Abstract

Bioteknologi telah kontribusi dalam menuntaskan kemiskinan dan kelaparan serta menjamin meningkatkan kelestarian lingkungan terutama pada hasil peternakan. Pemanfaatan bioteknologi dalam menghasilkan vaksin, antibodi, pakan begizi tinggi, hormon pertumbuhan, dan pembuatan hewan transgenik yang gennya telah dimodifikasi dan teknologi induk buatan. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan studi literatur yang memuat beberapa artikel relevan. Kemudian dilakukan analisis artikel, artikel yang dianalisis menggunakan konten kualitatif dengan korelasi antara konten dan konteks. Berdasarkan hasil pembahasan didapati hasil bahwa bioteknologi memiliki potensi besar dalam meningkatkan praktik peternakan, meningkatkan produktivitas ternak, dan menjaga kesehatan hewan. Dengan pengembangan dan penerapan yang tepat, bioteknologi dapat menjadi alat yang kuat dalam mencapai keberlanjutan dan ketahanan pangan di masa depan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian maggot terhadap kelangsungan hidup dan pengaruh pemberian pakan terhadap ikan lele dumbo. Penyediaan pakan ternak yang berkualitas merupakan salah satu faktor penentu keberhasilan peternak ikan khususnya lele dan menjadi komponen terbesar dalam kegiatan usaha. Pemanfaatan pellet dan campuran maggot sebagai pakan ternak memiliki keuntungan secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 perlakuan dan 2 ulangan, dengan perlakuan pemberian pakan pellet 100%(kontrol), pemberian pakan pellet 75% + 25% maggot. Proses pengambilan data dilakukan setiap seminggu sekali. Pengamatan parameter meliputi panjang lele menggunakan penggaris, bobot lele menggunakan timbangan digital, dan kelangsungan hidup lele dihitung pada angka kematian setiap harinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pellet 75% + 25% maggot lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pemberian pellet 100%. Walaupun selisih nya tidak jauh tipis dibandingkan pakan pellet. Hal ini terjadi karena pakan maggot terdapat protein yang tidak dimiliki oleh pakan pelet.

Abstract

The aquatic bamboo plant (Equisetum hyemale) can be used as a phytoremediation agent because it has hyperaccumulator properties and is hyper-tolerant of pollutants. With the increasing number of industrial and household activities, managing waste before it is disposed of directly into the environment. This research aims to determine the application of phytoremediation in reducing pollutant content in water pollution waste. The research method was carried out using a literature research design review of the Google Scholar and SINTA databases starting from publication year 2014 to 2023 by reviewing a total of ten national journal articles. The research results show that phytoremediation can reduce wastewater pollution content, especially BOD and COD levels accumulated by the roots of aquatic bamboo plants. The effective time for the phytoremediation method is 3 days, 5 days, and 12 days which can reduce the number of contaminants in sample water according to wastewater quality standards. The novelty of this research is in the variables studied, namely BOD and COD levels using aquatic bamboo plants.

Abstract

Problems that are often experienced in learning Environment Pollution material is the lack of participation of learners in the formation his knowledge, this is due to the learning provided only limited to theory without utilizing laboratory facilities for activities practicum. In addition, the teaching materials used are less able to hook material with contextual phenomena in everyday life, so that lack of opportunities for learners to conduct investigations. This research aims to develop practicum worksheet on Project Based Learning on environmental pollution material. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D). The preparation of practicum worksheet uses the ADDIE model, but in this study only focuses on the ADD (Analysis, Design, and Development) stage. Practicum worksheet design that has been prepared before being tested is measured for quality through validation activities by material experts and media experts. Validation was carried out by 2 material experts and 2 media experts, in this case lecturers from PGRI Semarang University. The final average score of validation results by material experts was 92.36% and media experts was 90.33%. This value included in the very valid category, so that the practicum worksheet that has been prepared is suitable for use in learning Environmental Pollution material.

Abstract

The main problem underlying this research is the lack of activeness of class XI ATPH A SMKN 1 Bawen students in participating in learning. This is because the characteristics of students learning styles are variated so that if teachers don’t accommodate the needs of their learning styles, students will be reluctant to pay attention the learning level of use of learning technology; motivation to learn mathematics and even have difficulty understanding the lesson. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of this research are that researchers can find out the teacher's strategy to increase the activeness of class XI ATPH A students in learning, namely by presenting differentiated learning content. The content differentiation strategy is provided by the teacher so that students can explore insight and understanding regarding the material being taught. Student activeness in learning will appear automatically if students understand learning well because their learning needs have been fulfilled.

educate the younger generation. However, there are still many obstacles, including differences in characteristics and learning needs of students. This research aims to determine the learning method using the TaRL (Teaching at The Right Level) approach in generative plant propagation material on the level of students' understanding. This type of research is classroom action research.  The research subjects using 1 class X of SMK Negeri 1 Bawen were 31 students. This research was carried out by providing pre-test and post-test questions regarding generative plant propagation. The implementation of the TaRL approach is carried out by grouping students according to their respective levels of ability, where each group consists of students who get low, medium and high scores. Grouping is done so that cooperation in groups and discussion activities to complete tasks can run smoothly and effectively. The research that has been carried out shows that the TaRL approach can improve students' understanding. The results of the research showed that there was an increase in students' understanding with the increase in the test results by 5.41 or increased from 84.29 to 89.70.

Abstract

This research was conducted at SMKN 1 Bawen with the research population consisting of all students of class XI ATPH A. The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach in improving students' understanding of seed selection material. The instruments used in this research were pretest and posttest assessments. The TaRL approach was implemented by grouping students based on their initial understanding as measured by pretest scores. Students were categorized into three groups: proficient, sufficient, and low. During the discussion process, teachers provided intensive guidance to the low-category group, while students in the proficient and sufficient categories were given additional challenges in the form of questions designed to enhance critical thinking, creativity, and problem solving. Data analysis was performed using the N-Gain test and the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The analysis results showed an N-Gain value of 0.6198, indicating a moderate level of effectiveness of the TaRL approach in improving the understanding of seed selection material among students of class XI ATPH A. Additionally, the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test revealed that out of 21 students, 15 experienced an increase in their scores from pretest to posttest, with an average score increase of 10.93. The Wilcoxon test's significance value of 0.005 that can indicated significant difference between pretest and posttest. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach is effective in improving students' understanding of seed selection material in class XI ATPH A.

Abstract

Ikan lele (Clarias sp.) merupakan ikan air tawar yang banyak dibudidayakan di Indonesia. Sistem akuaponik dapat menghemat lahan dan meningkatkan efisiensi pemanfaatan hara. Tanaman kangkung (Ipomoea aquatica) dan selada (Lactuca sativa) merupakan jenis sayuran yang populer di Indonesia. Maka dari itu, penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengukur pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan lele (Clarias gariepinus) pada sistem akuaponik dengan jenis tanaman yang berbeda yaitu menggunakan tanaman kangkung dan selada. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri atas tiga perlakuan, yaitu Perlakuan P0 dengan pemberian pakan pelet (Kontrol), Perlakuan P1 dengan pertumbuhan tanaman kangkung dan pemberian pakan pelet, dan Perlakuan P2 dengan pertumbuhan tanaman selada dan pemberian pakan pelet). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Penelitian selama 6 minggu menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan mutlak bobot tubuh benih ikan lele tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan kontrol (P0) sebesar 11,03 g dan pertumbuhan mutlak panjang tubuh tertinggi juga terdapat pada perlakuan kontrol (P0) sebesar 4,03 cm. Laju pertumbuhan spesifik (SGR) tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan kontrol (P0). Tingkat kelangsungan hidup (SR) tertinggi benih ikan lele terdapat pada Perlakuan I (P1) dengan tanaman kangkung sebesar 92,5%. Pertumbuhan tanaman akuatik menunjukkan bahwa tanaman kangkung (P1) memiliki tinggi rata-rata 9,25 cm, lebar daun 0,6 cm, dan 5 daun, sedangkan selada (P2) memiliki tinggi rata-rata 1,87 cm, lebar daun 0,93 cm, dan 2 daun. Kualitas air selama penelitian relatif stabil dengan suhu berkisar antara 26-33°C dan nilai pH antara 7-7,9.

Abstract

Agribusiness vocational education has a strategic role in preparing skilled workers who are able to compete in the world of work. This study aims to analyze the preferences and learning styles of students in the Food Crops and Horticulture Agribusiness program at SMK Negeri 1 Bawen. The research method used is quantitative descriptive with data collection through questionnaires and interviews. The main focus of this study includes preferences for learning methods, learning methods, enthusiasm levels, and other supporting factors such as access to agricultural land and learning facilities. The results showed that 48.28% of students preferred a combination of theory and practice learning methods because they provided a deeper understanding and were relevant to the needs of the world of work. As many as 79.31% of students chose to study in groups because they allowed discussion and collaboration, while 20.69% of students preferred independent learning to focus on individual understanding. The level of student enthusiasm for agribusiness learning varied, with the majority showing high involvement especially in field practice activities. Supporting factors such as access to agricultural land, practice facilities, and teacher support played a significant role in increasing student motivation and skills. This study concludes that a balanced learning approach between theory and practice, supported by adequate facilities and cooperation with the industrial world, can optimize student learning outcomes. Recommendations include the development of an industry-based curriculum and increased support for students who do not have access to agribusiness land.

Abstract

Leachate contains TSS (Total Suspended Solid) and TDS (Total Dissolved Solid) which causes turbidity and a blackish brown color in the leachate. One effort that can be made to deal with environmental pollution caused by leachate is phytoremediation. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of water bamboo as a phytoremediation agent for TSS and TDS from landfill leachate. This research is an experimental study with a completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatment levels and three repetitions. The treatments given in this research were three variations of water bamboo, namely P0 : without water bamboo, P1: 750 g water bamboo, and P2: 1.000 g water bamboo. Based on research results, water bamboo is not effective in reducing TSS and TDS. The most optimal percentage reduction in TSS occurred in the P2 on the third day of the study (16.83%). The most optimal percentage reduction in TDS occurred in the P1 on the seventh day of the study (6.56%). The results of research show that phytoremediation can reduce Jatibarang Landfill leachate, especially TSS and TDS levels accumulated by the roots of water bamboo.
