Abstract

Diabetic ulcers are one of the chronic complications of diabetes mellitus that can lead to amputation if not treated properly. Modern wound care techniques have been widely used as a more effective approach to accelerate wound healing. Morbidity after ulceration is high, with a recurrence rate of 65% at 3–5 years, a lifetime incidence of lower extremity amputation of 20%, and a 5-year mortality rate of 50–70%.The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of modern wound care techniques in diabetic ulcer patients in modern wound care practices. The study design used a pre-experimental study with a one group pre-post test design, with a population of 34 respondents, using purposive sampling. Bivariate analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon test. Of the 34 respondents, before (Pre-Test) 23 (67.6%) respondents were in stage 3 of diabetic ulcers and after (Post-Test) 22 (64.7%) respondents were in stage 2. The statistical test results using the Wilcokson test obtained a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05), so it was concluded that there was an effect of modern wound care techniques on the healing of diabetic ulcer in modern wound care practices in Giri Purno Village, Tebo Regency, Jambi in 2024. Primary health centers are expected to develop modern wound care services, provide training for health workers, and educate the community on the prevention of diabetic ulcers.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on all service industries, specifically hospitality, which has become increasingly competitive. Therefore, innovation and service improvement are needed to provide the best service for consumers by determining the voice behavior of their employees. This study examines the effect of transformational leadership on employee voice behavior, specifically frontline at hotels in Central Java. The mediating variables consisting of work and engagement were used to clarify the mechanism related to the effect of transformational leadership on voice behavior. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling, namely by using the criteria of frontline employees who have worked for at least 1 year. Data were collected from 216 frontline employers at hotels and analyzed using the SEM PLS. The result showed that transformational leadership and work engagement can indirectly promote employee voice behavior. Furthermore, the meaning of work can promote voice behavior with a longer mechanism through work engagement.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine how the impact of product quality and the presence of a halal label affect consumer purchasing choices, with trust playing a mediating role. The study focused on Scarlett's Instagram followers. The study explored both direct and indirect effects. This research falls under the category of explanatory research, aiming to elucidate causal relationships between variables through hypothesis testing. The study employed a quantitative approach utilizing SmartPLS (Partial Least Square) software version 3.0. Two sub-models were utilized: the measurement model (outer model) and the structural model (inner model). The sampling method employed was accidental, with 97 respondents chosen using the Cochran formula. The direct impact analysis revealed that product quality significantly influenced purchasing decisions, with a value of 2.246 and a significant value of 0.025. However, the presence of a halal label did not significantly affect purchasing decisions, registering a value of 0.317 and a significant value of 0.751. Product quality significantly influenced trust, with a value of 7.556 and a significant value of 0.000, while the halal label did not significantly affect trust, with a value of 1.934 and a significant value of 0.054. Trust significantly influenced purchasing decisions, with a value of 20.906 and a significant value of 0.000. Regarding the indirect effects, trust was found to mediate the relationship between product quality and purchasing decisions, with a value of 6.618 and a significant value of 0.000. However, trust was not found to mediate the relationship between halal labels and purchasing decisions, with a value of 1.943 and a significant value of 0.053.
