Abstract

Pendekatan STEM PJBL merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang memadukan beberapa disiplin ilmu dan dikombinasikan proses pembelajranya menggunakan model project. Melalui ppendekatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir, oleh karena itu penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan steam dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimental with one group pretest-posttest dengan populasi siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Data penelitian diambil dengan menggunakan instrumen angket berpikir kritis dan observasi. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa pendekatan STEAM mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis anak kelas V SD. Peningkatan tersebut tercermin pada indikator berpikir kritis yang menunjukkan peningkatan dibandingkan pembelajaran yang tidak menggunakan pendekatan STEAM. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata persentase setiap indikator pada saat pre-test sebesar 43,56% dan setelah dilakukan treatment diperoleh hasil post-test setiap indikator dengan persentase sebesar 65,98 sehingga jika dilihat dari rata-rata persentase tiap indikator terjadi peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis sebesar 22,42%.

Abstract

The problem of interrelationships between steps in solving mathematical problems is still a challenge in learning at the elementary school level. Many students have not been able to formulate solutions logically and completely due to a lack of reflective awareness of their thinking process. This study aims to describe the process of implementing reflective learning through mathematics learning journals and to analyze its impact on the interrelationships between students' thinking steps in problem solving. The study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method which was carried out in two cycles on fifth grade elementary school students with a total of 26 students as subjects. The instruments used included observation sheets, interview guidelines, problem-solving tests, and reflective journal assessment rubrics. The results showed that the implementation of reflective journals gradually increased the clarity of the sequence of steps (from 60% to 75%), the rationale for strategies (35% to 60%), and the identification of difficulties (25% to 55%). The average problem-solving test score also increased from 68 to 82. These findings indicate that reflective learning through learning journals is effective in strengthening logical understanding between steps and encouraging students' metacognitive awareness in solving mathematical problems.

Abstract

Desa Tirtanadi is one of the villages in the Labuan Haji District, East Lombok Regency, which has a lot of potential, both in agriculture, plantations, and livestock. The reality is that the farmers of Tirtanadi Village complain about the limited government-subsidized fertilizers, forcing them to buy both subsidized and non-subsidized fertilizers at exorbitant prices. This results in high agricultural costs, reduced crop yields, and even losses for them, prompting the village government to produce its own agricultural fertilizer needs for the community to achieve village independence, reduce agricultural operational costs, improve soil fertility, and realize sustainable agriculture. One of the solutions that can be implemented is utilizing livestock manure as organic fertilizer to reduce the problem of livestock waste and assist farmers with the issue of subsidized fertilizer shortages. Therefore, socialization and training activities are very necessary regarding the training on making organic fertilizer based on livestock manure, as this can become a promising opportunity and hold economic value for the local community.

Abstract

Natural plant extracts show excellent performance in inhibiting steel corrosion. Steel has a relatively weak resistance to corrosion when in a corrosive environment. The use of natural plant extracts as green corrosion inhibitors is able to provide good performance with high inhibition efficiency. Experimental methods such as gravimetric analysis, potentiodynamic polarization, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy are commonly used to investigate corrosion inhibition based on corrosion activity. A comparative literature review of this work is important for the development and utilization of green inhibitors. Experimental studies still do not clearly reveal the mechanism of adsorption and inhibition of molecular inhibitors at the atomic level. For this reason, future developments are very important to study theoretically at the atomic level of the main components of natural plant extracts as corrosion inhibitors, so that it is hoped that there will be a clear and systematic understanding of the mechanism of corrosion inhibition in steel.

Abstract

Students’ mathematical critical thinking skills in Indonesia remain relatively low, as reflected in the results of the 2018 PISA assessment. One of the main contributing factors is conventional teacher-centered learning. This study aims to describe the improvement of students’ critical thinking skills on the topic of three-dimensional shapes (cubes and rectangular prisms) through the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in Grade V of SD Negeri 01 Mamben Daya. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on the Kemmis & Taggart model, conducted in two cycles. The research subjects consisted of 32 students (21 males and 11 females). Data were collected through a written essay test comprising five questions designed to measure indicators of interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference. Data analysis employed descriptive percentage techniques. The results showed a significant improvement. In the pre-cycle stage, the percentage of classical mastery of students’ critical thinking skills was only 3.12% (categorized as low). After implementing PjBL in Cycle I, the percentage increased to 56.25% (categorized as moderately critical). In Cycle II, it further increased to 78.12% (categorized as critical), exceeding the predetermined success indicator (?75%). The implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model is effective in improving the critical thinking skills of Grade V students on the concept of three-dimensional shapes. This study is recommended as an alternative instructional model to enhance the quality of mathematics learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Pada pembelajaran matematika, materi pecahan yang dilakukan di dalam Kelas VA, SD Negeri 003 Sekupang, sebagian besar ditemukan anak didik tidak memahami materi pelajaran. Hal tersebut diperkuat dengan rata-rata hasil nilai belajar anak didik dalam kegiatan prasiklus dengan jumlah anak didik 45, dan presentase ketuntasannya 33%. Salah satu sebab masalah tersebut adalah guru tidak menggunakan media pada proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar anak didik. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah anak didik Kelas VA, SD Negeri 003 Sekupang, Tahun Pelajaran 2024/2025 Semester Ganjil, yang terdiri dari 28 jumlah anak didik pria dan 17 jumlah anak didik wanita. Jenis Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data kuantitatif. Sedangkan, teknik pengumpulan datanya melalui observasi, wawancara, dan tes penilaian tertulis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini didapati hasil bahwa benar, media manipulatif dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar anak didik. Hal ini diperkuat dengan adanya peningkatan yang terjadi pada hasil belajar anak didik. Rata-rata hasil belajar dalam kegiatan siklus ke-1 dengan presentase ketuntasannya 66%. Serta, rata-rata belajar anak didik dalam kegiatan siklus ke-2 dengan presentase ketuntasannya 95%.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika pada materi berat benda memerlukan peningkatan, dan salah satu cara efektif yang dapat diimplementasikan yaitu menggunakan metode role playing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika pada materi berat benda bagi peserta didik kelas IV di SDN 1 Sukorejo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang melibatkan 22 peserta didik sebagai subjek penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes tertulis dan observasi langsung selama proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar yang signifikan. Pada kondisi awal, tingkat ketuntasan belajar hanya mencapai 40% pada prasiklus. Setelah menerapkan metode role playing pada siklus I, tingkat ketuntasan belajar meningkat menjadi 60%. Pada siklus II, hasil belajar peserta didik meningkat lebih jauh hingga mencapai 80%. Berdasarkan temuan ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode role playing efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika pada materi berat benda bagi peserta didik kelas IV di SDN 1 Sukorejo. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa metode role playing tidak hanya menarik, tetapi juga dapat memperkuat pemahaman peserta didik terhadap materi yang disampaikan.
