Abstract

Based on theory life cycle hypothesis of saving and consumption, it is believed that this increase in life expectancy is to be one of the reasons for participating in investing; one form of investment is pension fund. Nonetheless, there was a contrary condition between the slightly increase in life expectancy and decrease in pension fund during period of 2015 to 2019 in Indonesia. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyse the effect of life expectancy on pension fund total participation and the number of pension fund in provinces in Indonesia. The data presented in this research is a cross-province data of life expectancy and pension funds. The data were extracted from the published database of Statistic Indonesia and Indonesia Financial Services Authority, covering a period of 2015 to 2019. The approach in this research is a quantitative approach; with the type of research used is verification research. The collected data were analysed; using a panel data regression model on random effect assumptions with Generalized Least Squares. The finding of this research it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant effect of life expectancy on pension fund. This research paper data will assist in promoting the opportunity for pensions fund business or institution. The finding of the processed and analysed data are beneficial for the stakeholder, among other the entrepreneur, pensions fund institution, or business in order to develop precise strategy. Hence, these related institutions may better prepare for the coming opportunity in creating better future, welfare in line with the sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the community satisfaction, which consists of public service satisfaction, environmental satisfaction, recreational opportunity satisfaction, economic satisfaction, community involvement, and social opportunities and medical services satisfaction, has an effect on the support of tourism development in Indonesia. This purpose was set since the sustainability of tourism development is something important, so it requires support from the community. The data used are primary data collected through a survey in the form of a questionnaire. The population in this study were the people of Indonesia, while the sample was determined by using a simple random sampling technique. The analysis technique used is PLS-SEM considering the suitability of these techniques with research objectives. The findings of this study based on the results of data processing are that environmental satisfaction, economic satisfaction, community involvement, and social opportunities have an effect on tourism development support in Indonesia, while public service satisfaction, recreational opportunity satisfaction, and satisfaction with medical services have no effect.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze: The effect of destination quality on tourist engagement, the effect of destination quality on tourist loyalty, the effect of tourist engagement on tourist loyalty and the effect of destination quality on tourist loyalty mediated with tourist engagement. The data analysis method uses a structural equation model. The research sample is tourists who have visited natural tourist destinations in South Sumatra totaling 320 respondents.  The results of this study prove that the destination quality affects tourist engagement.  Destination quality affects tourist loyalty.  Tourist engagement affect tourist loyalty.  Tourist engagement mediates the effect of destination quality on tourist loyalty. The implication of this finding explains that tourist engagement driven by destination quality will be able to increase tourist loyalty.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate direct effect of electronic word of mouth on destination image and travel intention, direct effect destination image on travel intention, and indirect effect of electronic word of mouth on travel intention through destination image. Data were collected through by online questionnaires with a total sample of 155 respondents. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, with criteria are people who have never been visit to Dempo Mountain area, age criteria among 18-35 years old, living in Palembang City, and who had seen content regarding tourist attraction of Dempo Mountain area in social media. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and path analysis with SPSS program. The results of this study showed that: electronic word of mouth has a positive and significant direct effect on destination image and has a positive and significant direct effect on travel intention, destination image has a positive and significant direct effect on travel intention, and electronic word of mouth has an indirect effect on travel intention through destination image.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether the supporting factors influence the implementation of coordination in tourism communities or organizations in Indonesia. Data collection was carried out by survey through distribution of questionnaires to respondents who were samples from the entire population. The data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) technique. The results of the data processing show that the supporting factors in the form of common goals and government attention has significant positive influence the implementation of coordination in the tourism community. The results of this study have implications that it is important for every individual in an organization or community to focus on goals and it is important for stakeholders, namely the government to pay more attention.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to assess the impact of handwashing on poverty reduction and life expectancy. The Covid-19 pandemic, which is ongoing and has not yet ended after more than a year in Indonesia, reminds us of the importance of maintaining health, especially through simple methods, namely washing hands frequently. Referring to previous research, health is an important factor that affects many things, including life expectancy and poverty. The existence of the Covid-19 pandemic seems to be an alarm that reminds us of the importance of getting used to washing hands frequently in an effort to maintain health. Therefore, this research is deemed necessary to use data from provinces in Indonesia. The relationship between handwashing habits and their effect on life expectancy and poverty reduction is also influenced by other interconnected variables, therefore data processing is carried out using the Simultaneous Equation Model analysis technique, as an effort to jointly examine the variables suspected to be the impact interrelated from this research. The results of this study indicate that the habit of washing hands in various provinces in Indonesia has a significant effect on life expectancy and poverty, so it needs to be continued and requires supportive policies, for example in the form of increasing awareness to stay healthy, stay save with more stay at home. Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menkaji dampak kebiasaan mencuci tangan terhadap pengurangan kemiskinan dan angka harapan hidup. Pandemi Covid-19 yang sedang berlangsung dan belum kunjung usai setelah lebih setahun lamanya di Indonesia, mengingatkan kita pentingnya menjaga kesehatan, terutama melalui cara sederhana yaitu melakukan aktivitas sering mencuci tangan. Mengacu paada penelitian terdahulu kesehatan merupakan faktor penting yang berpengaruh terhadap banyak hal, diantaranya angka harapan hidup dan kemiskinan. Keberadaan pandemi Covid-19 seolah menjadi alarm yang mengingatkan kita pentingnya untuk membiasakan sering mencuci tangan sebagai upaya menjaga kesehatan. karena itu penelitian ini dirasa perlu untuk dilakukan dengan menggunakan data dari provinsi-provinsi yang ada di Indonesia. keterkaitan kebiasaan mencuci tangan dan pengaruhnya terhadap angka harapan hidup dan pengurangan kemiskinan juga dipengaruhi oleh variabel-variabel lain yang saling terhubung, karena itu pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik analisis Simultan Equation Model, sebagai upaya menelaah secara bersama sama variabel variabel yang diduga merupakan dampak yang saling berkaitan dari penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kebiasaan mencuci tangan di berbagai provinsi di Indonesia memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemiskinan dan usia harapan hidup, sehingga perlu dilanjutkan dan memerlukan kebijakan yang mendukung, misalnya berupa peningkatan kesadaran untuk stay health, stay save dengan lebih banyak stay at home. Abstract

Pemulihan industri pariwisata agar pulih lebih cepat, bangkit lebih kuat dapat dilakukan melalui peningkatan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan ke destinasi wisata. Namun upaya ini dapat terjadi jika wisatawan menyadari keberadaan destinasi-destinasi wisata yang dapat mereka kunjungi. Salah satu destinasi wisata di Sumatera Selatan adalah Agrowisata, Desa Gelebak Dalam, Kabupaten Banyuasin, yang merupakan salah satu daerah tingkat II di Provinsi tersebut. Belum banyak masyarakat yang menyadari keberadaan destinasi wisata tersebut, termasuk masyarakat yang berada berdekatan dengan destinasi wisata tersebut, seperti masyarakat yang berada di Kota Palembang. Sehingga menjadi perlu menjadi perlu untuk dilakukan upaya peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat akan keberadaan destinasi wisata Agrowisata, Desa Gelebak Dalam, Kabupaten Banyuasin. Target sasaran kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah masyarakat di sekitar destinasi wisata, termasuk mitra penyedia jasa pariwisata dan masyarakat daerah terdekat seperti masyarakat Kota Palembang. Pengabdian pada masyarakat ini menggunakan pendekatan dengan tahapan sebagai berikut: tahapan perencanaan, persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Sebagai bagian dari keseluruhan rangkaian kegiatan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, disebarkan konten secara digital. Penggunaan konten promosi secara digital di Instagram oleh tim pelaksana kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan guna meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat secara optimal tentang keberadaan jasa pariwisata berupa destinasi agrowisata di Kabupaten Banyuasin

Abstract

This study aimed to examine savings behavior of 97 women in the millennial generation and Gen Z group who live in rural areas. Recent surveys show that millennials and Gen Z recognize the importance of saving but only have savings that are enough to fulfill their life for three months. The research was conducted using a quantitative experimental between subject design method to answer questions regarding the influence of financial knowledge socialization on financial literacy. A non-experimental quantitative study was conducted to determine the moderating role of self-control on the influence of financial literacy on saving behavior through self-report on valid and reliable questionnaires and scales. The study results show that financial literacy and self-control have a role in explaining saving behavior (R2 = 0.52, p ≤ 0.05). Financial literacy has a significant positive impact in increasing saving behavior. Self-control also has an equally significant influence in explaining saving behavior. However, through testing the moderating role, self-control has a significant negative impact in influencing the relationship between financial literacy and saving behavior, this is interesting for further discussion.
