Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of syllable puzzle learning media on the reading skills of first-grade students at SDN 88 Pekanbaru. The background of this research is based on the low early reading ability of students and the prevalent use of conventional teaching methods that are less engaging and not suited to the characteristics of young learners. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest model. The sample consisted of 28 first-grade students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation and reading tests, while data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and paired sample t-test with the help of SPSS software. The results showed an increase in the average score from 35.71 in the pretest to 89.00 in the posttest. The paired t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant effect of using syllable puzzle media on students' reading ability. This media proved to enhance not only reading skills but also students' motivation and engagement during the learning process. Therefore, syllable puzzle media is recommended as an innovative strategy for teaching Indonesian language in early grade classes.

Abstract

Kurikulum Merdeka merupakan kebijakan pemerintah yang bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan kurikulum yang ada. Perubahan kurikulum 2013 menjadi kurikulum merdeka menuntut guru untuk memahami dan mempelajari kurikulum merdeka. Masih banyak guru yang belum memahami secara teoretis dan praktis kebijakan pada kurikulum merdeka. Guru merasa kesulitan menerapkan kebijakan kurikulum merdeka di sekolah dan di kelas. Guru kesulitan dalam mengembangkan metode pembelajaran, dan assessment yang merujuk pada merdeka belajar. Pada kurikulum merdeka, sebelu memulai pembelajaran dituntut untuk melakukan assessmen awal pembelajaran, kemudian diikuti dengan assessment saat pembelajaran dan akhir pembelajaran. Dengan adanya perubahan tersebut membuat guru bingung dalam melaksanakan assessment tersebut. Adapun tujuan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pemahaman terhadap guru dalam melaksanakan assessmen sesuai dengan yang diharapkan pada kurikulum merdeka. Metode kegiatan pengabdian ini dengan memberikan materi dan membantu guru dalam merancang assessmen pada kurikulum merdeka. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat meningkatkan kompetensi pemahaman guru terhadap kurikulum merdeka terutama pada assessment pembelajaran pada kurikulum merdeka. Berdasarkan kegiatan yang telah dilakukan guru-guru terbantu dalam menghasilkan assessment di awal pembelajaran dan memberikan pemahaman terhadap assessment yang harus dilakukan pada saat pembelajaran dan diakhir pembelajaran

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh adanya masalah tentang kemampuan literasi sains siswa SDN 171 Pekanbaru yang masih tergolong rendah seperti siswa cenderung kesulitan ketika diminta menjelaskan kembali materi yang sudah dipelajari, dan cenderung tidak mampu mendeskripskan atau menguraikan proses kejadian dari hasil kegiatan praktik materi didalam kelas. Solusi masalah ini yang ditawarkan yakni menerapkan metode outdoor learning yang dinilai tepat digunakan pada materi ekosistem. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode outdoor learning terhadap literasi sains materi ekosistem dikelas V SDN 171 Pekanbaru. Jenis Penelitian ini melalui pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini yakni kelas V yang terdiri dari 5 kelas. Sedangkan sampel penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengambilan purposive sampling maka sampel penelitian pada kelas VB sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VC sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah siswa masing-masingnya yakni 22 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, unjuk kerja dan dokumentasi. Pengujian Instrumen menggunakan validitas dan reliabilitas. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan uji prasayarat yakni uji normalitas, homogenitas, uji hipotesis dan uji N-Gain. Berdasarkan pengolahan data hasil penelitian yakni terdapat pengaruh metode outdoor learning terhadap literasi sains siswa materi ekosistem di SD Negeri 171 Pekanbaru, dengan besaran pengaruhnya tergolong pada kategori cukup efektif terhadap literasi sains siswa menjadi lebih baik.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the condition of the school environment at SD Negeri 48 Pekanbaru, to find out whether there is a significant influence between the school environment on learning motivation and learning outcomes of students at SD Negeri 48 Pekanbaru. The method used in this study is the causal correlation study method. Where the sample consists of 30 students, namely class V of elementary school. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire while to analyze the data using the normality, homogeneity and hypothesis test formulas. This is evidenced in the t-test hypothesis test obtaining a value of 4.743 with a significant level of 0.000 <0.05. it can be concluded that the learning environment plays an important role in the learning process, especially on learning outcomes. Furthermore, there is a positive and significant influence between the learning environment and learning outcomes. This is evidenced in the t-test hypothesis test obtaining a value of 4.412 with a significant level of 0.000 <0.05. it can be concluded that the learning environment plays an important role in the learning process, especially on student learning motivation., meaning that there is a significant influence between the school environment on learning motivation and learning outcomes of class V students at SD Negeri 48 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

This research aims to develop comic media based on Pancasila student profiles with dimensions of faith, piety, and noble character. The development model used is the ADDIE model, namely analysis, design, and development. This research is development research using qualitative and quantitative approaches and the ADDIE model. The data used in this research comes from expert suggestions and comments in qualitative analysis, while in quantitative analysis, scores obtained from experts and students are used. This research was conducted at SDN 169 Pekanbaru, with a focus on implementing the Pancasila student profile of the dimensions of faith, piety, and noble character as part of the independent learning curriculum. The data sources in this research are teachers, students, validators, material experts, language experts, and design experts. Data collection was carried out through interviews with the principal of SDN 169 Pekanbaru, observations of student character, and analysis of documents related to the implementation of the independent learning curriculum and the profile of Pancasila students at the school. Qualitative data analysis techniques were carried out using the thematic analysis method. Meanwhile, for quantitative data analysis using descriptive statistical methods, this research produces comic media based on Pancasila student profiles with dimensions of faith, piety, and noble character. The development of this comic media involves the use of Figma and Microsoft Word applications, from creating script sketches and adding color to adding effects to comic scenes. The validity of comic media was declared very valid without revision based on the validation results of material experts, language experts, and design experts, with an overall validity percentage reaching 98.21%. Student responses to this comic media were also positive, with an average of 91.03%. Thus, this comic media is suitable for use as a Pancasila-based character learning tool in elementary schools.

Abstract

Asesmen diagnostik merupakan asesmen yang bertujuan untuk melihat kesiapan belajar peserta didik. Asesmen diagnostik terbagi kedalam dua jenis, yaitu asesmen diagnostik kognitif dan asesmen diagnostik non-kognitif. Asesmen diagnostik kognitif yang digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan intelektual dan pemahaman konseptual siswa. Asesmen diagnostik non-kognitif bertujuan menggambarkan profil siswa secara menyeluruh. Kegiatan sosialisasi penilaian diagnostik ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kapada guru terhadap pentingnya melakukan asesmen diagnostik sebelum Pelajaran dimulai. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan empat tahapan kegiatan yaitu: pemberian pretest, pemberian materi/pelaksanaan kegiatan sosialisasi, praktek merancang instrumen penilaian diagnostik, postest. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukan perbedaan antara nilai rata-rata pretest 34,32 sedangkan nilai rata-rata posttest 69,88. Kegiatan pengabdian ini memberikan peningkatan pemahaman guru-guru terhadap penilaian diagnostik, sehingga guru-guru dapat menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dengan mengetahui kondisi awal peserta didik, mengetahui kebutuhan peserta didik, serta menciptakan pembelajaran yang berdiferensiasi.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a contextual-based learning video media for elementary school. The form of this research is research and development or research and development using the Four-D (4D) model. Given the length of time and cost required, the research on the development of contextual-based learning video media was onlycarried out in three stages, namely define, design, and development. The sampling technique used by researchers was a purposive sampling technique with a total sample taken of 10 students from three schools in the Pelalawan region, Riau Province. The data collection technique used was obtained from validation results by learning mediaexpert validators, material experts, and class science teachers. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results of this study are in the form of learning video-based desain media on human respiratory system material in the form of video (mp4) which is tested based on the validator's assessment. The results ofvalidation by learning media experts show that the learning media developed is very feasible to use, based on the results of validation from experts, prereview including teachers and limited tests through student responses obtained from biology learning video media products on the subject matter of the human circulatory system are directed to the very category suitable for use as a medium for learning biology.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kendala peran orang tua dalam proses pembelajaran siswa kelas VSDIT Al-Hidayah Pekanbaru. Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan metode deskiptif. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa instrumen wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis data yang mengacu pada metode Miles and Huberman dengan hasil penelitian berupa pendeskripsian tentang kendala peran orang tua dalam proses pembelajaran siswa kelas V SDIT Al-Hidayah Pekanbaru.Terdapat 3 faktor kendala peran orang tua yaitu latar belakang pendidikan orang tua, ekonomi dan kesibungan yang dimiliki orang tua. Hasil yang ditemukan di lapangan sudah sesuai dengan teori, masih ditemukan orang tua yang terkendala dalam menjalankkan perannya. Sebagai pendidik, masih ada orang tua yang kesulitan dalam membantu menjelaskan materi kepada siswa dikarenakan keterbatasan pengetahuan yang dimiliki, tidak semua orang tua menyediakan fasilitas belajar lengkap karena keterbatasan ekonomi dan masih ada orang tua yang terkendala membimbing siswa dalam belajar karena kesibukan yang dimiliki.

Abstract

To get successful learning outcomes in science subjects in fourth grade elementary school material, teachers must use the right learning model. The aim of this research is to find out how much influence the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) model has on student learning outcomes in class IV style material at SDN 131 Pekanbaru. This research uses a quantitative approach with quasi-experimental research methods (quasi-experiments). The population in this study was 40 students with a sample of 20 students from class IV A as the experimental class and 20 students from class IV B as control class students. Sample selection is based on a partial population. The instrument used in this research was a test sheet to measure the abilities of class IV students at SDN 131 Pekanbaru. The analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. This test is used to see the influence or not of the contextual teaching learning (CTL) learning model. The results of the research show that there is an influence on the use of the CTL learning model on the learning outcomes of style material in class IV SDN 131 Pekanbaru. Abstract

This study critically examines the determinants of parental decision-making in school choice, emphasizing the roles of service quality and religious value orientation, with school image conceptualized as a mediating construct. A quantitative design, complemented by qualitative interpretation, was employed through structured survey instruments administered to parents, teachers, staff, and students. Empirical findings indicate that service quality does not directly shape parental decisions; its effect is fully transmitted through school image. This underscores the strategic role of institutional reputation as the primary conduit through which service performance translates into parental trust and selection. Conversely, religious value orientation exerts a robust and significant direct influence, underscoring the primacy of ideological and spiritual alignment in educational choice within faith-based contexts. The absence of mediating effects further demonstrates that functional (service-related) and ideological (value-driven) dimensions operate as independent yet complementary determinants. Overall, the study advances theoretical and practical insights into the dual pathways shaping parental choice, highlighting the necessity for schools to balance service excellence with value-based identity in order to remain competitive and trusted within increasingly diverse educational landscapes.
