Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of principal supervision and teacher work motivation on the work discipline of high school teachers in Tanjung Lubuk District. This type of research is quantitative research with a research design using an ex post facto research design. The sample in this study was a total of all high school teachers in Tanjung Lubuk District, consisting of 96 teachers. data collection technique using a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques, and multiple regression. The results of this study state that 1) there is a significant effect of the supervision of school principals on the work discipline of high school teachers in Tanjung Lubuk District; 2) there is a significant effect of teacher work motivation on the work discipline of high school teachers in Tanjung Lubuk District; 3) there is a jointly significant effect of the supervision of the principal and work motivation on the work discipline of high school teachers in Tanjung Lubuk District.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that the learning carried out is still conventional and too teacher-centred, so this causes students' science learning outcomes to be in the low category. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of the talking stick learning model on the science learning outcomes of class V students at SD Negeri 230 Palembang. This research is quantitative using a pre-experimental type experimental method with a one group pretest-posttest design.The research population consisted of 29 fifth grade students at SD Negeri 230 Palembang. The data analysis technique used in the prerequisite test is the normality test and hypothesis test (t-test) with the paired sample t test. Based on the results of data analysis using the t-test, a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 was obtained, in this case it means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is a significant influence in the use of the talking stick learning model ont he science learning outcomes of class V students at SD Negeri 230 Palembang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the Make a Match learning model affects the learning outcomes of fourth-grade elementary school students on the theme of energy conservation, specifically the sub-theme of energy benefits, or not. There are two hypotheses in this study: the application of the Make a Match model affects the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students on the theme of energy conservation, specifically the sub-theme of energy benefits (H_a), and the application of the Make a Match learning model does not affect the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students on the theme of energy conservation, specifically the sub-theme of energy benefits (H_0). The research method used is an experimental method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of this study consists of all fourth-grade elementary school students, totaling 25 students. Since the population is less than 25, the entire population is used as the sample in this study. Data collection was conducted through testing and interviews. The research data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and prerequisite analysis tests. Based on the data analysis, it is known that the Significance (2-tailed) value is 0.000, while the significance level is 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Make a Match learning model affects the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students on the theme of energy conservation, specifically the sub-theme of energy benefits, where H_a is accepted, and H_0 is rejected.

Abstract

This research discusses the analysis of narrative writing skills in the fifth grade at SD Negeri 8 Palembang for the academic year 2024. This study employs a qualitative descriptive research method using interview techniques and documentation studies. The validity test for this research includes source triangulation and data collection techniques. The data analysis techniques used in this research are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 8 Palembang have adequate writing skills. The average assessment for each aspect is as follows: content organization with an average of 2.45 (adequate), grammar aspect with an average of 2.5 (adequate), word choice aspect with an average of 2 (adequate), and spelling and punctuation aspect with an average of 1.7 (poor).

Abstract

Kinerja guru merupakan faktor krusial dalam menentukan mutu pendidikan di SD Negeri 100 Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan instrumen berupa wawancara menggunakan daftar pertanyaan. Sebanyak 12 guru menjadi responden dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan adanya kesenjangan antara kinerja yang direncanakan dan kinerja yang terjadi di lapangan. Metode Discrepancy Evaluation Model (DEM) digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengevaluasi perbedaan tersebut, memberikan gambaran komprehensif mengenai efektivitas kinerja guru. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi landasan untuk pengembangan strategi perbaikan kinerja guru, yang pada gilirannya akan mendukung peningkatan mutu pendidikan di SD Negeri 100 Palembang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of teacher certification and work discipline on the performance of State Junior High School teachers in Tebing Tinggi District. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a survey approach. Data was collected through a questionnaire distributed to teachers who teach at several State Junior High Schools in Tebing Tinggi District. From the statistical results, there is an influence of teacher certification and work discipline simultaneously on the performance of State Junior High School teachers in Tebing Tinggi District from the results of the analysis of values of F-clung = 13.587 > F-table = 0.967 and able to contribute a simultaneous influence of 33.4%. The results of the study show that certification and work discipline have a significant impact on teacher performance. Teachers with certification tend to perform better than teachers who are not certified. In addition, work discipline also plays a vital role in improving teacher performance. Teachers with high work discipline are more effective in carrying out their duties and achieving educational goals. This study concludes that certification and work discipline are essential in improving teacher performance. Therefore, efforts to improve teacher performance should include a broader certification program and an improvement in work discipline through various training and supportive policies

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of principal leadership and teacher performance on the quality of education in State Junior High School in Tebing Tinggi District. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach. The population of this study was all teachers and principals of state junior high schools in Tebing Tinggi District, with a random sample. Data was collected through questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression to see the contribution of each independent variable to the quality of education. Some people who face the quality of the Negeri Junior High School students in Kei Tebing Tinggi District are significant in the principal leadership and teachers' performance. This is known from the F-count = 16.452 > F-table 1.738 and can contribute 25.3% of the total number of factors, the remaining 74.7% due to other factors not mentioned in the study. The results of the study show that the leadership of school principals has a significant influence on the quality of education. School principals who apply transformational leadership styles tend to be able to increase teacher motivation and performance, which in turn has a positive impact on the quality of education. In addition, teacher performance was also found to have a significant influence on the quality of education. Teachers with good professional, academic, social, and personality competencies can create an effective and efficient learning process, thereby improving the quality of education in schools. In conclusion, the principal's leadership and teacher performance significantly improved the quality of education at State Junior High Schools in Tebing Tinggi District. Therefore, it is recommended that schools and local governments continue to strengthen the leadership capacity of school principals and improve teacher performance through continuous training and professional development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat kesulitan tinggi pada materi bangun datar di kelas IV SD Negeri 13 Prabumulih. Metode pengumpulan informasi yang diterapkan adalah analisis, interaksi, dan mencatat secara langsung di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 13 Prabumlih yang memiliki populasi sejumlah 26 murid. Namun, tujuan utama dalam studi ini adalah tiga pelajar yang menghadapi kendala dalam menuntaskan persoalan HOTS yang teridentifikasi penilaian guru kelas. Proses analisis data dilaksanakan dengan memperkecil data, menyajikan data, dan mengambil simpulan. Penelitian ini mengungkap faktor- faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS mengenai bangun datar termasuk kurangnya kecermatan siswa dalam melakukan perhitungan serta kurangnya kecermatan siswa dalam mengerjakan soal dalam mengaplikasikan rumus yang sesuai, kurang pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep yang diajarkan, kurang pengetahuan siswa mengenai rumus yang sesuai, kurang pemahaman siswa terhadap proses operasi hitung, kurangnya kecermatan siswa dalam mengerjakan soal, kesulitan yang dialami oleh siswa dalam memahami tujuan soal serta kekurangan kecermatan dalam membaca soal, kurangnya fokus siswa dalam proses pembelajaran, kurang perhatian siswa terhadap penjelasan dari guru, serta jarangnya siswa berlatih mengerjakan soal yang berbasis HOTS. Selain itu, penting untuk memberikan latihan soal yang memiliki kesamaan, siswa harus menguasai konsep dan mengingat rumus bukan hanya sekedar menghafal, siswa harus memperhatikan guru ketika sedang menjelaskan materi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidak perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran PBL, PjBL dan Inquiry Learning. Penelitian ini menggunaan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain Posttest Only Control Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh kelas VII di MTs Negeri 1 OKU Timur dengan jumalah sebanyal 354 siswa pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan Cluster Random Sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 96 siswa yang terbagi menjadi 3 kelas. Instrumen yang digunakan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dengan jumlah 5 soal uraian yang sudah memenuhi uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Analisis data menggunakan uji anava satu jalur dan uji Scheffe sebagai uji lanjut. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pada penelitian ada perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang menggunakan model PBL, PjBL dan Inquiry Learning. Pada hasil uji lanjut Scheffe diperoleh bahwa siswa yang menggunakan model Inquiry Learning memiliki rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yang lebih rendah dibandingkan siswa diajar model PBL dan PjBL.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media Pocket book mathematic (pocmat) pada mata pelajaran matematika kelas III SD yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Desain penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu R&D (Research and Development). Penelitian ini menggunakan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media Pocket book mathematic (pocmat) yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dengan kriteria valid, sangat praktis, dan efektif. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan hasil validasi oleh ketiga validator diperoleh skor rata-rata 77,46% dengan kriteria “Valid”. Produk yang diuji kepraktisannya oleh one to one, small group, dan kelompok besar diperoleh skor rata-rata 93,16% dengan kriteria “Sangat Praktis”. Produk yang diuji keefektifannya oleh siswa kelas III B diperoleh skor 78,26% dengan kriteria “Efektif”. Berdasarkan kesimpulan di atas, maka pengembangan media Pocket book mathematic (pocmat) pada mata pelajaran matematika kelas III SD Negeri 228 Palembang dapat disimpulkan bahwa media Pocket book mathematic (pocmat) yang dikembangkan memiliki kriteria valid, sangat praktis, dan efektif.
