Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan motivasi belajar siswa di kelas XI IPA MA Ushuluddin Singkawang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre-Experimental Design dengan desain One-Group Pretest-Postest Design. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes dan angket. Dari hasil uji hipotesis (uji-t) diperoleh thitung sebesar 15,02 dengan taraf signifikan ( = 5% diperoleh ttabel sebesar 1,703. Karena thitung 15,02 > ttabel 1,703, maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Artinya terdapat perbedaan keterampilan proses sains sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model discovery learning. Berdasarkan penentuan effect size, model discovery learning memberikan pengaruh terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa sebesar 49,74%. Model discovery learning juga memberikan pengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dengan motivasi sangat kuat dan motivasi kuat berturut-turut adalah 7% dan 93%. Kata kunci: discovery learning, keterampilan proses sains, motivasi belajar  Abstract: This study was aimed to determine the effect of discovery learning model in influencing science process skills and learning motivation of class XI IPA MA Ushuluddin Singkawang. Pre-Experimental Design through One-Group Pretest Posttest Design was used as research method. The data were collected using test and questionnaire. From the results of hypothesis test (t-test) obtained tamounted to 15.02 with significance level (?) = 5% was obtained ttabel 1.703. Since tamounted 15.02 > ttabel 1.703, then H0 rejected and Ha accepted. This means that there was a difference science process skills before and after using of discovery learning model. Based on the determination of  effect size, discovery learning model influenced on students? science process skills of 49.74%. Discovery learning model was giving influence about students? learning motivation by stronger motivation and strong motivation robust respectively 7% and 93%.   Keywords : discovery learning, science process skills, learning motivation

Abstract

                       AbstractThis research was motivated by the lack of motivation and study achievements in electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution material in X class of Indonesia Muda Senior High School. The purpose of this study to determinate whether there a significant differencesof achievements and motivations between students before and after treatment through Project Based Learning (PjBL). To achieve them, a number of thirty students were asked to participate in the study. According to one group pre-test and post-test research design, the students were given a pretest, a posttest, and a questionnaire. As a set of data collection tools, pretest and posttest were used to measure achievement meanwhile questionnaire was used to measure motivations. Analysis data of pretest and posttest through paired sample T-test, and data of questionnaire through T-one sample test. Showed that P-value were 0,000 and 0,000 respectively. In conclusion, there a significant differencesat achievements and motivations before and after treatment used the Project Based Learning (PjBL).Keywords:Electrolyte and Non-Electrolyte Solutions, Motivation, Project Based Learning, Study Achievements

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan ada tidaknya perbedaan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi koloid, antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan model guided discovery dengan model pembelajaran konvensional dan besarnya pengaruh model tersebut terhadap pemahaman konsep. Sampel dipilih berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling yaitu kelas XI IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan yang digunakan adalah nonequivalent control group design. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes kognitif dan lembar observasi. Berdasarkan hasil uji U-Mann Whitney diperoleh perbedaan pemahaman konsep antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan model guided discovery dengan menggunakan model konvensional dengan rata-rata hasil tes kognitif berturut-turut 77,07 dan 63,25. Model guided discovery juga memberikan pengaruh sebesar 43,45% terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa.   Kata Kunci : guided discovery, pemahaman konsep, koloid Abstract: This research aims to know differences in student’s understanding of concept on material coloid, between students who are taught by using guided discovery and conventional models and the influence of this model to understanding the concept. Sample was choosen by purposive sampling technique, XI IPA 1 as the experiment class and XI IPA 2 as control class. The research form used was quasi experimental and the research design that used is a non equivalent control group design. The tool for collecting data is cognitive test and observation paper. The result of the U-Mann Whitney we can show the differences understanding of concept between students who are taught by using guided discovery and conventional models with average value of cognitive test in 77,07 and 63,25. The guided discovery model is also an impact of 43,45% of the student's understanding of the concept.   Keywords: guided discovery, understanding of concept, coloid.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan: 1) perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diajari model pembelajaran POE (predict-observe-explain) dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada materi koloid, 2) pengaruh model pembelajaran POE (predict-observe-explain) terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMA 1 Muhammadiyah 1 pontianak pada materi koloid. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA 1 sebagai kelas kontrol yang diperoleh dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Alat Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes hasil belajar dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil olahan data, hasil rata-rata skor posttest kelas ekperimen 74,36 dan hasil rata-rata skor posttest kelas kontol 67,03. Berdasarkan  uji U-Mann Whitney, diperoleh Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) = 0,023 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa kelas kontrol dan siswa kelas eksperimen pada materi koloid. Hasil perhitungan effect size adalah 0,39 yang berarti model POE (predict-observe-explain) memberikan pengaruh sebesar 18,79% terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Abstract: The aims of this research were to determine: 1) the differences of learning outcomes between students who were taught using POE (predict-observe-explain)  model and conventional learning colloidal subject, 2) the effect of POE (predict-observe-explain) model toward student learning outcomes colloidal subject. The from of research was a quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. Classes of XI MIA 3 as experiment and MIA 1 as control were selected by cluster random sampling technique. Achievement test and interview was used to collect data. According to data analysis, average score of experiment and control classes were 74.36 and 67.36 respectively. According to U-Mann Withney test, the value of student of Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) was 0.023 which meant that there was a difference in learning outcome between the control class and experimental class colloidal subject. The result of effect size was 0.39 which meant POE (predict-observe-explain) model had of 18.79% influenced toward student learning outcomes improvement. Abstract

AbstractThe main goal of this study was to describe the conceptual understanding and several causes of learning difficulties of students in MAN 2 Pontianak. Subjects in this study were students of class XI MIPA 1 which consists of 40 people. The form of this research were descriptive research with case study research type. The instruments used were essay test concept comprehension and interview. The data analysis technique used were the assessment of concept comprehension test and interview. The result of this study indicated that  percentage of students' understanding level of MAN 2 Pontianak concept on acidic bases with very good category, good, enough, less and very less shows the percentage of 10%, 33%, 25%, 23% and 10%. There were several causes of learning difficulties that the students had such as lack of self-motivation, many extracurricular, teaching methods provided by the teacher are not attractive and students didn’t study at home. Keywords: Conceptual Understanding, Acid-Base, Several Causes of Learning Difficulties

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskipsikan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model Pembelajaran Memori dan model Pembelajaran Konvensional di kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Singkawang. Sampel dipilih berdasarkan teknik random sampling. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian eksperimen. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Exsperimental Design dengan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Nonrandomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran memori dengan siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran memori pada materi koloid di SMA Negeri 1 Singkawang memberikan pengaruh sebesar 34,85% terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran Memori, Hasil Belajar, Koloid Abstract: The objective of this research was to know and to describe students learning result using Memory Based Learning Model and Conventional Learning Model at Eleventh Grade students of SMAN 1 Singkawang. The sample was chosen using random sampling technique. The type of this research was experimental research. The form of this research was Quasi Experimental Design with the research plan was Nonrandomized Control Group Pretest-posttest design. The tool of data collecting were test of learning result and interview guidance. This Research findings showed that there was different learning result between the students who were taught using memory based learning model and the students who were taught using conventional learning model. Learning using memory based learning model on Colloid material at SMAN 1 Singkawang gave 34,85% effect to the increasing of students learning result. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan perbedaan hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah diajarkan pembelajaran menggunakan metode praktikum menggunakan bahan kehidupan sehari-hari. Bentuk penelitian yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian pre-experimental design dengan rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Berdasarkan analisis dengan menggunakan uji T Paired (α = 0,05) diperoleh nilai t hitung 3,85 dengan keputuan Ho ditolak yang berarti terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan pengaruh metode praktikum menggunakan bahan kehidupan sehari-hari dalam materi laju reaksi pada siswa kelas XI IPA MAN Mempawah. Perhitungan effect size pembelajaran menggunakan metode praktikum menggunakan bahan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sebesar 1,59 dengan pengaruh sebesar 44,41% terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada materi laju reaksi kelas XI IPA MAN Mempawah.   Kata kunci : Pembelajaran metode praktikum Abstract: The purpose of this research is to determine the difference of the students’ learning outcomes before and after being taught using practical learning method using daily life materials. The from of the research is a pre-experimentalreserch with one group pretest –posttest design. Based on the T paired test analysis (α = 0,05), it was obtained that the T value 3,85. It means the initial hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and there is a difference on the students’ learning outcomes before and after being thaught using practical learning method of using daily life material on the raction rate material to the eleventh grade student of science class of MAN Mempawah. The effect size of the use of practical learning method using daily life materials is 1,59. The influence of treatment is 44,41%. The improvement of students’ learning outcomes on the reaction rate material to the eleventh grade students of science class of MAN Mempawah. Keyword          : .Practical learning method

Abstract

AbstractThe aims of this study were to describe the ability and factors affecting students? conceptual understanding on material of reaction rate. The method of this research was descriptive research. The subjects in this study were 27 students of class XI IPA SMAS Kristen Setia Putussibau. Test of conceptual understanding and interviews guidelines were used to collect the data. The results showed that the percentage of describing the meaning of the reaction rate, determining the reaction order, determining the rate equation, determining the reaction rate constant, determining the price of the reaction rate and explaining the factors that effect the reaction rate based on successive collision theory were 31%, 45%, 41%, 22%, 24%, and 35% respectively. According to interviews, there were two factors that affect students conceptual understanding wich are individual factors were consist of exercise intelligence and motivation, and the social factors were consist of teachers and teaching methods, tools used in learning and family. Social factors become the largest average percentage of students conceptual understanding affect as many as 42%.Keywords: Description, Concept understanding, The reaction rate, Social factors

Abstract

Abstract: The main goal of this study was to improve student’s activity and achievement of reaction rate Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) learning model. A two cycles of classroom action research was conducted. A total of 30 science class students of SMAN 1 Jawai participated in this study. Achievement test, observation sheet, and interview guidelines were used to collect data. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Students would be identified to have improvement  on visual, and verbal activity and achievement when they obtained score of 75, 25 and 60 respectively. The result showed that students have pass grade point do to the improvements they made. Those improvements were improve on visual activity from 56,6% to 76,6%, verbal activity from 10% to 26,6% and achievement from 23,3% to 83,3% respectively.  Those result indicated that the cooperative learning model type TAI give an positive effect toward student learning activity and achievetment.Keywords: Team Assisted Individualization (TAI), reaction rate, activity and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to describe the student’ understanding of law of Fundamental chemistry concept after learning using tools developed through 5E learning cycle model. Designing of learning tools adopted Dick and Carey model. Learning tools was tested on students PGMIPAU FKIP Untan first half of 2014. This type of study was Research and Development. Instruments in this study were the achievement test, observation sheets of lesson plan implementation and observation sheets of barriers in learning. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The findings of the study were: tools developed had feasible validity, implementation of lesson plan was very good, and students' understanding of law of fundamental chemistry concepts was improved that can be seen from the normalized gain scores. It was concluded that student’ learning outcomes after implementing 5E learning cycle model on the law of fundamental chemistry has increased.
