Abstract

This study analyzes and compares the social performance of Islamic banking in Indonesia using the Islamic Social Reporting (ISR) Index. The ISR Index assesses the extent to which Islamic banks disclose social responsibilities in line with Islamic principles. This research focuses on two Islamic business units BTN Syariah and CIMB Niaga Syariah through content analysis of their annual and sustainability reports. Using a descriptive-comparative approach and secondary data, the study evaluates ISR dimensions such as environmental responsibility, social responsibility, Sharia compliance, and other relevant aspects. The findings reveal a difference in transparency between the two banks. CIMB Niaga Syariah scored higher in several ISR dimensions, indicating a stronger commitment to Sharia-compliant social reporting. Nonetheless, both banks show positive development in improving their social disclosure. These results have significant implications for Islamic banking practitioners and regulators, encouraging greater transparency, accountability, and the formulation of effective social reporting strategies aligned with Sharia values. Furthermore, the study serves as a useful reference for other Islamic financial institutions aiming to enhance their social performance and better meet stakeholder expectations through more comprehensive and responsive reporting practices.

Abstract

The "All Eyes on Rafah" campaign, featuring an AI-generated image of a refugee tent formation spelling out the campaign's name, has emerged as a pivotal instance of global digital advocacy. The research investigates how digital media and AI-generated imagery shape international humanitarian responses. Employing a qualitative, descriptive, and interdisciplinary approach, the study analyzes primary data sources through various theoretical frameworks, including viral images and news reports. The findings illuminate the transformative role of digital advocacy in influencing global perceptions and mobilizing humanitarian action, highlighting the potential of AI in such campaigns. This research contributes valuable insights to the media, political communication, and international relations fields. However, it is limited by its focus on a single case, indicating the necessity for further exploration of AI's broader implications in media and communication. Keywords: Humanitarian Crisis; Digital Advocacy; All Eyes on Rafah; Campaign.

Abstract

This community service activity was motivated by the low utilization of cricket farming potential as an alternative creative economic enterprise and a source of highly nutritious, environmentally friendly food. The implementation method was carried out through observation, planning, purchasing cricket eggs, cultivation training, and mentoring for participants consisting of lecturers and students from Universitas Islam 45, Bekasi City, with a total of 335 participants, 150 of whom participated offline and 185 participated online through a video conferencing application. The results of the activity showed that participants gained an in-depth understanding of cricket farming techniques, from hatching eggs to harvesting, the importance of using fresh feed, the nutritional value contained in crickets, and the economic potential that can be developed into high-value products. The obstacles that arose in the form of limited initial experience in farming were overcome through a hands-on approach and interactive discussions. In the context of the Society 5.0 era, this activity also integrated digital technology with cricket farming through microcontrollers and humidity sensors. The conclusion of this activity is that cricket farming has proven to be an alternative for strengthening food security, developing productive businesses, and increasing applicable academic knowledge in supporting sustainable economic development at the local level.

Abstract

Financial management is a fundamental aspect in ensuring the sustainability and enhancing the welfare of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). However, field observations indicate that many MSME actors, particularly in Ridogalih Village, still lack an adequate understanding of the importance of simple and systematic financial recording and management. This issue often leads to difficulties in monitoring cash flow, calculating profits, and planning sustainable business development. To address this challenge, a socialization and training program was conducted focusing on the utilization of the BukuWarung application as a digital financial recording tool that is easy to use and suitable for the needs of small-scale MSMEs. The methods implemented in this community service activity included socialization on the importance of financial record-keeping, training on the use of the application, and continuous evaluation of participants’ levels of understanding and skills. The results of the activity revealed an improvement in MSME actors’ understanding of simple bookkeeping concepts, accompanied by enhanced skills in recording daily transactions using the BukuWarung application. Furthermore, participants became more accustomed to and comfortable with the use of digital technology to support efficient business management. This activity is expected to provide a significant contribution to strengthening the effectiveness of MSME financial management, enhancing business competitiveness, and expanding the number of small enterprises capable of sustainable growth in Ridogalih Village.

Abstract

This research paper examines the role of Islamic social welfare in addressing inequality and enhancing social cohesion in Daerah Khusus Jakarta (DKJ). Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study analyzes official statistical data from DK Jakarta in 2022-2024 through the theoretical framework of Putnam's social capital, Crenshaw's intersectionality, and Foster-Iaione's urban commons. Key findings reveal the effectiveness of the zakat-waqf network in mitigating the impact of inflation, reducing it from 3.30% (2022) to 1.98% (2024). Mosques act as centers of socio-economic innovation through programs such as "Jumu'at Berbagi" and "Digital Sharia Cooperatives". The intersectional approach in the "Ta'lim Muyassar" program effectively addresses the complexity of educational inequality. The concept of Islamic-based urban commons creates a participatory city governance model. This study produces an adaptive Islamic social welfare model, introduces "Urban Fiqh", and develops an "Islamic Urban Well-being" index. Limitations of the study include a limited geographic focus and a lack of longitudinal data. Further research is suggested to conduct comparative studies across cities and explore blockchain integration in the zakat-waqf system.

This study uses a quantitative method with a sample of 29 ninth grade students. So that the filled questionnaire must be 29 data according to the number of samples. This study uses simple regression analysis techniques to test the variable fullday school system on learning motivation. The results stated that there was no significant effect on the implementation of the full day school system on student learning motivation. In many cases, students actually feel exhausted or less focused when school hours are extended without any significant changes in the learning approach or a more conducive learning atmosphere.
