Abstract

Pemerintah Indonesia memandang penting keberadaan para pelaku UMKM dengan melakukan berbagai upaya-upaya dalam meningkatkan daya saing UMKM. Sebagai kota industri, jumlah UMKM di Kota Batam berkembang cukup pesat akan tetapi banyak usaha yang terdampak akibat pandemi selama dua tahun belakangan ini. Sebagai salah satu usaha dalam mengurangi dampak tersebut dari sisi akademisi yaitu dengan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat serta penelitian. Salah satu hasil penelitian terkait yaitu penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Hati dan Anishafitri tahun 2021 tentang analisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pendapatan UMKM selama pandemi. Hasil dari penelitian tersebut dilanjutkan dengan mengadakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini mengenai Peningkatan Kinerja UMKM Bidang Manufaktur Melalui Pendampingan dan Edukasi Pengelolaan Persediaan Bahan Baku. Topik pengabdian yang diajukan disesuaikan dengan roadmap pusat kajian UMKM, gender dan disabilitas. Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini juga akan dikolaborasikan dengan PBL mata kuliah Logistik & Rantai Pasok, Pergudangan & Persediaan, K3 & Lingkungan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dalam beberapa tahap yang dimulai dari diskusi dengan pelaku UMKM terkait dengan kebutuhan mereka mengenai sistem pengelolaan persediaan bahan baku serta akan dilaksanakan pula pemberian edukasi dan pendampingan dengan menggunakan video-video edukasi yang dikembangkan dan pelaksanaan webinar bersama para pelaku UMKM di Kota Batam.

Abstract

Saat ini penting bagi masyarakat desa dalam memanfaatkan bahan pangan lokal menjadi olahan kreatif yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan potensi usaha rumahan serta meningkatkan kesejahtraan masyarakat desa. Inovasi diversifikasi misalnya dilakukan dengan cara mengolah ikan lele yang merupakan pangan lokal di Desa Pucak menjadi makanan dimsum. Selain itu, juga sebagai pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi makanan sehari – hari rumah tangga dalam upaya pencegahan stunting. Melalui kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat pemula (PMP) kemitraan Karang Taruna di Desa Pucak, Kabupaten Maros, Sulawesi Selatan dilakukan dengan metode pelatihan berstruktur dipadukan juga dengan pengembangan website portal Karang Taruna. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah bahwa pelatihan mengolah ikan lele menjadi olahan makanan laiinya cukup diminati, Karena selain diolah menjadi makanan dimsum juga dapat diolah menjadi bakso, nugget dan variasi makanan lainnya sehingga cukup digemari bagi sebahagian masyarakat yang sudah bosan menkomsumsi ikan lele secara langsung. Selanjutnya pengembangan website Karang Taruna juga dapat memudahkan mitra Karang Taruna dalam menyusun informasi profil organisasi sekaligus melakukan promosi produk Karang Taruna. Adapun tingkat pengetahuan peserta mitra Karang Taruna setelah dilaksanakan pelatihan pembuatan dimsum dari bahan ikan lele mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan sebesar 32,0 %

Abstract

Berdasarkan analisis situasi, ditemukan permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra, yakni rendahnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang manfaat daun sirsak untuk pencegahan penyakit Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) dan pengendalian hipertensi. Selain itu, belum adanya pelatihan serta teknologi pengolahan yang memadai menyebabkan potensi ekonomi daun sirsak belum tergarap secara optimal. Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu PKK Desa Bonto Bunga, dalam mengolah daun sirsak menjadi obat nyamuk alami dan teh herbal yang berkhasiat untuk pencegahan DBD dan pengendalian hipertensi untuk mewujudkan kemandirian keluarga sehat dan produktif. Metode yang digunakan meliputi edukasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, serta pendampingan dan evaluasi. Tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan dirancang secara sistematis mulai dari persiapan hingga pengemasan dan pemasaran produk. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan mitra mengenai pencegahan demam berdarah dengue dan pengendalian diabetes melitus dengan rata rata kenaikan >75%, Selain itu mitra menjadi tahu tentang khasiat daun sirsak sebagai obat nyamuk alami yang ramah lingkungan dan teh herbal daun sirsak untuk meningkatkan derajat kesehatan Masyarakat, meningkatkan keterampilan pengolahan daun sirsak menjadi produk kesehatan, tersedianya inovasi teknologi produksi pengolahan daun sirsak sehingga menciptakan peluang usaha berbasis potensi lokal yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Background: Diarrhea is still a major problem in developing countries, including Indonesia Aim: The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between latrine ownership and the incidence of diarrhea in Katoang Hamlet Method: The type of research used is analytical observational with a cross sectional study approach. This research was conducted in Katoang Hamlet, Kab. Maros. The total sample in this study was 71 families using total sampling. The data collection technique was carried out through the interview method using a questionnaire sheet. Results: Based on the results of the Chi-Square analysis test, a significant value (p-value) = 0.003 was obtained, where the p-value was >0.05, meaning there was a significant relationship between latrine ownership and the incidence of diarrhea in Katoang Hamlet, Bontomatinggi Village. Conclusion: It is hoped that the community will increase their ownership of healthy toilets to avoid diarrhea and that the local government will regularly provide education regarding the importance of owning healthy toilets.

Abstract

Socialization and education regarding customs regulations for small entrepreneurs will be very useful for the development of Small Businesses, which is very important in the current conditions, where the Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on the national economy, especially for Batam. This service leads to socialization and education of regulations related to customs for small entrepreneurs. This community service activity aims to provide socialization and education related to customs regulations for micro, small and medium enterprises in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The target of this service is SMEs in Batam. The purpose of this service is to: 1. Provide socialization of customs regulations for small entrepreneurs in Batam. 2. Provide education on customs regulations for small entrepreneurs in Batam. 3. Know the understanding of small entrepreneurs about customs regulations that encourage exports for small entrepreneurs and understand the understanding of shipping regulations. The method that will be implemented is by conducting online training, providing pocket books and motion graphics videos. The expected result is the existence of pocket books and motion graphics videos that can be accessed by small business actors, MSMEs, companies and the community. This service is one of the implementations of Project-Based Learning for courses in international trade law and taxation as well as international trade.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of corporate risk, which consists of business risk, financial risk, and market risk variables on firm value in consumer goods industry sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014-2018. The analytical method used in this study is multiple regression analysis of panel data models using the E-viwes 11 analysis tool. The data used in this study are secondary data consisting of annual financial reports and stock prices for the years 2014-2018 for each research variable. . The results of this study indicate that partially the market risk variable has a positive and significant effect on the firm value variable. Meanwhile, partially the business risk and financial risk variables have a positive and insignificant influence on the firm value variable. Furthermore, simultaneously it shows that the variables business risk, financial risk and market risk have a positive and significant influence on the variable firm value.

Abstract

This qualitative inquiry delves into the intricate landscape of financial decision-making within corporations, aiming to shed light on leverage decisions, market efficiency dynamics, and financial policy implications. Employing thematic analysis, this study systematically reviews existing literature from academic databases, including PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. The research synthesizes insights from peer-reviewed articles, books, and reports published within the past decade, employing rigorous inclusion and exclusion criteria to ensure relevance and credibility. The findings underscore the multifaceted nature of leverage decisions, revealing a complex interplay of factors such as tax policies, industry norms, and growth opportunities. Moreover, the significance of market efficiency in financial decision-making is confirmed, despite challenges to the assumptions of the efficient market hypothesis posed by anomalies in stock returns and behavioral biases among investors. Additionally, financial policy implications emerge as pivotal in guiding corporate operations, encompassing dividend policy, capital structure decisions, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations. The study advocates for a holistic understanding of financial decision-making processes, integrating insights from finance, economics, and sustainability. From a managerial perspective, the findings offer actionable insights for practitioners, emphasizing the importance of contextual factors, behavioral insights, and effective governance mechanisms in navigating the complexities of corporate finance. This research contributes to advancing knowledge in the field of corporate finance and provides guidance for practitioners, policymakers, and researchers in enhancing financial decision-making practices.

Abstract

Inventory is merchandise owned by a company to be resold or processed first and then sold. Inventory management is a normal problem in trading companies. Inventory management is an important problem faced by companies, especially trading companies, therefore inventory must be managed as well as possible. Therefore, in carrying out its business activities, companies need to implement inventory accounting systems and procedures that reflect the elements of internal control. The purpose of this research is to determine whether the method of recording merchandise inventory applied at the Tripical Trift Store is in accordance with SAK EMKM. The data collection methods used were interviews, observation, documentation and literature study. The analysis method uses a qualitative descriptive method. From the research results, the recording of merchandise inventory carried out at the Tropical Trift Store is still simple in relation to the inventory of merchandise. namely, it is not in accordance with the existing recording system in SAK EMKM due to the lack of socialization and understanding of the system.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the lived experiences of alumni from SMK Mambaul Ulum Sukowono in navigating the dynamics of the digital economy through their engagement in the gig economy. The central research problem lies in how their participation is shaped by digital skill gaps, limited institutional support, and the absence of legal protection within platform-based work environments. Using a qualitative case study approach under the interpretivist paradigm, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis involving 25 alumni engaged in various forms of gig work, such as ride-hailing, graphic design, and online selling. Findings reveal that while alumni are primarily motivated by time flexibility and immediate income, they also face significant challenges including income instability, algorithmic dependency, and emotional strain. The study concludes that vocational curriculum reform and targeted policy interventions are crucial to support economic resilience and youth labor welfare in the digital era.

Abstract

The Human Development Index (HDI) provides a holistic measure of human development in a country or locality. This study aims to identify factors correlated with changes in the Human Development Index and analyze changes in the distribution of the Human Development Index in Aceh Province from 2012 to 2022. Apart from the Human Development Index as the variable used in this study, five variables are used in this study as indicators: Life Expectancy, Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), Per Capita Expenditure, Average Years of Schooling, and Expected Years of Schooling as socioeconomic factors. This research uses an ecological study design. Data was sourced from the "Aceh in Figures" report by the Central Bureau of Statistics of Aceh Province. The statistical methods used were descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk test for normality, the Spearman test for correlation analysis, the Wilcoxon one-sample test for data distribution, and the Kruskal-Wallis test to compare distributions. Based on the correlation analysis, the study revealed that the five socioeconomic variables tested showed a significant positive correlation with changes in the HDI in Aceh Province (p-value < 0.05). In addition, the difference analysis showed a significantly different distribution of HDI across the years studied (p-value < 0.05), with a pattern of increasing HDI observed from the beginning to the end of the study period. The recommended based on finding of the study is policymakers and stakeholders focus on strategies that enhance the positive correlates identified Finally, these results provide important and structured insights into the role of factors in HDI change.
