pendidikan. Elemen Siapa mengenai institusi pendidikan (sekolah). Elemen kapan mengenai setelah peristiwa itu terjadi, tidak sehari setelah peritiwa. Elemen di mana mengenai tempat terjadinya peristiwaÂ di sekolahan/kampus, masjid, panti, pondok, tempat wisata, (c) wacana jurnalisme warga yang memiliki elemen lengkap sebanyak 20 wacana. The Covid-19 pandemic has changed all lines of life, especially human hosts on talk shows and artists on electronic cinema are obliged to wear masks during the broadcast. The use of masks as an implementation of Prokes is accordance with KPI regulation to prevent the infection of Covid-19. The formulation of the research problem to describe how is the representation of social groups in responding to Deddy Corbuzier's post? The purpose of this research is to find the representation of social groups in responding to Deddy Corbuzier's post. The research design is in a qualitative with a descriptive approach. The research data are netizens expressions that come from Deddy Corbuzier's account. The data collection technique used was the observation and note-taking techniques. Data analysis uses critical discourse analysis and Representation with discursive constructs. The results show the representation of social groups that supported Deddy Corbuzier, as for the social groups: (1) verified accounts from the public figures (2) social groups of workers who presented complaints related to Prokes, and (3) unidentified groups represented variations such as KPI and electronic cinema. This offense is done by means of blasphemy, criticism, evaluation, and suggestions. The information representation of groups one and two are clear, while group three variegated cause conflict.

The phrase Wisdom that can be abbreviated (UH) is a summary that is pasted on the walls of the elementary school. The presence of language in UH is interesting to study and the results can be used in the field of education. This study has a goal, namely (1) to determine the form of expression of wisdom in SD Se-Residency Surakarta, (2) to find the values of character education that exist in the expression of wisdom. The type of research used is qualitative by using descriptive methods in describing the data found. The data in this study is UH which contains the value of character education. While the data sources used are sentences in UH on the walls of elementary schools in the Surakarta Residency area (Surakarta, Karanganyar, Sragen, Boyolali, Klaten, and Wonogiri). Data collection techniques used are observation, documentation, and note-taking techniques. The data analysis used were FGD, the distribution method with the Indirect Sharing (BUL) technique, and the matching technique with referential advanced techniques. For data validation used theory triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the UH at SD Se-Residency Surakarata contains 18 values of character education (religious, honest, democratic, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, likes to read, cares about the environment, social care, curiosity). , love for the homeland, responsibility, national spirit, respect for achievement, friendly/communicative, and love peace)..

Abstrak : Artikel bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kebahasaan wujud respon positif anggota grup WhatsApp fashion online. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data berupa ungkapan yang mengandung respon positif sebanyak 10 tanggapan. Data tersebut bersumber dari ungkapan anggota grup WhatsApp fashion online “Dasterinn”. Objek penelitian berupa wujud bahasa. Teknik pengumpulan data yakni observasi (wawancara) dan dokumentasi (catat). Teknik validitas yang digunakan ialah triangulasi. Triangulasi teori yang dipilih yaitu teori komunikasi antarpribadi interaksi simbolik menurut Herbert Blumer (1969) yaitu (1) adanya tindakan berdasarkan makna yang diberikan, (2) makna dalam interaksi, dan (3) makna melalui proses interaksi. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa kebahasaan wujud respon positif anggota grup WhatsApp fashion online disampaikan melalui ciri satuan penanda lingual yang di dalamnya terdapat modalitas intensional, kata ganti, kata kerja, dan leksikal serta, memiliki hubungan dengan tanggapan persetujuan yang dibagi menjadi dua makna yaitu makna tersurat (‘mau’ dan ‘mau’ + ‘tambah’) dan makna tersirat (‘mau’ + ‘keep’, ‘ambil’, dan ‘pesan’). Kata kunci: bahasa; respon positif; grup WhatsApp.

PENGKREASIAN STIKER VULGAR SEBAGAI TINDAKAN BERMORAL Agus Budi Wahyudi

Tujuan penelitian ini (a) penyajian stiker vulgar dan (b) teknik pengkreasian stiker vulgar sebagai tindakan bermoral. Pengkreasian stiker vulgar menjadi stiker bijak yang bermuatan mendidik menjadi tanggung jawab moral si penulis stiker, guru di sekolah, dan masyarakat. Hal ini sebagai wujud tindakan bermoral yang tidak berpotensi pembiaran tetapi berpotensi penanganan yang nyata terhadap kondisi psikososial anak didik di masyarakat. Stiker digunakan anak didik SMA dan dipasang/ditempel di helm dan sepeda motor. Penelitian ini penelitian kualitatif. Kualitatif deskriptif jenis data berupa kata-kata, frasa, kalimat yang terdapat dalam stiker. Peneliti pengkreasian stiker vulgar dengan melaksanakan olah makna, baik dari aspek semantis maupuan pragmatis. Objek penelitan ini berupa kata atau ungkapan berkonotasi negatif atau vulgar yang digunakan anak didi SMA Muhammadiyah di Surakarta. Data primer berupa satuan lingual stiker vulgar dan data sekunder hasil wawancaraData Teknik observasi di SMA Muhammadiyah se-Surakarta dan wawancara dengan anak didik, kepala sekolah, wakasek bidang kesiswaan, guru bimbingan konseling, petugas parkir, dan masyarakat. Teknik dokumentasi berupa penggalian stiker yang terjual ke anak didik SMA. Keabsahan data kualitatif menggunakan teknik triangulasi yaitu triangulasi sumber. Teknik analisis menggunakan metode padan. Metode padan yang pragmatis dengan alat penentu referen yaitu berupa mitra wicara. Selain metode tersebut dignakan teknik Focus Group Descoussin (FGD). Hasil penelitian stiker yang digunakan berupa stiker tidak vulgar dan stiker vulgar. Stiker vulgar digunakan anak didi SMA Muhammadiyah se-Surakarta berpotensi mempengaruhi moral anak didik. Stiker vulgar tersebut dapat dikreasikan menjadi stiker bijak. Stiker bijak inilah yang disosialisasikan sehingga menjadi tandingan stiker vulgar. Kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, guru, guru bimbingan konseling, dan masyarakat menjadi pihak yang terlibat dalam penyosialisasian stiker bijak (hasil pengkreasian stiker vulgar) ini.

The objectives of the current study are to describe: (1) types of figurative speech used in “opinion Rubric” in Solopos newspaper; (2) the compatibility of this figurative speech with the standard competence and the basic competence of Indonesian Language curriculum; and (3) the pedagogical implication of the findings in teaching and learning figure of speech. The object of study is figure of speech used “Opinion Rubric” of Solopos newspaper. Data collection technique used is documentation and data analysis tech nique used is “padan subjenis referensial” method. The results are as follows: (1) there are nine types of figurative speech, namely: repetition, equations or simile, hyperbole, metaphor, personification, irony, sarcasm, and synesthesia. The most dominant one is personification; (2) the figurative speech used in this newspaper is compatible with the competence standard and basic competence in Indonesian language curriculum; (3) the students’ achievement improve as shown in the increasing score from 62 to 76.

This study aims at (1) identifying the lingual form of disfemism in Joko Widodo's Facebook account; (2) describing the addressing form containing sarcasm in Joko Widodo's official Facebook account; and (3) identifying the sarcasm expression used by the operator and the uploader of the account. The object of this study is polite expressions. Linguistic unit of the expressions can be in the form of word, phrase, clause, and sentence. The data of this present study are sentence or sentences in Jokowi's official Facebook account that contains positive connotation words. The data contexts of this research are discourse containing positive connotation sentences, the topic of discourse written by people in Jokowi's account, the identity of the participant, and the context of extra-lingual that is based on the importance of the operator of the president's social media account. The data collection was conducted through documentation technique. The data in Jokowi's official account were copy-pasted. Then, the data were being read intensively to note the positive connotation utterance. The data analysis was conducted through referential (identity) method, pragmatic (identity) method, translational (identity) method, and articulatory phonetic (identity) method. The referential (identity) method was used to identify the topics that were stated by the uploader of the account. The pragmatic (identity) method was used to identify the background of (profession, organization etc) that appeared in their writings. The translational (identity) method was used in describing the origination of the language they use. It is possible that through the use of this method, this study finds the register on that account. Finally, the phonetic (identity) method was used to identify the utterance characteristic they stated. The positive or negative emotion of the speaker, usually, marked by the special pronunciation. To establish the data analysis, this study uses distributional method: substitution technique and paraphrase technique. Based on the data analysis, this study shows several results. First, the euphemism utterance in Jokowi's official Facebook account using any levels, i.e. word, phrase, clause, and sentence. Through those levels, the writer presents suggestions and critics to the owner of the account Joko Widodo. Second, the functions that are stated through that account are expression device, communication relationship to the leader, integration device, and self-control device. Third, the topics stated by the people in that account are about the depiction of Joko Widodo that in their opinion, Joko Widodo shows pretending, the existence of Megawati in the election of Joko Widodo as a president, the increasing of IDR currency and other things at the beginning of his leadership. The expression shows hatred towards the elected president. Furthermore, they also express about Jokowi's unability to establish the IDR currency and his leadership is judged as not good. In addition, to the people, especially netizen are invited to disbelieve to his leadership.
