Abstract

This study aims to enhance students' learning activities and outcomes through the implementation of the Wordwall assisted Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in the Ecosystem topic for Phase E at SMA N 1 Nan Sabaris. The research was conducted at SMAN 1 Nan Sabaris in class X.E.5 during the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, with 36 students as subjects. This study is a classroom action research consisting of two cycles, each comprising two sessions. Each cycle follows four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection, using the Wordwall-assisted Problem-Based Learning model. Data on students' learning activities and outcomes were collected based on observation sheets of learning activities and student learning outcome tests. The application of the Wordwall-assisted Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model proved effective in improving students' learning activities and outcomes in the Ecosystem topic. This success was demonstrated by increased participation and enthusiasm among students during the learning process. Learning outcomes improved by 45%. This increase indicates that the corrective measures taken, such as adding instructional videos and modifying Wordwall games, successfully enhanced students' understanding and mastery of the material.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Transformational Leadership, Compensation, and Organizational Commitment on Turnover Intention, mediated by Job Satisfaction among employees at PT XYZ. The research method used was a quantitative survey approach using a questionnaire distributed to the entire population of 167 employees. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the aid of SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results showed that Transformational Leadership and Compensation had a positive effect on Job Satisfaction and a negative effect on Turnover Intention. Furthermore, Job Satisfaction also had a negative effect on Turnover Intention. The conclusion of this study is that the research model used is able to explain the relationship between the independent variables and Turnover Intention and demonstrates that Transformational Leadership and Compensation play a significant role in increasing Job Satisfaction and reducing employee intentions to leave the company.   Keywords: Transformational Leadership, Compensation, Job Satisfaction, Turnover Intention

Abstract

This study examines the influence of professional identity and resilience on employees' intentions to leave their jobs, focusing specifically on employees at PT XYZ, an early-stage startup. Job satisfaction, work engagement, and burnout serve as hypothesized mediating variables, playing a crucial role in determining the relationship between professional identity, resilience, and turnover intention. The aim of this research is to explore how each of these psychological constructs impacts turnover intention, particularly within a startup context where employee retention poses a significant challenge. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through structured questionnaires completed by PT XYZ employees. The analysis results show that professional identity and resilience significantly contribute to increased job satisfaction and work engagement, as well as decreased burnout levels, which subsequently lower employees' turnover intentions. These findings offer practical implications for startup management in retaining employees, including strengthening professional identity, fostering resilience through targeted training, and providing equitable compensation. These recommendations are expected to help startups enhance employee retention, as workforce sustainability remains a critical factor for growth during the early stages of a company’s development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategic responses of Bank Jago, a leading digital bank in Indonesia, to the evolving competitive landscape shaped by fintech innovation and regulatory dynamics. Employing a qualitative case study approach, this research draws on Bank Jago’s annual reports, industry analyses, and news sources, applying PESTEL, Porter’s Five Forces, SWOT, SPACE matrix, and Strategic Sustainability frameworks to comprehensively evaluate the bank’s external environment, competitive position, internal capabilities, and competitive differentiation through sustainability. The findings indicate that Bank Jago benefits from supportive government policies, rapid technological advancements, and a growing urban, tech-savvy customer base, while facing challenges such as stringent regulatory requirements, rising competition from regional fintech firms, and economic volatility. Strategic partnerships, particularly with fintech platforms like Gojek, and innovative digital banking services such as the ‘Pockets’ feature, have strengthened Bank Jago’s market position. The SPACE matrix analysis suggests an aggressive strategic posture, emphasizing growth and innovation to capitalize on market opportunities. The study concludes that Bank Jago’s adaptive strategies, focused on digital transformation, customer-centric innovation, regulatory compliance, and environmental sustainability, will be pivotal for its sustained competitive advantage and expansion in Indonesia’s digital banking sector.

Abstract

Research capability and the teaching pipeline are seriously threatened by the global drop in the number of students pursuing PhD degrees. There is still a lack of consensus across disciplines and theoretical stances about the intricate decision-making process that shapes intentions for PhD study. The present systematic review aims to synthesize elements affecting doctorate study palns, focusing on the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) and provide a thorough theoretical lens that allows to analyze this significant educational option. In accordance with PRISMA, 45 research articles that had been released between 2000 and 2023 and were accessible through four databases (Scoups, ERIC, PsycINFO, and Web of Science) were examined. Empirical investigations into factors influencing doctorate study plans among prospective or current master’s grads or students were taken into consideration while determining the selection requirements. The results suggest that the most crucial determinant of students’ intents to pursue a doctoral degree is their mindset regarding their motifs of pursuing a doctoral at academic institutions (attitudes towards doctorate’s studies), particularly their intrinsic desire and love for researching. The next most significant indicators are self-efficacy, money related issues, and a sense of behavioral control. Although subjective norms are important, their impact varies depending on the society. The three TPB constructs work together rather than against each other.

Abstract

This study uses an integrated analysis of positive law and Islamic law at Polres Bungo to investigate the reconstruction of sanctions for juvenile offenders during the investigation stage. Empirical trends suggest a procedural and administrative orientation that may restrict substantive rehabilitation, even though Undang-Undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2012 tentang Sistem Peradilan Pidana Anak (Juvenile Criminal Justice System Act) formally adopts restorative justice, diversion, and the best interests of the child as guiding principles. Using a multidisciplinary approach that integrates statutory, theological-normative (shar‘i), and historical considerations, this study uses a normative qualitative design based on library research. The theoretical framework incorporates maqāṣid al-sharīʿah as a normative evaluation instrument, legal effectiveness theory, and punishment theories. The findings reveal a conceptual convergence between Indonesian positive law and Islamic criminal jurisprudence in differentiating criminal responsibility based on maturity and prioritizing rehabilitation over retribution. There are still differences, nevertheless, when it comes to age criteria and the classification of sanctions: Islamic law places more emphasis on moral and biological maturity (baligh and tamyīz), whereas positive law focuses on strict legislative boundaries. The predominance of formal legality over psychosocial assessment at the investigative level runs the risk of undermining rehabilitative goals. In order to maintain proportionality and child protection, this study suggests a reconstructive paradigm that operationalizes maqāṣid-based principles, combines thorough psychological evaluation, and improves diversion measures. In addition to realistically advancing the creation of a more equitable, rehabilitative, and child-centered investigative framework, the research theoretically advances the conversation about harmonizing state and Islamic law.
