Abstract

This study was conducted to explore and describe the clarity, the naturalness, the emotional expressions and the styles used in the translation of Hansel and Gretel fairytale. The data were collected through document analysis and analysed by using three main steps, namely data reduction, data display, and data conclusion and verification. The results showed that (1) there are many forms which are not clear and not easy to understand; (2) there are many forms which are correct grammatically but not natural; (3) emotion is expressed through words, phrases and sentences which describe anger, fear, sadness, joy and calmness; and (4) there are five styles used by the translator: simile, hyperbol, assonace, repetition and personification.

Abstract

This article reports on a research aimed at improving the students’ grammatical-lexical competence using learning model circuit training. The subjects were the students of the German Department who took part in the lecture Struktur und Wortschatz 1 Off AA in 2009. The results show that the process consists of four main phases: motivation, going around, training, and presenting; and the actions had the effects: all students were totally active and75 % of the students could present the learning materials correctly, the average point at the end of the second cycle (70,58) can be regarded as successful.

Abstract

The study aimed to describe (1) the employment of the Mastery Learning method, (2) the student learning outcomes after the implementation of the learning method, and (3) the effectiveness, efficiency, and attractiveness of the employment of the Mastery Learning method for teaching German grammar and vocabulary in two PASCH schools in Malang. The study is a qualitative study using a case study design. The research data were collected from German language classes at two PASCH schools in Malang, SMAN 1 and SMAN 5 Malang. Observations, video recordings, and interviews were used to collect the qualitative data. Data analysis was performed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman (1984). The findings reveal that (1) the Mastery Learning method was successfully employed at the two PASCH schools, (2) the students’ mastery of the German grammar and vocabulary ranged from good to very good, and (3) the method was considered effective, efficient, and attractive.

Abstract

Community Health Centers, known in Indonesia as Puskesmas, hold a strategic position in the national health system as primary health care facilities and local sites of public health policy implementation. However, most studies on Puskesmas have focused on technical, managerial, and service performance aspects, while limited attention has been given to how health policies are interpreted, negotiated, and adapted through everyday social practices. This systematic review aims to analyze the role of Puskesmas as arenas of public health policy implementation and social practice. The review followed the PRISMA guidelines and searched articles published between 2015 and 2025 through Google Scholar, PubMed, and Garuda. Articles were selected based on their relevance to primary health care, policy implementation, and social practice. Six articles met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed using thematic synthesis. The findings show that Puskesmas function as spaces where national health policies are translated into local practice, particularly in the implementation of the National Health Insurance/BPJS and the Healthy Indonesia Program with a Family Approach. Policy implementation is shaped by human resource capacity, infrastructure, intersectoral coordination, health literacy, local culture, and community participation. This review confirms that strengthening Puskesmas requires a contextual, adaptive, participatory, and socially sensitive policy approach that recognizes Indonesia’s diverse geographical and sociocultural conditions
