Abstract

TPACK (Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge) is a basic skill for educators in today's modern era. Even TPACK is referred to as one of the factors that determines the success or failure of learning activities carried out, namely a teacher, so the quality of teachers can be an important factor in improving the quality of education. Teachers are required to have several competencies in the form of a set of mastery of abilities that must be present in teachers, especially in the use of technology, one of which is the application of AI (Artificial Intelligence). For teachers, the use of AI technology can help improve teaching skills, professional development, and provide support in learning assessment and management. This study uses a qualitative research method using a qualitative inductive analysis approach. Qualitative data is collected through activities to make notes of data and information that is heard and seen, then the data is analyzed. The results of the study show that the AI ​​digital literacy profile of teachers at SMAN 1 Mranggen can be concluded to be in the Very Good category (85%) with the following 3 indicators: 1) Ability to use digital media, namely 87% (Very Good); 2) Critical Understanding, namely 90% (Very Good); 3) Communication Skills, namely 76% (Good).

Abstract

PBL based performance assessment involves students directly and can train them to face various problems and find solutions to problems. Science learning in class VIII shows that critical thinking skills are still relatively lacking in the process of discovering concepts in the material and the ability to answer questions based on critical thinking skills. The low level of critical thinking skills is caused by students lack of conceptual discovery of the material being taught and examining the relationship between the material and solving problems in daily life, which is done directly through performance assessments, which were previously rarely implemented in the classroom. The PBL syntax embedded in the performance assessment rubric is also integrated with the critical thinking skills component. The aim of this research is to find out whether PBL-based performance assessment can be used to measure students' critical thinking abilities. This research uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach with descriptive data explanation in class VIII D of SMPN 37 Semarang. Students are asked to develop critical thinking skills through group work, with the results of practical and product performance assessment activities showing a good category. Where the practice percentage shows the lowest value with a percentage of 50% in the deduction dimension, with activities to determine conclusions and consider the results of the analysis with problems in each group to answer questions. The percentage of practice shows the highest score with a percentage of 75% in the dimensions of inference, recognition and interpretation with information analysis activities, exploration of information and conditions, identification of information obtained, presenting solutions and preventive efforts and the results of group work.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan persepsi guru Biologi SMA di Kota Semarang terhadap materi yang dianggap mudah dan sulit diajarkan, serta kendala dan strategi pembelajaran yang diterapkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket daring yang diisi oleh 34 guru Biologi dari berbagai SMA Negeri dan Swasta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa materi yang dianggap mudah diajarkan adalah keanekaragaman hayati, sistem pencernaan, pertumbuhan dan perkembangan, serta ekosistem. Sebaliknya, materi metabolisme, imunitas, evolusi, dan genetika dianggap sulit karena sifatnya yang abstrak dan kompleks. Kendala utama yang dihadapi guru meliputi konsep abstrak, istilah asing, keterbatasan media, kurangnya konsentrasi siswa, dan keterbatasan waktu. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, guru menerapkan strategi seperti Project-Based Learning (PjBL), Problem-Based Learning (PBL), dan Discovery Learning. Penelitian ini menyarankan perlunya dukungan pelatihan guru, media pembelajaran yang memadai, dan kolaborasi antar guru guna meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran Biologi di SMA.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the TPACK approach to developing critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes. The design used in this research is Experimental (Quasi-experimental) with Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects consisted of 72 high school students who were divided into two homogeneous classes, namely 36 students in the control class and 36 students in the experimental class. Students in the control class were taught conventional learning and the experimental class was taught with the TPACK approach. The TPACK approach to critical thinking skills is sufficient. Learning with the TPACK approach is more effective in improving learning outcomes than conventional learning. The results of the tcount test in the experimental class were 63.375 and the ttable was 1.666 while the control class the tcount test results were 25.102 and the ttable was 1.666.

Abstract

Terrarium-based project learning is a strategic innovation to support the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) at MA Roudlotul Mubtadiin. This activity aims to improve students' creativity, financial literacy, and entrepreneurial spirit. Through training, simulation, and hands-on practice methods, students were trained to create and market terrarium products as educational media and economic commodities. Data analysis shows that students have an average creative self-efficacy score of 3.83, financial literacy of 3.85, and entrepreneurship of 3.88 with no significant gender differences. These results indicate the effectiveness of the terrarium approach in shaping independent, creative, and entrepreneurial student profiles. Character education and 21st-century skills can be strengthened through this approach.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan kesulitan guru Biologi dalam mengajarkan materi pelajaran kepada siswa. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 25 guru Biologi peserta PPG Daljab 2024 di LPTK UPGRIS dengan masa kerja beragam: 0–5 tahun (16%), 6–10 tahun (20%), 11–15 tahun (44%), dan >15 tahun (24%). Instrumen penelitian berupa angket Google Form yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa materi yang dianggap mudah diajarkan antara lain keanekaragaman hayati (84%), ekosistem (72%), sistem pencernaan (60%), sistem reproduksi (56%), serta pertumbuhan dan perkembangan (52%). Sebaliknya, materi yang dianggap sulit meliputi metabolisme (68%), substansi genetika dan hereditas (64%), mutasi (60%), sistem saraf (56%), serta sistem hormon (48%). Kendala yang dialami guru mencakup keterbatasan media pembelajaran, istilah ilmiah yang sulit dipahami siswa, serta rendahnya motivasi belajar. Ketuntasan belajar siswa pada materi sulit rata-rata hanya mencapai 50–70%, bahkan beberapa guru melaporkan di bawah 50%. Upaya guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan tersebut meliputi remedial teaching, pengayaan, penggunaan media interaktif, serta penerapan model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) dan Project-Based Learning (PjBL). Temuan ini menegaskan perlunya strategi pembelajaran inovatif dalam mendukung pembelajaran Biologi, khususnya pada materi abstrak.

Abstract

Ikan lele merupakan ikan budidaya yang sering banyak dikembangkan di masyarakat umum apalagi di Indonesia. Ikan lele sangat digemari oleh masyarakat karena mudah dibudidayakan. Hal ini ikan lele apalagi jenis sangkuriang (Clarius sp) memiliki keunggulan berupa toleransi terhadap lingkungan. Salah satunya adalah menggunakan budidaya aquaponik berupa Budidamber. Aquaponik budidamber memiliki kelebihan yaitu tempat yang tidak terlalu memakan banyak dan juga dalam dapat menjadi media tanam tanaman berupa hidropononik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian fermentasi probiotik EM4 pada pakan pelet ikan terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup ikan lele (Clarias sp.) dengan sistem aquaponik budikdamber. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan memberikan tiga perlakuan yaitu pemberian dosis probiotik EM4 yang berbeda pada pakan pelet ikan lele. Perlakuan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah: Perlakuan P0 = tanpa pemberian EM4 pada pellet ikan, Perlakuan P1 = pemberian EM4 pada pellet ikan dengan dosis 1:2, Perlakuan P2 = pemberian EM4 pada pellet ikan dengan dosis 1:1. Data penelitian dianalisis secara statistik dengan menggunakan analisis sidik ragam (ANOVA).  Parameter yang digunakan yaitu pertumbuhan panjang ikan yang diukur menggunakan penggaris, pertumbuhan berat ikan yang diukur mengukur timbangan, tingkat kelangsungan hidup ikan, warna air, bau atau aroma air, serta pH dan suhu air. Dari hasil pengukuran yang dilakukan, panjang ikan dan pertumbuhan berat badan ikan mengalami kenaikan sebesar 1cm namun pemberian kosentrasi tinggi mengakibatkan sintasan pada kelangsungan hidup pada ikan mengalami penurunan. Serta pH air pada budidamber aquaponik juga mengalami perubahan pada setiap kosentrasi yang diberikan sehingga semakin tinggi kosentrasi yang berikan maka semakin stabil pH air pada budikdamber tersebut.

Abstract

Berkurangnya lahan pertanian dan padatnya perumahan penduduk mendorong munculnya konsep baru berkebun di lahan terbatas. Konsep tersebut semakin berkembang dan banyak diminati oleh masyarakat perkotaan dan kalangan milenial yang disebut sebagai urban farming. Konsep urban farming ini semakin diminati oleh masyarakat, selain terbatasnya lahan pertanian di perkotaan juga selaras dengan kebutuhan akan gaya hidup sehat. Memastikan bahwa sayuran yang dimakan bergizi dan bebas pestisida menjadi salah satu gaya hidup sehat yang sangat dianjurkan. Sejalan dengan hal tersebut Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi melalui Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian pada Masyarakat akan berkolaborasi dengan PKK Perum Sinar Surya Kelurahan Kedungmundu Kecamatan Tembalang Kota Semarang dalam melaksanakan kegiatan pendampingan masyarakat melalui program PKM yakni : a) Penyuluhan tentang edukasi urban farming, b) Penyuluhan, pelatihan dan praktik microgreens, c) Penyuluhan, pelatihan dan praktik hidroponik, d) Penyuluhan, pelatihan kewirausahaan dari hasil budidaya microgreens dan hidroponik.Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini dilaksanakan di Perum Sinar Surya RW 01 RT 10 Kelurahan Kedungmundu Kecamatan Tembalang Kota Semarang selama 2 bulan (25 November-16 Desember 2023). Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM ini yakni ceramah, simulasi atau peragaan serta praktek langsung tentang urban farming microgreen, hidroponik, dan kewirausahaan terkait microgreen dan hidroponik. Hasil dari PKM ini adalah pendampingan budidaya microgreens dan hidroponik telah memperoleh respon positif dari masyarakat, serta terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan motivasi masyarakat dalam menerapkan budidaya microgreens, hidroponik, serta entrepreneurship.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of palm sap (Borassus flabellifer L.) as an organic plant growth regulator on the vegetative growth of Dendrobium welirang orchids. Palm sap contains natural sugars, minerals, and biologically active components that may serve as an organic plant growth regulator. The research was conducted at the Candi Orchid Greenhouse in Semarang from July to October 2024 using a Completely Randomized Design with four palm sap concentrations, namely 0, 100, 150, and 200 ml/l, each applied in five replications. Observed parameters included plant height and root length. Data were analyzed using One Way ANOVA at a 5% significance level, followed by the Duncan Multiple Range Test. The results showed that palm sap concentration significantly affected plant height with the growth o1bserved in treatment P3 showing an average result of 12.01 cm. In contrast, root length was not significantly affected. These findings indicate that palm sap has potential as an environmentally friendly organic plant growth regulator to support vegetative growth of Dendrobium welirang orchids.

Abstract

Self-directed learning (SDL) based learning model has received significant attention in an effort to improve students' self-learning ability and critical thinking skills. Self- Directed Learning is an independent learning model that gives students the freedom to identify their learning needs, set learning objectives, find learning resources, select and use learning strategies, and evaluate their learning outcomes. This article shows that the SDL learning model enriched with argumentative evaluation and critical thinking has a significant positive influence on students. The application of argumentative assessment helps students develop analytical skills, logical reasoning, and the ability to build and defend arguments effectively. Meanwhile, the development of critical thinking through SDL learning allows students to take the initiative in identifying, planning and evaluating their own learning. It is important to adopt a learning approach that encourages students to take initiative in their own learning process and actively apply critical thinking skills in learning
