Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the show and tell method on speech skills with thetheme of the youth oath of class V SDN Rejosari. The research method used is an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population taken is all students of class V, totaling 26 students. Data collection techniques in this study were performance tests and documentation. The data analysis technique used the t test with a significant level of = 0.05. It was concluded that there was an effect of the showand tell method on speech skills with the theme of the youth oath of fifth grade students at SDN Rejosari. Based on the calculation, the posttest mean value is greater than the pretest average value. Thus the show and tell method can improve the speaking skills of fifth grade students at SDN Rejosari.

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu rendahnya tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik kelas VII di SMP Negeri 52 Palembang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran Project Based Learning berbasis etnomatematika terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes. Desain penelitian menggunakan true-experimental dengan post-test only control. Populasi berjumlah 165 siswa dan Sampel ditentukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling berjumlah 69 siswa yang terdiri dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian di uji coba valid, realibilitas, tingkat kesukaran dan daya pembeda. Hasil instrumen layak digunakan untuk penelitian. Data telah dilakukan uji prasyarat uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning berbasis etnomatematika terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif pada siswa kelas VII SMPN 52 Palembang.

Abstract

Critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration are all skills that students must have in the twenty-first century. A meaningful assessment, where the assessment can develop higher-order thinking skills, is one effort to realize the achievement of 21st-century skills. The goal of this research is to develop a HOTS test instrument relying on valid and reliable geometry for students. This study is a development study that employs the Akker development model. This study's data was gathered through questionnaires, documentation, interviews, and tests. The data were descriptively, qualitatively, and quantitatively analyzed. As a result of this research, the HOTS test instrument on the developed material is valid and reliable for students. The results of the expert's assessment of the content and language of the questions indicate the validity of the questions. The overall validity of the test instrument is 85.71 percent. A large-scale trial involving 110 students in grade 10 of senior high school yielded the empirical validity and reliability of the test items, with the test results indicating that 18 items were declared valid and reliable. As a result, the created Geometry test instrument can be used to assess students' HOTS abilities.
