Abstract

Water is part of the environment has an important function for human life and other living things. The level of water pollution has increased significantly followed by an increase in population. Water pollution is caused by several things, one of which is detergent waste. This study aims to determine the concentration of detergents as well as the load capacity of sanua river water detergent pollutants, in Sanua Village, West Kendari District, Kendari City. The results showed that the type of detergent used by the public was powder detergent which contained LAS (Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonate) compounds. Detergent concentration analysis results showed that, detergent concentration in February, station 1 was 0.067µg l -1, station 2 was 0.106µg l-1, station 3 was 0.117µg l-1, station 4 was 0.129µg-1, station 5 was 0.112 μg-1 and station 6 were 0.109 μg l-1. Whereas in March station 1 was 0.128µg-1, station 2 was 0.496µg l -1, station 3 was 0.139µg l-1, station 4 was 0.107µgl-1, station 5 was 0.265µg l-1 and station 6 was 0.149µg l-1 1 The average concentration of the pollution load capacity of detergents is 0.106 µg-1 in February and 0.215 µg l-1 in March, this value is far from the quality standard stipulated by PP. No. 82 of 2001, where the quality standard is 200 µg l-1 for grades 1-3.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the Water Pollution Index of the Jompi River in Muna Regency as Raw Water for PDAM Kota Raha. This research was carried out in April to May 2018, using the Pollution Index Analysis method carried out with reference to the Regulation of the Minister of Environment No. 115 of 2003 concerning Guidelines on the Status of Water Quality. with physical parameters (odor, color, turbidity, taste, dissolved solids (TDS) and suspended solids (TSS)), organic chemical parameters (oil and fat, surfactants / detergents), biological parameters (total Coliform and number of Escherichia coli) . Still in the classification meets quality standards. While the average percentage of the River Jompi Pollution Index has a classification of ≤1, which means that the River Jompi is still in good condition.

Abstract

The management of agricultural land that is still conventional and the lack of information related to land management has caused the condition of several agricultural lands in Lambakara Village to be quite concerning. The condition of Lambakara Village which is directly adjacent to the village with hilly topography and steep slopes can cause Lambakara Village to be prone to landslides and flooding. In addition, the quality and quantity of soil can decrease as a result of long-term agricultural management. One alternative to overcome the problems faced by Lambakara Village is the application of the Agroforestry system. the purpose of this service is to provide knowledge and learning to farmers as an effort to increase public knowledge about agroforestry applications. The initial stage was carried out in the form of a location survey stage to find out which community lands could be used and have the potential to implement the Agroforestry system. The socialization stage was in the form of interviews and coordination with village officials, related stakeholders, and the community in introducing the Agroforestry system as an effort to conserve agricultural land to support sustainable agriculture. The implementation stage is in the form of public education regarding the Agroforestry system and direct planting of forestry plants on community agricultural land. All stages of community service activities in Lambakara Village were carried out well. The involvement of village officials and the local community is the main indicator of achieving the target of this activity. As many as 300 nutmeg seedlings were successfully planted on the community's agricultural land

Abstract

The rise of growing plants by the hydroponic method is currently popular because it does not require large areas of land and land. Hydroponic planting using the NFT (Nutrient Film Technique) method requires airflow to be maintained; its function is to distribute nutrient water to plant roots. In practice, PLN is used to turn on the water pump, but if the energy supply from PLN dies due to interference or negligence, the supply of plant nutrients will also stop, so a solution is needed. The purpose of community service activities (PKM) aims to increase knowledge and skills in applying a solar power generation system for hydroponic plants, especially for activity partners, namely the Nuri Holti Hidro Business. The activity was held on 29 - 30 June 2022 and attended by 20 participants. PKM stages: (1) the preparation stage - team meeting, coordination with partners, and preparation of facilities and equipment; and (2) the implementation stage of training and technical guidance. The training was carried out using the demonstration method. The pre-test evaluation results revealed that the training participants' knowledge and skills regarding applying solar power generation systems for hydroponic plants was only 40 per cent. Meanwhile, the results of the post-test evaluation after the training activities for implementing solar power generation systems for hydroponic plants. There was an increase of 85 per cent in the training participants. Applying a solar power generation system for hydroponic plants is more flexible for hydroponic plant locations that are open / in the sun.

Abstract

Griya Melon Kendari UMKM has been established since 2019. Even though it has been around for a long time, the UMKM still uses traditional promotion and marketing methods. The promotion and marketing process for the product is still simple, with consumers who want to buy it coming to MSMEs to buy some of the hydroponic melon plants. Because of this, MSMEs cannot sell widely, even though this has been done in several locations in Kendari City. The aim of this PKM activity is to increase knowledge and skills in marketing innovations for hydroponic melon plants in greenhouses through the Facebook marketplace. The activity partner is UMKM Griya Melon Kendari. The activity was held on August 15, 2023, and was attended by 20 participants. Activity plan: (1) preparation stage (team meetings, partner meetings, and preparation of facilities and equipment); and (2) implementation stage Training using a demonstration approach method. The results of the pre-test evaluation showed that the training participants' knowledge and skills regarding marketing hydroponic melon plants via the Facebook marketplace were 50 percent. Meanwhile, the results of the post-test evaluation after the training activity on marketing hydroponic melon plants in greenhouses via the Facebook marketplace showed an increase of 90 percent among the training participants. The results of the activity show that the process of using the Facebook marketplace feature is very influential as a medium for promotion and marketing of hydroponic melon plant products. The implementation of the Facebook marketplace has greatly influenced the sales value of hydroponic plant products at Griya Melon Kendari MSMEs in Southeast Sulawesi. This is realized by taking steps to sell via the Facebook marketplace.

Abstract

Sawapudo Village, known for its unique coastal features including beaches, karst cliffs, and mangrove vegetation, holds tourism potential. However, a lack of wise management has led to degradation, including mangrove loss and over-exploitation of rare species. Community involvement is crucial for sustainable management. Through Integrated Thematic Community Services in July-August 2019, efforts were made to address these issues. The activities aimed to educate the community on tourism village management, improve local skills in souvenir making, and enhance digital presence through website creation and social media management. Proposed solutions included institutional strengthening, greening tourism spots, promoting IT-based tourism, producing eco-friendly souvenirs, and establishing a village website. These initiatives aim to boost the local economy and position Sawapudo as a natural tourism destination.
