Abstract

Originating from the nickname "Kampung Kasih Sayang," the Assembly of Fardu Ain Taklim is a village that harmonizes togetherness and equality in the values ​​of Islam and the Pancasila ideology. The esteemed Tuwan Imam leads this Village. Therefore, the research aims to understand the leadership qualities of Tuwan Imam in preserving the existence of Kampung Kasih Sayang. The research method employed is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques involve participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentary studies. Data analysis follows Miles and Huberman's approach, encompassing data reduction, display, and verification. The ATLAS assists the entire analytical process software (Archive of Technology, Life-World, and Everyday Language). The research findings reveal that Tuwan Imam's leadership journey exemplifies sacrifice, love for the nation, religion, and moral values. Tuwan Imam provides nine requirements for joining the Village, along with five obligations and five prohibitions to be adhered to while living in Kampung Kasih Sayang. Tuwan Imam also implements three social concepts, including social structure, functional integrity, and social groups, fostering a communal life based on togetherness, equality, and mutual support. This gives rise to the principles of patience, gratitude, and sharing in Kampung Kasih Sayang. Tuwan Imam leadership reflects the principles of "Ing Ngarsa Sang Tuladha, Ing Madya Mangun Karsa, Tut Wuri Handayani".

Abstract

Restoring degraded mangrove ecosystems is crucial in order to enhance the sustainability of coastal ecosystem environments, conserve biodiversity, and provide social, economic, and environmental benefits to communities. The objective of this research is to examine how mangrove restoration activities can contribute positively to the socio-economic livelihoods of the community in Teluk Pambang, Bengkalis Regency. The study was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach and implemented in early November 2023. Data was collected in multiple ways, such as observation and documentation. The results showed that mangrove restoration activities provided several impacts. First, it was good for increasing community knowledge and understanding of the function and role of mangroves in coastal conservation efforts. After that, it enhanced community empowerment through the formation of agricultural groups such as Belukap and Langgadai, with 62.50% of group members actively participating in restoration activities from land clearing to planting stages. Finally, mangrove restoration activities conducted in Teluk Pambang village contributed positively to increasing the income of community members. Certainly, restoration activities have been perceived as highly beneficial in helping meet the daily needs of the families of agricultural group members. Therefore, it is hoped that the mangrove restoration efforts in Teluk Pambang village can be done sustainably.

Abstract

Indonesia is projected to experience a 41.4% increase in its elderly population, marking the highest growth rate globally. One of the key issues faced by Tandem Hulu II Village is the significant proportion of elderly residents, who currently make up approximately 34% of the total population. This categorizes Tandem Hulu II Village as an ageing population. The objective of this initiative is to assist BKL cadres in developing structured and easy-to-understand teaching modules, supported by engaging learning media such as videos and games tailored for the elderly. The implementation method employs a persuasive approach, including mentoring and socialization, group discussions, Q&A sessions, simulations, the application of teaching modules, as well as documentation and reporting. The outcomes of this initiative demonstrate that the PKM team from Universitas Negeri Medan successfully created the Lansia SMART Module and the Lansia SMART Facilitator Book. These modules are complemented by various interactive learning media, such as educational videos and games, making the learning process more engaging and easier to understand. Furthermore, the socialization and mentoring conducted by the PKM Unimed team for the Family Elderly Development (BKL) cadres yielded highly positive results, significantly enhancing the participants’ knowledge.Indonesia diperkirakan akan mengalami peningkatan jumlah populasi lansia sebesar 41,4%, merupakan angka peningkatan tertinggi di seluruh dunia. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh Desa Tandem Hulu II bahwa hingga saat ini persentase Lansia mencapai angka signifikan, yaitu sekitar 34%, dari jumlah penduduk, sehingga Desa Tandem Hulu II telah masuk dalam Kategori penduduk tua atau Ageing Population. Adapun tujuan kegiatan ini yaitu memberikan Pendampingan kepada Kader BKL dalam mengembangkan modul ajar yang terstruktur dan mudah dipahami didukung dengan menyiapkan media Pembelajaran video dan permainan yang menarik bagi Lansia. Metode Pelaksanaan Menggunakan Pendekatan persuasif, Pendampingan dan Sosialisasi, Diskusi kelompok, Tanya jawab, simulasi, Penerapan Modul Ajar, Pencatatan dan pelaporan. Hasil kegiatan memperlihatkan bahwa Tim PKM Universitas Negeri Medan berhasil menciptakan Modul Lansia SMART dan Buku Fasilitator Lansia SMART. Modul ini didukung oleh berbagai media pembelajaran interaktif seperti video dan game edukatif yang membuat proses belajar lebih menarik dan mudah dipahami oleh peserta. Selain itu, Sosialisasi dan pendampingan yang dilakukan oleh tim PKM Unimed terhadap Kader Bina Keluarga Lansia (BKL) menunjukkan hasil yang sangat positif, dimana setelah dilakukannya Pendampingan menunjukkan Peningkatan pengetahuan peserta.

Abstract

Rendahnya literasi digital dapat menimbulkan berbagai permasalahan, seperti kasus kejahatan digital yang terjadi di SMP Negeri 59 Bandung, meliputi akses konten pornografi, perjudian online, dan cyberbullying. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital melalui sosialisasi kesadaran hukum terhadap UU ITE sebagai upaya pencegahan kejahatan digital di SMP Negeri 59 Bandung. Sosialisasi dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahapan utama. Pertama, tahap persiapan, yang mencakup identifikasi permasalahan dan perencanaan kegiatan. Kedua, tahap pelaksanaan, yakni pemberian sosialisasi kepada siswa. Ketiga, tahap evaluasi, yang dilakukan dengan pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur efektivitas program. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa program edukasi literasi digital ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran hukum siswa terkait UU ITE dalam mencegah kejahatan digital. Siswa dan guru menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dalam memahami materi, termasuk isu pornografi, perjudian, dan cyberbullying. Skor rata-rata pemahaman siswa meningkat dari 69,67 menjadi 84,67, menunjukkan efektivitas program dalam membekali siswa menghadapi tantangan digital dengan bijak dan bertanggung jawab.

Abstract

The younger generation is increasingly drawn into modern culture, which often contradicts the noble values of the nation. This has resulted in a diminishing appreciation for traditions, customs, and social norms passed down by ancestors. Therefore, the aim of this research is to uncover the values of Pancasila in the Mangure Lawik tradition as an effort to preserve local wisdom in the city of Sibolga. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection employs primary data through interviews, observations, and documentation, as well as secondary data from books, journals, and relevant sources. Data analysis is performed using Miles and Huberman's analysis method, which includes data reduction, data display, and data verification. The results show that the Mangure Lawik tradition in Sibolga reflects the values of Pancasila, particularly in terms of togetherness and reverence for God. This ritual is performed as a form of gratitude to God for the harvest from the sea and a prayer for the safety of the fishermen. The tradition also demonstrates the values of solidarity and mutual cooperation. Furthermore, Mangure Lawik embodies the value of Indonesian unity, with active participation from all layers of society in this festival. This tradition also reflects the value of social justice, where the entire coastal community is involved in cultural activities and environmental preservation, strengthening unity and national identity. Today, the tradition continues to guide the community’s Pancasila-based lifestyle, shaping policies and youth participation in preserving both culture and nature.

Abstract

In the realm of business and competitive markets, branding plays a crucial role. A brand serves as a key identifier with the primary goal of distinguishing an entrepreneur's products from those of competitors. This article examines the trademark dispute between MS Glow and PS Glow, revealing two different rulings from the same legal case, specifically the cancellation of a trademark. The differing interpretations of the Trademark and Geographical Indications Law by the judges have raised concerns, prompting scrutiny of the clarity in the application of trademark law in Indonesia. This research uses a normative method, utilizing secondary data that includes primary legal materials such as court decisions and legislative texts related to trademarks. Additionally, secondary legal materials such as journals and books are referenced to enhance understanding. The data analysis methodology employed is qualitative juridical analysis. The findings show that both cases share a common issue similarity in beauty product brands. Each party claims to possess legitimate intellectual property rights and asserts that they have avoided any trademark infringement. Notably, the legal dispute between PS Glow and MS Glow does not fall under the Nobis in Idem principle, as the lawsuit filed in the Surabaya court was initiated before the Medan Commercial Court’s decision had been finalized. This study offers important insights into trademark disputes, the application of trademark law in Indonesia, and the complexities involved in handling trademark conflicts between competing parties.

Abstract

Permasalahan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya literasi budaya dan kewargaan mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan, khususnya dalam memahami dilema moral dalam konteks kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan berbasis dilema moral dengan bantuan teknologi Augmented Reality (AR) guna memperkuat literasi budaya dan kewargaan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan Borg and Gall berupa analysis design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan memperoleh skor rata-rata 4,5 dari ahli materi dan 4,45 dari ahli media, yang keduanya termasuk kategori “Sangat Baik.” Penilaian dari praktisi pembelajaran juga menunjukkan hasil positif. Keseluruhan data membuktikan bahwa media pembelajaran ini layak untuk diujicobakan lebih lanjut sebagai alternatif inovatif dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan yang kontekstual dan berbasis dilema moral untuk meningkatkan literasi budaya dan kewargaan.

Abstract

Saat ini, demokrasi di Indonesia belum secara maksimal terlaksana. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan masih adanya pelanggaran-pelanggaran demokrasi. Untuk itu, agar demokrasi pada masa kini dan pada masa yang akan datang menjadi lebih baik, maka mahasiswa sebagai agen perubahan sangat diperlukan kehadirannya. Membentuk mahasiswa yang berkarakter demokrasi, salah satu hal yang dapat dilakukan ialah dengan menelusuri karakter politik demokrasi Buya Hamka. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakter politik demokrasi Buya Hamka dalam membentuk civic disposition (karakter kewarganegaraan) pada mahasiswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pemikiran Buya Hamka memiliki relevansi kuat dalam membentuk civic disposition mahasiswa di era kontemporer. Tiga pilar utama yang ditekankan yaitu kepemimpinan berakhlak, musyawarah, dan ketakwaan sebagai landasan moral. Pilar-pilar ini membentuk karakter kewarganegaraan yang religius, bertanggung jawab, adil, dan menjunjung persatuan. Nilai-nilai tersebut dapat diinternalisasikan melalui aktivitas akademik dan sosial mahasiswa. Pemikiran Buya Hamka berkontribusi pada pengembangan demokrasi yang etis, humanis, dan berlandaskan Pancasila.

Abstract

Desa Kelambir termasuk wilayah dengan jumlah lansia yang cukup tinggi, mencapai 25% dari total populasi. Kondisi ini berdampak pada meningkatnya beban ekonomi keluarga, karena banyak lansia yang sudah tidak produktif dan memerlukan biaya perawatan yang tidak sedikit. Situasi ini turut memengaruhi kesejahteraan generasi sandwich, yakni mereka yang harus menopang kehidupan orang tua dan anak sekaligus. Untuk mengatasi persoalan ini, Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) diinisiasi sebagai upaya meningkatkan kualitas hidup lansia melalui pendekatan pemberdayaan ekonomi. Fokus program adalah menumbuhkan jiwa kewirausahaan berbasis pangan lokal yang memanfaatkan potensi sumber daya desa. Program ini menggunakan metode Participatory Action Research yang menekankan partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam setiap tahap pelaksanaan. Kegiatan sosialisasi dan pendampingan dilaksanakan secara intensif kepada Kader Bunga Labu, yang kemudian dilatih mengolah bahan lokal menjadi produk bernilai jual tinggi, seperti bakso. Kolaborasi dengan praktisi kuliner membantu meningkatkan kualitas dan daya saing produk. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta. Program ini tidak hanya berhasil mengembangkan potensi ekonomi, tetapi juga memberikan harapan baru bagi pemberdayaan lansia secara produktif. Keberhasilan inisiatif ini diharapkan dapat menjadi contoh bagi pelaksanaan program serupa di desa-desa lain.

Abstract

Globalization has influenced citizens' mindset, behavior, and attitudes, shifting traditional national values such as mutual cooperation, care, fairness, and mutual respect toward more individualistic and egocentric orientations. These changes pose a serious challenge to shaping national character, particularly among university students. This study aims to develop a Global Civics Learning Model Based on National Projects to strengthen students' character in embracing diversity. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4-D model: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Data were analyzed using the Independent Sample T-Test to assess the model's effectiveness. The results indicate that the model has a very high level of validity, with content validation scoring an average of 94.72% and construct validation at 94.20%. Effectiveness testing revealed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups (sig. < 0.001), demonstrating the model’s effectiveness in enhancing students’ character related to global diversity. It is recommended that the model be applied more widely in civic education courses to cultivate national identity while promoting global citizenship values among students.
