Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the process of developing creative thinking skills in science (IPAS) subjects through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in grade VI students of Mertan 1 Elementary School. The data collection techniques used included observation, interviews, and documentation with 7 students from grade IV as the subjects. The data analysis technique applied was interactive data analysis through four stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, processed using NVivo version 12. The results of the study indicate that students’ creative thinking skills through PBL developed comprehensively: fluency of thinking produced various alternative problem-solving ideas and initial ideas; flexibility of thinking generated new solutions and different ways of collecting information; originality of thinking resulted in presenting outcomes independently and contributing actively to discussions; and the development of thinking processes produced detailed idea elaboration, systematic explanation of investigation steps, and evaluation of results with logical improvement measures. ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam mata pelajaran IPAS melalui model Problem-Based Learning siswa kelas VI Sekolah Dasar Negeri Mertan 1. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan terdiri dari observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, dengan subjek kelas IV yang terdiri dari 7 siswa, sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis data interaktif melalui empat tahapan, meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan yang diolah melalui Nvivo versi 12. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif pada siswa melalui PBL berkembang secara menyeluruh, kelancaran berpikir menghasilkan berbagai alternatif pemecahan masalah dan ide awal, keluwesan berpikir menghasilkan solusi baru dan cara pengumpulan informasi yang berbeda, keaslian berpikir menghasilkan penyampaian hasil dengan cara sendiri dan kontribusi nyata dalam diskusi, serta pengembangan proses berpikir menghasilkan elaborasi ide yang rinci, penjelasan langkah penyelidikan secara sistematis, dan evaluasi terhadap hasil yang diperoleh dengan langkah perbaikan yang logis.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the process of implementing the interactive media Wordwall in fostering scientific literacy in the IPAS subject for fourth-grade students at Mertan 1 Elementary School. The data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, involving 12 fourth-grade students as the research subjects. The data were analyzed using an interactive data analysis technique consisting of four stages: data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, processed using NVivo version 12. The findings revealed that the implementation of the interactive Wordwall media strengthened students’ scientific literacy concepts, including observing object images, classifying objects based on specific characteristics, and conducting real experiments such as changes in the states of matter using candles and ice cubes. Furthermore, students were able to identify the results of their observations and draw logical conclusions based on the facts obtained. The game-based features of Wordwall also created an enjoyable and challenging learning environment, fostering students’ interest, curiosity, and positive attitudes toward science that can be applied in their daily lives.

Abstract

This study examines the use of the Deep Learning approach in IPAS (Integrated Science and Social Studies) learning to enhance the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Sidorejo 02. The main objective of this research is to analyze the role of real problem-based learning, active discussions, reflection, and the connection between learning materials and students’ daily lives in improving their ability to understand issues, provide logical reasons, and express opinions rationally. The study employed a descriptive qualitative method involving one fifth-grade teacher and eight students. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman as well as NVivo software. The findings indicate that the implementation of Deep Learning is effective in increasing student participation, enhancing their ability to explain concepts in their own words, strengthening their confidence in expressing opinions, and improving their skills in analyzing and evaluating problems in a deeper and more contextual manner.

Abstract

This study focuses on the implementation of the Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) approach in IPAS learning (Integrated Science and Social Studies) as an effort to integrate IPAS content knowledge, pedagogical strategies, and the meaningful use of technology in students’ learning processes. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the TPACK approach in IPAS learning in the fourth grade of SD Negeri Pranan 01. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method involving one teacher and five students selected through purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model with the assistance of Nvivo software to identify patterns and relationships among the findings. The results of the study indicate that the integration of learning videos, interactive presentations, and guided discussions within the TPACK framework helps students become more focused, actively engaged, and able to understand concepts more clearly. These findings show that the TPACK approach plays an important role in supporting contextual and meaningful IPAS learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in improving the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students in the science subject at Sidorejo 02 Elementary School. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. The research subjects consisted of fourth-grade students and the class teacher as the learning implementer. The subject determination was done purposively. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Critical thinking skills were analyzed based on indicators of identifying problems, analyzing information, expressing opinions with logical reasons, drawing conclusions, and reflecting on project results. The results showed that the implementation of PjBL had a positive impact on students' critical thinking skills. Through systematic learning stages, students were more active in asking questions, discussing, collaborating, solving problems, and presenting project results in a coherent manner. In addition, student motivation and enthusiasm increased during the learning process. Despite obstacles such as time constraints and lack of student focus, overall the PjBL model was effective in creating meaningful learning and was able to have a positive impact on elementary school students' critical thinking.
