Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies employed by students of the Primary School Teacher Education Program (PGMI) at IAI Al-AZIS to complete their undergraduate thesis on time, as well as to identify the challenges they face. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles & Huberman’s interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that students’ success in completing their thesis on time was determined by effective time management, strong intrinsic motivation, intensive communication with academic supervisors, and institutional support. The obstacles encountered include internal factors such as laziness, procrastination, and limited academic writing skills, as well as external factors such as limited references, overloaded supervisor schedules, and economic constraints. To overcome these barriers, students applied adaptive strategies such as creating a writing timeline, utilizing peer study groups, and employing digital applications (Mendeley, Google Scholar) to accelerate the writing process. This study concludes that timely thesis completion is the result of a synergy between internal, external, and spiritual factors, and contributes to strengthening the concept of self-regulated learning while providing practical recommendations for students and higher education institutions. Abstract

Madrasah Ibtidaiyah is a basic educational institution that has an important role in shaping the quality of student learning. Education in the Ma'had Al-Zaytun environment is equipped with a boarding system, so that the dormitory manager has a big responsibility in guiding, educating, and motivating students to have high learning motivation. in this study is how the dormitory manager's efforts in motivating sixth grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'had Al-Zaytun to learn, as well as what are the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. The aim is to determine the efforts of dormitory managers in increasing student learning motivation and identifying the supporting and inhibiting factors faced. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects involved dormitory managers, homeroom teachers, room teachers, and sixth grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'had Al-Zaytun. Main problem The results of the study indicate that the dormitory manager's efforts in motivating student learning are by extending students' sleep hours, making the dormitory environment a comfortable and less conflict-prone place, conducting coaching and evaluation together with room teachers, and controlling student activities 24 hours a day through the WhatsApp application. Supporting factors include adequate facilities and infrastructure, a structured dormitory program, and collaboration between dormitory administrators in awarding prizes. Inhibiting factors include student laziness, negative peer influence, emotional issues, and a lack of interest in specific subjects. Thus, dormitory administrators have been shown to make a significant contribution to motivating students to learn, although challenges remain.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the school environment on the learning achievement of fourth-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma’had Al-Zaytun. The school environment studied includes physical aspects such as school facilities, classroom comfort, and cleanliness, as well as social aspects including teacher-student interaction and peer relationships. This research used a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, documentation, and focus group discussions. Data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that the school environment significantly impacts students’ motivation and learning achievement. A clean and well-maintained physical environment combined with supportive social interaction provides a conducive atmosphere that improves academic results, while less supportive environments hinder learning. The study recommends schools to maintain facilities and foster a positive academic climate to optimize students’ potential. Abstract

In the current era of development and progress of education, challenges andopportunities will continue to exist. And one of them is inclusive education. Thisstudy aims to dig deeper into the concept of inclusive education. Because inclusiveeducation emphasizes the importance of builing learning that supports equality forall students and the application of cultural values that applay in the area. Thisresearch method uses a qualitative descriptive method with literature studies ininclusive learning, equality and culture values will involve various elements andstrategies. Including the use of curriculum learning methods participation fromparents, third parties, and diverse assessments. By uniting all related element sothat teachers can create a learning atmosphere that supports equality for allstudents. And allows to bring out their potential.

Abstract

This article examines the use of trash bins in raising awareness of cleanliness among students taking environmental conservation courses. Awareness of cleanliness is the ability of a person to understand environmental cleanliness. Some students are still unaware, lack discipline in disposing of trash, and there is no trash bin sorting in the environment. The main issue in this study is to determine the implementation of trash bin provision in improving hygiene awareness in the 5th-grade class environment. The research method used is a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and observations of students, 5th-grade teachers at MI Ma’had Al-Zaytun, and the school principal. The research subjects consist of 4 students, 2 teachers from the 5th grade at MI Ma’had Al-Zaytun, and 1 school principal. The data collection techniques used by the researcher are in-depth interviews and observations of students, 5th-grade teachers at MI Ma’had Al-Zaytun, and the school principal. The research subjects consist of 4 students, 2 teachers Al-Zaytun, and the school principal. The research subjects consisted of 4 students, 2 fifth-grade teachers at MI Ma’had Al-Zaytun, and 1 school principal. The data collection techniques used by the researcher were interviews, observations, and documentary studies. The data analysis stages conducted by the researcher were data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The research results showed that hygiene awareness in the fifth-grade environment at The research results indicate that hygiene awareness in the 5th grade environment of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma’had Al-Zaytun already has good hygiene awareness, supported by the existence of a hygiene duty schedule,a reward system, as well as the role of teachers and the school principal in guidance and supervision. This study found that students understand the importance of maintaining cleanliness. Cleanliness evaluations are conducted regularly. Discipline challenges are addressed through habit formation and character development to foster environmental responsibility.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship and influence of the dormitory environment on the learning achievement of fourth-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Swasta Ma'had Al-Zaytun. A conducive learning environment is a crucial factor in educational success, and the boarding school system is believed to contribute positively to students' academic achievements through strict supervision, regular schedules, and controlled supporting facilities. This research employs a quantitative approach with a population of all fourth-grade students at MI Swasta Ma'had Al-Zaytun, totaling 158 students. A sample of 37 students was selected using purposive sampling based on criteria such as having lived in the dormitory for at least one semester and exhibiting a variety of learning achievement levels. Data was collected using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire to measure students' perceptions of the dormitory environment and learning achievements, which were tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis used Pearson Product Moment correlation and simple linear regression tests. The results showed a weak negative relationship between the dormitory environment and students' learning achievements, with a correlation coefficient of -0.318 (p = 0.055). This relationship is not significant at the 5% significance level, although it approaches significance at the 10% level. Regression analysis indicates a negative influence of the dormitory environment on learning achievement with a regression coefficient of -0.203 and an R Square value of 0.101, meaning the dormitory environment explains only 10.1% of the variation in learning achievement, while the remaining 89.9% is influenced by other factors such as study motivation, teaching methods, family support, and students' physical condition. Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of self-confidence among third-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma’had Al-Zaytun when speaking in front of the class. The research aimed to describe the strategies of implementing the storytelling method to enhance students’ self-confidence and to analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors in its application. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The participants consisted of teachers and third-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma’had Al-Zaytun. The findings revealed that storytelling created an interactive and enjoyable learning atmosphere, encouraging students to become more confident, courageous in performing, and able to express their ideas openly. Supporting factors included active teacher involvement, peer support, and a conducive classroom environment, while the inhibiting factors were limited time, varying student readiness, and the lack of diverse learning media. The study concludes that storytelling is an effective and applicable strategy to improve students’ self-confidence from an early stage, particularly in the context of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using ice breaking activities on students’ learning motivation in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects for fourth-grade students at MI Ma’had Al-Zaytun. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental Design, employing a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected through tests and questionnaires, with 44 fourth-grade students at MI Ma’had Al-Zaytun selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis was carried out through normality tests, homogeneity tests, and Paired Sample T-Test using SPSS version 23. The results showed that the Paired Sample T-Test value was 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating that there is an effect of using ice breaking activities on students’ learning motivation. The average score increased from 65.16 in the pretest to 75.59 in the posttest, with a mean difference of 10.43 points. In addition, the questionnaire results showed that 66.71% of respondents gave positive and enthusiastic responses toward the use of ice breaking, indicating that this method is able to create a more enjoyable and interactive learning atmosphere. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of ice breaking activities can be applied in IPAS learning for fourth-grade students at MI Ma’had Al-Zaytun, as it has a positive effect on students’ learning motivation. Abstract

The research is motivated by the importance of instilling an attitude of tolerance in elementary school students, the reality in the field shows that even though students have known tolerance, problems such as egocentric attitudes are still found in the classroom, Therefore, this study aims to describe the role of teachers and their application in instilling an attitude of tolerance to grade IV students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'had Al-Zaytun. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The subjects of the study were teachers and fourth grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'had Al-Zaytun, Data was obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. To strengthen the analysis, this study refers to James A. Banks' multicultural education theory and Gordon Allport's contact hypothesis which is relevant to instilling the value of tolerance through equality in opinion. The results of the study show that teachers have a central role in instilling tolerance through various approaches. As a learning resource and educator, teachers emphasize the importance of respecting differences and respecting the opinions of others. As facilitators, teachers create group discussion spaces to get students used to working together and resolving differences democratically. In their role as classroom managers, teachers apply discipline rules, as well as an educational reward and punishment system. Keywords: Teacher’s role, tolerance attitude, students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' difficulties in managing time between academic learning activities and dormitory activities at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma’had Al-Zaytun. Time management is an essential skill for students in boarding school systems because they are required to balance structured academic and non-academic activities. However, not all students have adequate time management skills, which may affect their learning readiness and academic performance. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving fifth-grade students, homeroom teachers, and dormitory supervisors. The results showed that students experienced several difficulties, including limited ability to divide time effectively, difficulty determining activity priorities, physical fatigue due to dense daily schedules, and limited use of free time for independent learning. These difficulties were influenced by internal factors such as learning motivation and self-regulation ability, as well as external factors such as structured dormitory schedules and environmental demands. Students attempted to overcome these challenges by setting priorities, utilizing spare time for studying, and seeking guidance from dormitory supervisors. The study concludes that time management skills play an important role in supporting students’ academic readiness and character development in boarding school environments. Therefore, strengthening time management guidance through structured mentoring and character education programs is necessary to support students’ academic and personal development.
