Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of a realistic mathematics approach on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of elementary school students. It employed a quantitative research method with a non-equivalent control group design. The study's participants were fifth-grade students from various schools in Tanete Rilau District, Barru Regency. The sample was selected using simple random sampling. Data collection involved a mathematics problem-solving ability test. The analysis included descriptive and inferential techniques. Descriptive analysis revealed that students in the experimental class, taught using a realistic mathematics approach, demonstrated significantly better problem-solving skills compared to those in the control class. The average posttest score in the experimental class was 61.85, whereas it was 46.40 in the control class. Inferential analysis, including independent sample t-test and Manova test, indicated that learning with a realistic mathematics approach had a significant effect, as evidenced by a sig value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of the process skills approach using picture stories on reading comprehension and reading interest of Aisyiyah Muhammadiyah 3 Elementary School Makassar fifth-grade students. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a nonequivalent control group design. The research population was all fifth-grade students at Aisyiyah Muhammadiyah 3 Makassar Elementary School, totaling 30 students. Sampling was done through the saturated sampling technique. Data was collected through tests and questionnaires and then analyzed descriptively and differentially using the Independent T-Test and the Manova Test. Based on the study's results, it can be concluded that the process skills approach using picture stories positively affects reading comprehension and reading interest in fifth-grade students of Aisyiyah Muhammadiyah 3 Makassar Elementary School.

Abstract

Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan hasil belajar murid melalui penerapan ice Breaking di kelas 1 UPTD SDN 127 Inpres Moncongloe Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024. Salah satu sekolah yang menjadi tempat pelaksanaan Program Pemantapan Profesi Keguruan Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP) Unismuh Makassar adalah UPTD SDN 127 Inpres Moncongloe terletak di Desa Pamanjengan Kecamatan Moncongloe Kabupaten Maros. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam pelaksanaan Program Pemantapan Profesi Keguruan (P2K) yang diselenggarakan pada tanggal 10 Oktober – 02 November 2023. Dari hasil penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan Pengaplikasian teknik ice Breaking berupa gerak dan lagu, melatih konsentrasi, dan Audio Visual, efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran murid kelas 1 UPTD SDN 127 Inpres Moncongloe. Hal ini dibuktikan dalam hasil penelitian ini yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada hasil pembelajaran murid apabila digunakan teknik ice breaking.

Abstract

This research is about the effect of implementing the audio-visual assisted Quantum Teaching learning model on the motivation and social studies learning outcomes of students in class VI at SDN Pannyikokkang II, Makassar City. This research aims to determine the effect of implementing the audio-visual assisted Quantum Teaching learning model on motivation and learning outcomes. This research is quantitative with a quasi-experimental type of research. The population is all 35 class VI students, the sample is 19 class VIa students and 18 class VIb students. Data collection techniques are initial test (pretest), action (treatment) and final test (posttest). Data analysis techniques are descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. Abstract

This research is an experimental study which aims to determine the effect of the buddy reading method assisted by flipbook media on the interest and reading comprehension ability of class V group 3 Paraikatte students. The Buddy Reading method which is supported by flipbook media has significant benefits in increasing the interest and reading comprehension skills of class V students. This method can be a fun form of learning so that it can increase students' interest in reading. The research carried out was experimental research using an experimental class and a control class. Data collection techniques through test instruments, questionnaires and observations to determine the increase in students' reading comprehension skills and reading interest through the buddy reading method. In the experimental group, the average reading interest was 70,784. Meanwhile, after treatment or giving the buddy reading method to the experimental group, the average interest in reading was 83,039. The same thing in the assessment of reading comprehension ability in the Pretest was 52.235. Meanwhile, the average reading comprehension ability on the Posttest was 84.235. On average, after treatment with the buddy reading method, the average reading ability in the experimental group was higher than the reading ability in the control group. The average reading ability in the experimental group was 84.235, which is higher than the average reading ability in the control group of 67.750.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengevaluasi kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan bahan bacaan berbasis kearifan lokal Assamaturu berbantuan aplikasi Heyzine Flipbooks. Tujuan utama dalam penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dan manfaat nyata dalam pembelajaran khususnya dalam meningkatkan pemahaman membaca siswa kelas IV dalam konsteks kearifan lokal yang ada di Kabupaten Gowa. Secara akademis, Penelitian ini akan memberikan kontribusi pada literatur pendidikan dengan memperluas pemahaman tentang pengembangan bahan bacaan berbasis budaya lokal assamaturu dalam konteks pendidikan dasar. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model pengembangan 4- D (four D models). Adapun tahap-tahap model 4-D antara lain pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develop), dan penyebaran (disseminate). Adapun temuan penelitian ini berdasarkan analisis validitas yang di lakukan oleh pakar ahli atau validator 1 dan validator 2 diatas menunjukkan bahwa Instrumen penelitian dinyatakan valid dengan nilai rekapitulasi yaitu 3,7. Selanjutnya hasil analisis kepraktisan dengan data angket respon guru dan siswa menunjukkan bahwa bahan bacaan berbasis kearifan lokal Assamaturu berbantuan aplikasi Heyzine Flipbooks dinyatakan sangat praktis dengan nilai presentasi yaitu 92%. Kemudian hasil analisis keefektifan berdasarkan hasil tes pemahaman membaca yaitu secara keseluruhan rata-rata nilai siswa yaitu 87 dengan presentasi ketuntasan 90% dengan ini dapat disimpulan bahwa bahan bacaan berbasis keraifan lokal Assamaturu berbantuan aplikasi Heyzine Flipbooks sangat baik dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV di Sekolah Dasar. Dengan demikian bahan bacaan berbasis kearifan lokal Assamaturu berbantuan aplikasi Heyzine Flipbooks valid, praktis dan efektif dalam menigkatkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV.

Abstract

This research focuses on developing reading materials based on local Assamaturu wisdom from Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi Province using the Heyzine Flipbooks application. Specifically, the research objective is to develop a prototype of reading material based on local Assamaturu wisdom using the Heyzine Flipbooks application and test the validity, practicality and effectiveness of the reading material developed. The development model used in this research is the 4-D development model (four D models). The stages of the 4-D model include defining, designing, developing and disseminating. Validity analysis was carried out by two expert experts. The validation results show that the research instrument is declared valid with a recapitulation value of 3.7. Furthermore, the results of the practicality analysis which came from questionnaire responses from teachers and students showed that reading materials based on local Assamaturu wisdom assisted by the Heyzine Flipbooks application were declared very practical with a presentation score of 92%. Effectiveness analysis based on reading comprehension test results shows that the average student score is 87 with a completeness presentation of 90%. This value is in the very good category. Thus, it can be concluded that the reading materials developed based on local Assamaturu wisdom with the help of the Heyzine Flipbooks application can be used to improve the reading comprehension skills of class IV students in elementary schools.

Abstract

The research sample was two fifth grade students selected randomly from the group mentioned above. The instruments used to collect data were questionnaires and reading comprehension tests. Descriptive data analysis shows that there is an increase in students' interest and reading comprehension abilities after teaching reading comprehension using the Buddy Reading Method. The results of inferential statistical analysis using Manova showed that there were differences between the control and treatment classes regarding reading interest and reading comprehension ability, with mark scores. 0.000 < 0.05. Thus, the buddy reading method influences the reading interest and reading comprehension abilities of fifth grade students in this study.
