Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini didasari oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diberikan pembelajaran menggunakan media visual dan permainan ular tangga dengan yang diberikan pembelajaran konvensional pada materi zat adiktif dan psikotropika kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Pontianak dan untuk mengetahui besar pengaruh penggunaan media visual dan permainan ular tangga terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi zat adiktif dan psikotropika kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Pontianak. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Eksperimental Design dengan rancangan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIIA dan VIIID yang ditentukan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Berdasarkan analisis data dengan uji Mann-Whitney, menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang diberikan pembelajaran menggunakan media visual dan permainan ular tangga dengan yang diberikan pembelajaran konvensional. Penggunaan media visual dan permainan ular tangga memberikan pengaruh sebesar 47,98% terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada materi zat adiktif dan psikotropika.   Kata kunci: Media visual, permainan ular tangga, dan hasil belajar. Abstrac: This study was based on the lack of student learning outcomes. This study was conducted to determine the differences in learning outcomes of students who are learning using visual media and game of snakes and ladders with  students who take conventional learning in the material addictive and psychotropic class VIII SMP Negeri 9 Pontianak and to determine the influence the use of visual media and game snakes and ladders on student learning results in addictive and psychotropic substances materials in Junior High School eighth grade 9 Pontianak. This type of research is a Quasi-Experimental Design with design Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The samples were VIIIA and VIIID grade students determined using random sampling techniques. Based on data analysis with the Mann-Whitney test, shows that there are differences in learning outcomes between students who are given the learning using visual media and game of snakes and ladders with a student who given conventional learning. The use of visual media and game of snakes and ladders influenced by 47.98% against an increase in student learning outcomes in material addictive and psychotropic substances. This study was based on the lack of student learning outcomes. Keywords: visual media, game of snakes and ladders, and learning outcomes.

Abstract

AbstractThe aims of this study were whether was a significantdifferenceof students achievement, to describestudentresponse and to determine effect of mind mapbookletassistedNHT learningmodelon enviromental pollution material. This research used quasi experimental with Nonequivalent Control Group Design.Population in this study were VII class SMPN 11 Pontianak. The research sample were VII D class control andVII E class experimental. Achievement test, questionnaire,observation sheet and interview guidelineswere used to collect data.Achievement were analyzed using Mann Whitney U- test. This indicated that there were a significant difference between studentsachievementtaught using mind mapbookletassistedNHT learningmodeland conventional learning  model. The average percentage of responsetowardmind map booklet was 86,77 which categorized as very high. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan perbedaan partisipasi dan hasil belajar antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) dan metode konvensional serta besarnya pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS terhadap hasil belajar materi redoks kelas X di SMA Santo Fransiskus Asisi Pontianak. Penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan nonequivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas X E  sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas X D sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diperoleh dengan teknik purpossive sampling. Partisipasi dianalisis menggunakan Independent Samples T-test dan hasil belajar menggunakan U-Mann Whitney. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan partisipasi dan  hasil belajar antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dan metode konvensional. Pembelajaran model kooperatif tipe TPS memberikan pengaruh sebesar 26.11 % terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa.   Kata kunci: Think Pair share, partisipasi, hasil belajar, redoks Abstract: Purposes of this research were to determine differences of participation and learning outcomes beetwen students were taught using TPS Cooperative learning model and conventional method and effect of applying TPS Cooperative learning model toward learning outcomes redox materials X Grade in High School of St. Francis of Assisi Pontianak. Quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design was used as research method. The sample were students X E as control class and X D as experimental class that were determined with purpossive sampling technique. Participation were analyzed using Independent Samples T-test and outcomes learning using U-Mann Whitney. The result of data analysis showed that there were differences participation and learning outcomes beetwen students were taught using cooperatif learning model TPS type and conventional method. Abstract

 AbstractLaboratory management comprehension in school was very important for headmaster, the chemical teacher, and laboratory staff. This study aims was to describe chemical laboratory management SMA Negeri 8 and SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak. The method of the research was using descriptive research with technique of collecting data were direct observation, indirect observation, and documentation technique. The data collection tool was using observation, questionnaire, and documentation.  The result of this research showed that the management of the chemistry laboratory from planning, organizing, implementating, and controlling get into the category very well based on Guttman scale. The chemistry laboratory in both  schools have not reached minimum standard of chemistry laboratory equipment. Keywords: laboratory management, planning, organizing, implementating, controlling

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this research was to improve the result of student’s learning on the eleventh science grade of SMA Negeri 5 Singkawang in colloid material through Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectualy (SAVI) learning model. The form of this research was Classroom Action Reseacrh (CAR). Subject of this research 19 students on the eleventh grade of science of  SMA Negeri 5 Singkawang. Observation sheet and test were used as instrument of research. Before using the instrument, it was tested it’s validity and realibility. The validity used Gregory test and the realibility used Alpha Chronbach formula. Based on the result of validity for each first cycle which was qualified in high category and the realibility in first cycle and second cycle were r11 =0.5215 which was in medium category and r11= 0.225 was in low category. The action in this research consisted of two cycles and serial cycles consist of four phases which are planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The research result showed that there were improvement toward students learning result by implementing SAVI learning model. The percentage of students learning result in first cycle and second cycle were 57.89% and 78.94% respectively.  Keyword: classroom action research, learning result, SAVI, colloid

Abstract

AbstrackThe purpose of this study was to determine difference of science process skills of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak students before and after being taught through 5E learning cycle model on acid base material. This study was conducted in form of pre experimental design. One group pretest?posttest design was applied as research design. Independent variables were lesson before and after being taught through 5E learning cycle model. Dependent variable was science process skills. The sample in this research was class XI  SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak. To collect data, assessment technique was applied and achievement test was used to get data. Data were analyzed by means of inferential and descriptive statistic. Result of statistic showed P-value = 0,000 < ? = 0.05 which means that there was a significant difference of student science process skills before and after being taught through 5E learning cycle model on acid base material.   Keywords: Learning Cycle Model 5E, Science Process Skills, Acid Base Material

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian quasi eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk menentukan: 1) perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang diajar dengan model Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) dengan siswa yang diajar dengan pembelajaran konvensional, 2) besar pengaruh model TAI pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIA 1 (n = 27) sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA 2 (n = 26) sebagai kelas kontrol. Alat pengumpul data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes hasil belajar dan wawancara. Berdasarkan analisis data menggunakan uji U-Mann Whitney diketahui bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil yang signifikan (Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,04 < 0,05) antara siswa yang diajar dengan model TAI dan siswa yang diajar dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil perhitungan effect size adalah 0,55 yang berarti model TAI memberikan kontribusi pengaruh sebesar 20,88% terhadap hasil belajar siswa (tergolong sedang). Kata kunci: Team assisted individualization, hasil belajar, kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. Abstract: This quasi experiment research was aimed to determine: 1) the differences in learning outcomes between students who were taught using Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) and students who were taught using conventional learning, 2) the effect of TAI model in the solubility and solubility product constants (Ksp) subject on students’ learning outcome. The samples of this research were XI MIA 1 (n=27) as experiment class and XI MIA 2 (n=26) as control class. The data collection tools were the learning outcomes test and interview guideline. The result of data analysis using the Mann-Whitney U test was shows that there was a significant difference in the results (Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.04 <0.05) between the students who were taught using TAI model and students who were taught using conventional learning. The result of the calculation of effect size was 0.55  which meant TAI model had 20.88% influence on student learning outcomes (moderate classified). Abstract

                         AbstractThe purpose of this study was to describe science process skills and cause of the low of student science process skill on acid-base material. The form of this study was descriptive with study case method. The subjects were 30 students of class XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Raya. According to data analysis, students were  very skilled in  observing and grouping aspects which score were 100% and 90% respectively. Students was skilled at making predictions aspects there which score was 64.16%. Students was less skilled in data analysis and concluding aspects which score were 48.33% and 35.83% respectively. Cause of the low of student science process skill was students have difficulties as follows (a) they didn’t know to write prediction, didn’t know to investigate, and less confidence with their opinion; (b) didn’t read the question correctly; (c) unaccustomed to participate in working group reports in groups activities and can’t explain based on the grid; And (d) unaccustomed to make conclusion. Keywords: Science Process Skills, Acid Base Material

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan perbedaan pemahaman konsep antara siswa yang menggunakan model problem based instruction (PBI) dengan siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional pada pembelajaran materi redoks dan besarnya pengaruh penggunaan model  PBI terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi redoks. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIPA 1 dan X MIPA 2 MAN 2 Pontianak. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan penelitian “nonequivalent control group design”. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan terdiri dari tes pemahaman konsep yang terdiri dari pretest dan posttest. Berdasarkan analisis statistik dengan uji U-Mann Whitney diperoleh Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep antara siswa yang menggunakan model PBI  dengan siswa yang menggunakan model konvensional. Model PBI juga memberikan pengaruh sebesar 33,89% terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa. In addition to this study, the purpose was also to determine the extent of effect of PBI model to conceptual understanding of students. Two classes from grade X MAN 2 Pontianak participated in this study. Non equivalent control group design of quasi-experimental was the study design. The conceptual understanding test and interview guideline were used to collect data. According to statistical analysis using U-Mann Whitney test, it could be stated that Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) amount 0,000 < 0,05 which means there were differences between conceptual understanding of students who were taught by PBI model and conventional learning model. Abstract

AbstractThis aims of this study were to determine whether there was a significant different of student achievement, determine how much influence of direct instruction models assisted by modelling the way strategy toward student achievement, determine the correlation between response and student achievement of experiment class and control class. This study used quasy experimental research with pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The sample of this research were X B as experimental class which taught using direct instruction models through modelling the way strategy and X C as control class wich taught using conventional method. Achievement test, questionnaire response, observasion sheet and interview guidelines ware used as the research instrument. According to independent-t test toward student achievement data, there was no significant difference of student achievement between those clasess (Asym.sig.(2-tailed) of 0,342). Learning using direct instruction models through modelling the way strategy gave 14,80% effect on improving student achievemen influenced by teacher. According to Person Correlation, there was no correlation between response and student achievement of control class (Sig.(2-tailed) of 0,306). According to Kendall’s Correlation, there was no correlation between response and student achievement of experiment class (Sig.(2-tailed) of 0.398). Keyword: Direct Instruction, Modeling The Way, Hydrocarbon.
