Abstract

Writing an essay is still a challenge for students even for those at the university level. There are many difficulties they find when they try to write it. First, especially in non-English speaking countries, students lack vocabulary, they do not have ideas to write, they are still confused about the mechanics, and they find it difficult to organize the writing. Since the problems are complex, giving only the theories of writing to the students is not adequate. Teachers have to ‘arm’ the students with tools. There are many tools available today on the internet, yet not many students are able to use them correctly. They need guidance to use them in the correct way. This research aims at developing a digital teaching tool to assist students in writing an essay. The research is done by doing need analysis, designing the digital tool, and finally testing the designed teaching tool. The digital teaching tool is named as Diglit which stands for Digital Literacy. It is named so since the tool guides the students to use their literacy skills for constructing a better essay. The research employed ASSURE design to develop the teaching tool. At the end of the process, the tool is tested for its effectiveness using quasi experimental research and it is found out that there is an effect of the use of Diglit on the students’ writing skill. Hence, the result shows that the digital tool created from the research is able to help the students construct an essay.

Abstract

This study focuses on the economic policy strategies implemented by Trump and their implications for economic reform in Indonesia, while also uncovering the multidimensional and complex interactions between foreign policy and its impact on the domestic economy. The purpose of this study is to understand the influence of Donald Trump's economic decisions on public behavior, as well as their suitability to policies in Indonesia. The data collection method was carried out using a qualitative approach, using literature studies and analysis of the applicable policy context. The data were analyzed through interdisciplinary nuances that include Public Choice Theory, Behavioral Economics, and Sustainable Economic Development, each of which provides thematic-impressive and case-impactful insights into the dynamics of policy and public response. Primary sources used in this study include academic reports, news articles, and analysis from experts in the field of political economy. The research findings prove that economic policies in the US can trigger sentiments and behavioral patterns that directly affect Indonesian society, especially in the context of dissatisfaction with local policies. The conclusion of this analysis boldly asserts that economic reform in Indonesia needs to capitalize on existing psychological and social factors. The novelty of this research is seen in the development of an analytical framework that links foreign economic policy with broader public responses, as well as the importance of public involvement in the decision-making process. Limitations of this research include the lack of specific quantitative data, and further research is recommended to explore the interaction between policies from other countries and their impacts on Indonesian society more holistically, both directly and indirectly.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare the financial performance of Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia using the Sharia Conformity and Profitability (SCnP) method. Sharia Conformity measures a bank's level of compliance with sharia principles, while profitability assesses a bank's ability to generate profits. The data used are the financial performance reports of Islamic Commercial Banks registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in 2023. SCnP indicators include sharia-compliant product structures and compliance with the National Sharia Council (DSN) fatwas, while profitability is assessed through Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE). The results show that Bank Muamalat Indonesia and Bank Aceh Syariah are in the URQ quadrant, with Sharia Conformity levels of 75% and 79%, respectively. In terms of profitability, Bank Aceh Syariah performed 67.15% higher than Bank Muamalat Indonesia at 1.37%. This finding indicates a positive correlation between sharia compliance and profitability, where increased sharia conformity can strengthen financial performance. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of strategies that focus on sharia compliance to support the growth and competitiveness of sharia banks in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the variables of E-Service Quality, namely Fulfillment, Responsiveness, Compensation, Efficiency, System Availibility, Privacy, Contact on the satisfaction of Gen Z customers in using the BSI Mobile application. The method used is a quantitative method by distributing questionnaires as a data collection tool and multiple regression analysis tests are carried out through SPSS Statistic Version 26 Software. The population in this study is customers who belong to Generation Z and use the BSI Mobile application domiciled in Greater Jakarta. Sampling uses non-probability sampling by determining the number of samples using the Cochran formula which produces a sample number of 100 respondents. This study shows that the results of simultaneous tests for the variables of Fulfillment, Responsiveness, Compensation, Efficiency, System Availability, Privacy, and Contact together affect the satisfaction of Gen Z customers in using the BSI Mobile application. Then in the partial test for the variables Fulfillment, Responsiveness, Compensation, Privacy, and Contact, each had no effect and was not significant on the satisfaction of Gen Z customers in using the BSI Mobile application. This is because Gen Z customers have not felt the good quality of service from BSI regarding the fulfillment, response and communication of customer complaints and the security of customer personal data that has not been maximized. Meanwhile, the Efficiency and System Availability variables have a positive and significant effect on Gen customer satisfaction in using the BSI Mobile application. This research has recommendations for Bank Syariah Indonesia to continue to improve the quality of BSI Mobile services so that it can increase customer satisfaction in using it.
