Abstract

Hydroponic plants develop every time, and until now, many hydroponic plants are managed by the Indonesian people. The steps for producing hydroponic plants are seeding, transplanting, making hydroponic media, providing hydroponic nutrition, conditioning the water pH, and harvesting. One of the important steps to growing good plants is seeding. Therefore, a system connected to the IoT (IoT) is needed; this system acts as the main processor that can send data from sensors to users. This literature review aims to provide awareness about hydroponic plants and help farmers and the general public to more easily monitor hydroponic plants so that all people can easily do hydroponics at home using the IoT. The method used to compile this research is a literature study, searching for relevant scientific articles on the Google Scholar database using several keywords - seeding, hydroponics, IoT, and microcontrollers, with the year of publication 2016-2022. The IoT application for hydroponics provides many benefits, such as easy control for farmers from the sowing stage to irrigation. However, in the production process, the system requires appropriate parameters. The IoT-based hydroponic system facilitates seeding maintenance with the ESP8266 microcontroller, Arduino Uno microcontroller, DHT-22 sensor, PH-4502c, and TDS sensor.

Abstract

The increasing use of the internet during the Covid-19 pandemic requires people to carry out activities from home to tackle the spread of the virus. The need for innovation in shopping for sellers to meet their daily needs in serving their customers is certainly a challenge in shopping online with various obstacles and conditions. The challenge in providing information related to the goods that will be offered by buyers, of course, requires insight into presenting a product in the form of a catalog that will be loaded digitally. The product catalog is in the form of product explanations in the form of attractive images and text. Seeing the possibility of an increase in digital shopping habits, the presence or absence of Covid-19 certainly impacts the changing patterns of people's lifestyles in shopping online. Thus, the method of community service itself is carried out by preparing people in Purwakarta Regency who want to offer their products online in the form of catalog-making training, the implementation is carried out on the UPI campus in Purwakarta, and evaluation is the achievement of the training conducted by the workshop organizers. Thus, the expected results are very satisfying for the participants in terms of adding knowledge and insight, benefits and improvements in making catalog designs.

Abstract

ABSTRACTInternet of Things (IoT)  is one of the technological paradigms developed in the industrial revolution 4.0. The concept of IoT is an object can transfer data over a network without interaction from human-to-human or from human-to-computer. One of the IoT implementations in the education sector is the attendance system using IoT-based Radio Frequency Identification (RFID).  The attendance machines such as fingerprints and face recognition have a relatively high-cost compared to RFID machines. Hence, if the number of attendance machines within the School is limited, it will be less efficient for a large number of students and vulnerable to queuing. The RFID implementation in the Education sector was socialized through a Workshop with students and teachers of the secondary schools in Purwakarta, West Java, as the participants. To provide additional insight and expertise about the RFID-IoT concept to the workshop participants, this community service activity needs to be done. Several benefits will be obtained through this workshop, including saving paper use and efficiency, because the RFID-based IoT can reduce the teachers’ workload in processing the student attendance lists. Teachers are also invited to this workshop so they can guide their students and pass on the additional skills. Moreover, the invited teacher will teach new knowledge related to workshop material to other students in the School.Keywords: Internet-of-things, RFID, Mesin Kehadiran, Workshop, Purwakarta ABSTRAKInternet of Things (IoT) merupakan salah satu paradigma teknologi yang dikembangkan dalam revolusi industri 4.0. Konsep IoT adalah suatau objek dapat mentransfer data lewat jaringan tanpa adanya interaksi dari manusia ke manusia ataupun dari manusia ke perangkat komputer. Salah satu implementasinya pada bidang pendidikan yaitu sistem kehadiran menggunakan  Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) berbasis teknologi IoT. Mesin kehadiran seperti fingerprint dan face recognition memiliki harga yang relatif mahal dibandingkan mesin RFID. Sementara, jika jumlah mesin kehadiran yang ada di sekolah terbatas, hal ini sedikit kurang efisien untuk jumlah siswa yang sangat banyak dan rentan menimbulkan antrian. Implementasi RFID di bidang Pendidikan ini disosialisasikan melalui sebuah Workshop dengan siswa dan Guru dari sekolah menengah di Purwakarta, Jawa Barat sebagai peserta. Untuk dapat memberikan tambahan wawasan dan keterampilan mengenai mesin kehadiran RFID dengan konsep IoT kepada peserta Workshop, maka pengabdian masyarakat ini perlu dilakukan. Beberapa manfaat akan didapat memalui workshop ini, termasuk menghemat penggunaan kertas dan efisiensi karena RFID berbasis IoT mengurangi beban kerja guru dalam mengolah data kehadiran siswa. Guru turut diundang dalam workshop ini agar mereka dapat membimbing siswanya dan menularkan tambahan keterampilan dan wawasan yang didapat dari kegiatan PKM ini kepada siswa lainnya di sekolah..Kata Kunci: Internet-of-things, RFID, Workshop, Purwakarta

Abstract

ABSTRACTBased on observations, the Kindergarten school of Sekarwangi-Cirebon carried out online learning ineffectively; teachers only gave assignments or text-based worksheets to students than the students collected their answers through WhatsApp messenger. This method was simultaneously carried out because most of teachers had low competence in ICT, they did not have enough understanding about creating online learning media independently. Therefore, it was necessary to provide a workshop in creating video-based learning media for the primary material during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Kinemaster application was chosen as a medium for creating videos because it could be accessed on a Smartphone and was also relatively easy to operate. The workshop was carried out online using a WhatsApp group. Two senior teachers were the target of program. The workshop was held for one day, i.e., 3 December 2020, for 2 hours duration. The workshop results showed that despite the training materials delivered on the WhatsApp group, the teacher was able to follow instructions very well because of their enthusiasm in accepting new things, in this case, creating videos with the Android-based Kinemaster application. Teachers were able to use the Kinemaster application to produce simple learning videos. It was hoped that teachers could create online learning media to provide optimum learning process to students during the Covid-19 Pandemic.Keywords: Android, Kinemaster Application, Learning Videos ABSTRAKBerdasarkan observasi, TK Sekarwangi Cirebon melaksanakan pembelajaran daring dengan tidak efektif, guru hanya memberikan tugas/lembar kerja kepada siswa yang kemudian dikumpulkan melalui WhatsApp. Metode ini secara simultan dilakukan karena sebagian besar guru memiliki kemampuan IT yang rendah, mereka tidak memiliki cukup pemahamam tentang pembuatan media pembelajaran daring secara mandiri. Oleh karena itu, perlu diberikan pelatihan pembuatan video pembelajaran untuk materi utama selama pandemi Covid-19 berlangsung. Aplikasi Kinemaster dipilih sebagai media pembuatan video karena dapat diakses di Smartphone dan juga cukup mudah dalam pengoperasiannya. Pelatihan dilakukan secara daring, yaitu pada grup WhatsApp dengan 2 orang guru senior yang menjadi sasaran program. Kegiatan diselenggarakan satu hari saja, yaitu 3 Desember 2020 dengan durasi kegiatan selama 2 jam. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa meskipun penyampaian materi pelatihan di WhatsApp group, guru mampu mengikuti instruksi dengna sangat baik karena adanya antusiasme dalam menerima hal-hal baru, dalam hal ini adalah membuat video dengan aplikasi Android Kinemaster. Guru mampu menggunakan aplikasi Kinemaster untuk menghasilkan video pembelajaran daring. Materi yang disampaikan adalah Diharapkan, guru memiliki kemampuan dalam membuat media pembelajaran daring guna memberikan pembelajaran yang lebih maksimal kepada anak didik selama Pandemi Covid-19.Kata Kunci: Android, Aplikasi Kinemaster, Video Pembelajaran

Abstract

ABSTRACTAnalog Line Follower Robot is one of the use cases from various simple electronic circuit applications. Robotics technology continues to be upgraded over time. On the other hand, it is necessary to prepare human resources from an early age to have the competence (skills in hardware and software) in this field for those who live in urban and rural areas. This community service program aims to introduce a simple robot technology to village children who study in elementary/junior high schools. This program took place at Galingan village, Lumajang city, East Java province, by one-day workshop. This program is divided into five major activities: (1) problem formulation based on field observation, (2) planning and preparation, (3) main activities, (4) evaluation, and (5) publication. We utilize robots available in online stores as a pilot in this program. The reason is as follows: it can cut preparation & implementation time, and they are also more affordable other than a DIY robot. The results showed that the participants were enthusiastic about a simple analog Line Follower robot. As an implication, this program can prepare children with competencies in the Robotics field. Children of Galingan village were selected as pilot projects for implementing a similar program with broader targets in the future. Hopefully, this village will become a central base in Lumajang city for children's hobbies in robotics. Keywords: Robotics, Line Follower robot, Village kids ABSTRAKRobot Line Follower analog merupakan salah satu use case dari beragam aplikasi rangkaian elektronika sederhana. Teknologi robotika terus dimutakhirkan dari waktu ke waktu. Disisi lain, perlu disiapkan SDM sedari dini agar memiliki kompetensi dibidang robotika, baik skill pada hardware maupun bagian software, baik bagi mereka yang tinggal di perkotaan maupun desa. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan teknologi robot sederhana pada anak-anak desa yang sekolah di SD/SMP. Program ini dilaksanakan di desa Galingan, Kabupatan Lumajang provinsi Jawa Timur melalui workshop sehari. Kegiatan pengabdian dibagi menjadi lima aktivitas besar: (1) perumusan masalah berdasarkan tinjauan kondisi sasaran program (problem statement), (2) perencanaan dan persiapan, (3) kegiatan inti, (4) evaluasi, dan (5) publikasi. Pelaksana memanfaatkan robot yang tersedia di toko online sebagai percontohan dalam kegiatan, selain dapat memangkas waktu persiapan & pelaksanaan, juga lebih terjangkau dibandingkan membuat sendiri. Hasil menunjukkan, peserta antusias dengan robot sederhana Line Follower analog. Sebagai implikasinya, pengabdian ini mampu membekali anak-anak dengan kompetensi dalam bidang Robotika. Anak-anak di desa Galingan dipilih sebagai pilot project untuk referensi pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian serupa beberapa tahun kedepan, dengan sasaran yang lebih luas. Diharapkan, desa ini akan menjadi kampung percontohan dan central base untuk hobi anak-anak dibidang robotika. Kata Kunci: Robotika, Line Follower, Anak-anak Desa

Abstract

Business Model Canvas (BMC) is a method used as business management strategy. This second stage of community service is developing BMC model on channeling elements techniques for communicating, interacting, and meeting between sellers and buyers. The purpose of  this community service is the application of technology in digital product marketing called digital marketing. The approach used in digital marketing uses Instagram, based on national surveys and surveys environment at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia has not been optimal. This digital marketing implementation method includes three stages, preparation, implementation and evaluation of activities. Preparation is carried out information on needs, methods of community service activities and socializing activities with business practitioners. The covid-19 pandemic that has occurred does not mean that it cannot carry out productive activities, but technological developments, the implementation of community service is synchronously or online via Zoom apps which is attended by students, academia and business enthusiast. The results of community service with the Instagram digital marketing are carried through questionnaires to explore satisfaction and relevance needs Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Kampus Cibiru that they can provide motivation to develop brand awareness of products or services and increase the number of entrepreneurs among students. Bisnis Model Canvas (BMC) merupakan sebuah metode yang digunakan sebagai strategi pengelolaan usaha. Pengabadian kepada masyarakat tahap kedua ini mengembangkan model BMC pada element channeling berupa teknik berkomunikasi, berinterakasi, dan bertemunya antara penjual dan pembeli. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini  ialah penerapan teknologi pada pemasaran produk secara digital atau dikenal dengan istilah digital marketing. Pendekatan yang digunakan pada digital markting menggunakan Instagram, hal ini disebabkan berdasarkan survei nasional dan survei di lingkungan Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia belum optimal penggunaanya. Metode pelaksanaan digital marketing ini meliputi tiga tahapan yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi kegiatan. Persiapan dilakukan dengan cara menggali informasi kebutuhan, metode kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dan sosialisasi kegiatan dengan praktisi bisnis. Pandemic covid-19 yang sampai saat ini terjadi bukan berarti tidak dapat melakukan kegiatan produktif namun berkat adanya perkembangan teknolgi maka pelaksanaan pengebadian kepada masyarakat dilakukan secara synchronous atau tatap maya melalui Zoom yang dihadiri oleh mahasiswa, peserta didik dan penggiat usaha. Hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan tema digital marketing Instagram dilakukan melalui kuesioner untuk menggali kepuasan dan relevasi dengan kebutuhan mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia di Kampus Cibiru sehingga dapat memberikan motivasi untuk mengembangkan brand awareness produk atau jasa serta menambah jumlah wirausaha di kalangan mahasiswa.

Abstract

ABSTRACTRA Daarul Amiin is one of the pre-primary schools in Purwakarta Regency, West Java province, which implemented online learning during the Covid-19. The mentoring program was carried out to further optimize distance learning by utilizing WhatsApp media. We made learning materials in Youtube videos to facilitate the students in understanding the related materials and provide intensive teaching to students and parental guidance. The target of this program was two teachers, 15 parents, and 15 early childhood children from RA Daarul Amiin Purwakarta. The program was responded to positively by teachers because it can help their activities, e.g., prepare materials, attendance, follow-up assignments, manage online classes, respond to the students' assignment results, recapitulate grades, and respond to the parents' questions. With this program, the parents do not have to worry about mismatched online class time. They can also consult quickly on questions or tasks that have not been understood. Students got proper teaching rights and got an appreciation for the results of their work. Thus, obstacles during distance learning using WhatsApp Group in RA Daarul Amiin during the Covid-19 pandemic can be minimized. Keywords: Impact of Covid-19, Distance Learning, Online Learning, Strengthening and Assisting Online Learning, WhatsApp Group ABSTRAKRA Daarul Amiin merupakan salah satu sekolah PAUD yang berada di Kabupaten Purwakarta, Jawa Barat yang menerapkan program pembelajaran jarak jauh selama pandemi covid-19. Program pendampingan dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk lebih mengoptimalkan pembelajaran jarak jauh dengan memanfaatkan media whatsApp. Pelaksana membuat materi pembelajaran berupa video Youtube agar siswa mampu memahami materi terkait, dan memberikan pengajaran intensif kepada siswa serta pembinaan orang tua. Sasaran program ini adalah 2 orang guru kelas, 15 orang tua, serta 15 anak usia dini dari RA Daarul Amiin Purwakarta. Program ini diterima dan ditanggapi positif oleh guru karena dapat membantu meringankan beban guru dalam mengajar online, diantaranya menyiapkan materi, absensi, follow-up tugas-tugas, memanajemen kelas online, menanggapi hasil tugas siswa, merekap nilai, dan merespon pertanyaan-pertanyaan orang tua siswa selama pembelajaran daring. Orang tua, mereka terbantu dengan adanya program ini sehingga tidak perlu khawatir terhadap kecocokan waktu kelas online dan dapat berkonsultasi dengan mudah akan soal-soal yang belum dipahami. Siswa mendapatkan hak pengajaran yang layak dan mendapatkan apresiasi akan hasil tugasnya. Dengan demikian, hambatan selama pembelajaran jarak jauh menggunakan WhatsApp Group di RA Daarul Amiin dapat diminimalisir. Kata Kunci: Dampak Covid-19, Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh, Pembelajaran daring, Penguatan dan Pendampingan Pembelajaran Daring, Whatsapp Group.

Abstract

Scientific poster training with Canva aims to increase students knowledge and skills in making scientific posters as well as being a competition for participants in implementing their new skill. The method used is to form a training concept as well as a scientific poster competition involving the role of LEPPIM management and members as the committee. This training and competition activity was attended by 20 students online using the Zoom Meeting platform and the Google Form link as a means to collect works. The result of this training is increasing the knowledge and sportsmanship of the participants in competing to produce scientific poster works.

Abstract

Research on 6G have been started with many applications including on the support of Metaverse, where humans can interact in cyberspace with real experiences. To introduce and provide an understanding of this technology, Program Studi Sistem Telekomunikasi Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia kampus Purwakarta held a Studium Generalle with the theme of "Knowing 6G Connectivity to Support the Metaverse" which was held in a hybrid manner. This Studium Generalle was filled by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Khoirul Anwar ST., M.Eng. (Director of The University Center of Excellence for Advanced Intelligent Communications or AICOMS and Lecturer of Tel-U). Participants were given a detailed description to contribute in the field of telecommunication research, such as 6G technology mainly on machine learning and quantum information processing. Participants have their understanding measured through Pre-Test and Post-Test. There are 8 multiple choices that are used as indicators of the success of knowledge transfer between the presenters and participants. Based on the answers of 174 participants who have taken the Post-Test, the percentage accuracy of participants's answers is 45%. With the majority of participants managed to answer 5 to 8 questions accurately. Overall, the public lecture is performed well as expected. Evaluation for the next activity is that students must first learn the basic understanding of the material to be delivered so that they can follow easily the lecture. Supporting devices are needed to improve audio quality for online participants and a wider venue for activities to accommodate more offline participants.

Abstract

Passive High Pass Filter will be discussed in this paper; the filter itself is a circuit that determines the amount of a certain frequency to be streamed and will reject frequencies that are not suitable. Meanwhile, a passive filter is an electrical circuit that can block intervals at certain signal frequencies to filter incoming signals. The benefit of passive filters is that they can be used at higher frequencies because their dimensions are larger than active filters. Measurement of the voltage gain in the Passive High Pass Filter circuit using laboratory methods using a simulation approach with the Circuit Wizard simulator or directly. The research method consists of two experimental scenarios that aim to compare the signals generated from stage I to stage V. For the scenario I, the simulation is carried out using the Circuit Wizard simulator. The capacitor is one of the reactive components that will offer a variety of resistance to different frequency signals based on a High Pass RC Filter circuit with a capacitor that has a high value of resistance to low frequencies or resistance to high-frequency transmissions will be minimal. The capacitor feature makes it resistant to low-frequency or DC signals, so only high-frequency signals can travel through the capacitor and block the path of low-frequency impulses. The high pass filter can attenuate or maintain low frequencies below the cut-off frequency while passing high signal frequencies or passing signals above them.
