Abstract

This study is conducted based on some cases indicating the decadence of morality, especially among teenagers. All this time, Pesantren or Islamic boarding school has been recognized as the appropriate institution to instil student’s character. This study aims at finding out the planning, implementation, and education results of the obedience character at Pesantren Buntet Cirebon. This study employs a qualitative-descriptive approach. In addition, the data collection is carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The result of this study shows that the character education of obedience was implemented through uswatun ḥasanah (good examples), targib wa tarhib, and story methods. Based on the data found and analyzed in this study, the researchers found that the obedience was considered as an important and natural aspect. This obedience was established sincerely in a long process. In fact, this sincere and natural obedience were influenced by the characters possessed by the kyai, such as sincerity, noble character, sincere affection, and humbleness towards the santri / students. As a consequence, it resulted in the better religious activity and personality of santri, and this obedience had also an effect on respecting others, such as on the teachers, parents, community, fellow students, and even on the rules of pesantren. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi maraknya berbagai kasus yang menunjukkan semakin rendahnya moral masyarakat utamanya para remaja. Selama ini, pesantren diakui sebagai lembaga yang tepat untuk membentuk karakter seseorang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perencanaan, pelaksanaan serta hasil pendidikan karakter kepatuhan di Pesantren Buntet Cirebon. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif, pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, serta studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter kepatuhan dilakukan dengan metode uswatun ḥasanah, targīb wa tarhib, dan kisah. Berdasarkan data-data penelitian, penulis menemukan bahwa kepatuhan merupakan aspek yang penting dan bersifat alami. Kepatuhan ini terjadi secara tulus yang terjadi dalam proses yang panjang. Terjadi secara tulus dan alami karena kyai memiliki sifat ikhlas, akhlak yang mulia, kasih sayang yang tulus, dan sifat tidak memaksa tehadap santri. Hal tersebut juga berpengaruh terhadap aktivitas religius dan kepribadian santri yang lebih baik, serta kepatuhan terhadap hal yang lainnya seperti terhadap guru, orangtua, masyarakat, sesama santri dan terhadap peraturan pesantren.

Abstract

This study discusses the method of tauhīd (monotheism) education conducted by Prophet Ibrāhīm a.s. to his family and followers. By using thematic method (mauḍū’i) of Qur’anic interpretation, the authors try to dig methods or ways to imprint monotheistic values (tauhīd) based on the story of Prophet Ibrāhīm a.s. in the Qur’an. The primary data used in this study are the Al-Qur’an and 5 (five) books of tafsīr (tafsīr al-Miṣbāh, tafsīr al-Maragi, tafsīr Fī Ẓilāl Alqurān, tafsīr al-Azhār, and tafsīr al-Muyassar); and secondary data are obtained from books and scientific paper related to the discussion. The results of this study shows that there are some methods used by Prophet Ibrāhīm a.s. in conveying his teaching of monotheism, those are: intuitive method, rational method, Targīb wa Tarhīb method, ‘Ibrah Mau’iẓah method, scientific method, Ḥiwār Jadali method, demonstration /eksperimental method, and example method. These methods have implication to the development of PAI (Islamic Religious Education, IRE) learning methods in school, especially those related to the learning of monotheism.Penelitian ini membahas tentang metode pendidikan tauhid yang dilakukan Nabi Ibrahim As. dalam menghadapi keluarga dan kaumnya. Dengan menggunakan metode tafsīr mauḍū’i, penulis berusaha menggali metode atau cara menanamkan nilai-nilai tauhid berdasarkan cerita Nabi Ibrāhīm As. dalam al-Qur’an. Data primer yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Alquran dan 5 kitab tafsīr (tafsīr al-Miṣbāh, tafsīr al-Maragi, tafsīr Fī Ẓilāl Alquran, tafsīr al-Azhar, dan tafsīr al-Muyassar); dan data sekunder diperoleh dari buku-buku dan karya tulis ilmiah yang berkaitan dengan pembahasan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa metode yang digunakan oleh Nabi Ibrāhīm As. dalam menyampaikan ajaran tauhidnya, di antaranya: metode intuitif, metode rasional, metode Targib wa Tarḥib, metode ‘Ibrah Maw’iẓah, metode ilmiah, metode Ḥiwār Jadali, metode demonstrasi /eksperimen, dan metode keteladanan. Metode-metode tersebut memiliki implikasi terhadap pengembangan metode pembelajaran PAI (Pendidikan Agama Islam) di sekolah, khususnya pembelajaran tauhid. Kata Kunci: Ibrahim, Metode Pendidikan Tauhid, Pembelajaran PAI.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the educational values in Surah Yusuf and its implications for PAI learning in schools. This research uses a qualitative approach assisted by tarbawy interpretation approach and maudhui (thematic) and muqaran (comparative) interpretation methods. The researcher becomes the key instrument in this research. The data sources used are the Qur'an and classical, modern, and contemporary tafsir books. Data collection techniques using literature studies (library research). Data analysis in this research includes data reduction, display, and verification activities. The values of moral education contained in Surah Yusuf are: First, the recommendation to love children. Second, the prohibition of having the nature of envy (hasan). Third, the prohibition of having a grudge. Fourth, the prohibition of lying (honest). Fifth, the recommendation maintain personal purity ('iffah). Sixth, the recommendation to hold fast to Allah SWT. Seventh, the recommendation to have patience. Eighth, the advice to maintain lust. Ninth, the advice to have an intelligent nature. Tenth, the recommendation to purify and magnify Allah SWT.

Abstract

The reality of learning in the materialism education system eliminates religious values that cause dry learning of divine values. The purpose of this study was to determine the techniques and steps of developing PAI learning through the integration of Islamic values in learning. This research uses a qualitative approach and literature study method. Data retrieval techniques come from primary sources and secondary sources with 6 months of searching for references. Data analysis technique with data interpretation. Based on the results of the discussion, learning is an art and science. Learning is a process of issuing all efforts both materials, methods, and media for the creation of systematic learning and teaching activities starting from planning, implementation, and evaluation to enable students to achieve learning objectives effectively and efficiently. The purpose of learning is to foster humans to be able to optimize their potential (jasadiyyah, aqliyyah, and ruhiyyah) in an integrative and comprehensive manner so as to increase the growth of innovative, creative thinking, proactive communication which includes activities of creativity, reflectivity, reciprocity, and responsibility arranged in appropriate systematic steps in the learning process. The results of this study have implications for the techniques and steps for developing PAI learning by integrating Islamic values in learning.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui internalisasi nilai-nilai karakter melalui metode keteladanan guru di sekoah. Hal ini berangkat dari sebuah pandangan bahwa kesuksesan dalam penanaman nilai-nilai karakter pada suatu proses pendidikan tidak dapat dilepaskan dari keteladanan yang diberikan oleh guru terhadap para peserta didik. Jenis penelitian dalam penelitian ini menggunkan medotode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah terdiri dari guru, dan peserta didik SMAN 1 Pamnukan Subang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara.  Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini pendidikan karakter yaitu pendidikan yang di dalamnya terdapat proses pengembangan nilai-nilai karakter bangsa pada setiap individu, sehingga setiap individu mempunyai karakter dan nilai sebagai karakter dirinya, mengimplementasikan setiap nilai religius pada kehidupan sehari-hari, sebagai anggota masyarakat, dan warga negara yang berjiwa nasioanalis, kreatif, produktif dan religius. Nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter seperti nilai religius, jujur, disiplin, bertanggung jawab, peduli sosial, peduli lingkungan, mandiri, cinta tanah air dan semangat kebangsaan. Tindakan memberikan keteladanan yang dilakukan oleh guru kepada peserta didik yaitu dengan membeikan contoh melalui perkataan, perbuatan dan berbagai metode yang lain, seperti dengan memberikan contoh melalui penjelasan secara langsung. Selain itu pemberian contoh juga dilakukan dengan melakukan penayangan video pendek yang di dalamnya mengandung nilai religius, dan selalu mencontohkan berpakain yang rapih dan sopan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the moderation of Islam in the study of Islamic religious education. This research uses a qualitative approach and a literature study method. Based on the results of the study, Islamic teachings are radical in the sense that all of their teachings and practices are rooted in a solid belief system. The more radical the understanding and practice of religion, the softer and more it guarantees good for all. Al-Qur'an expresses Islamic moderation in the language of "actual" ummata wasatha as evidence of a strong guarantee of his teachings. In the development of learning, Islamic moderation can lower the principles of tasyamul, takamul, tawazun, tasamuh, tarahum and tahabub. The principle of tasyamul and takamul builds a comprehensive and integrative perspective on all entities and gives birth to the paradigm of tawhid. The principles of tawazun and tasamuh will develop an instructional system capable of balancing empirical and spiritual truths and viewing differences as wealth. The principle of tarahum and tahabub will be able to develop educational communication based on compassion and love so that educators can capture students' hearts and present to be a center of self-identification.

Abstract

Moral decadence is a matter of concern among students or young people today. Behavior that is far from religious teachings, such as drinking, brawls, free sex, abortion, drugs, is something that worries many people, especially parents. Among the factors are technological advances, the environment and lack of parental supervision and lack of instilling religious teachings in their children. At first the learning environment is formed from small groups, namely families, it will give birth to a person's character. In general, if the family environment is good, then noble character will be created and vice versa. In addition to the family environment, there is also another environment that helps shape and foster students' morals formally, namely the school environment. In public schools, including at the public higher education (PTU) level, moral education is taught formally through Islamic Religious Education (PAI) courses. The goal is that students are able to practice religious teachings correctly and consistently. The two environments above do not seem to be sufficient to produce graduates who are able to integrate religious teachings with their respective disciplines, therefore it is necessary to find a learning environment that is able to integrate the understanding of religious teachings according to their respective expertise. The environment is that the student boarding school environment is thought to be able to integrate the values of religious teachings obtained from the family and school environment. This study took the object at the Al-Jihad Student Islamic Boarding School Surabaya. Through a qualitative research approach, it was found that this pesantren has approaches, strategies, methods, techniques in guiding its students to have good character. Al-Jihad Islamic Boarding School uses salafiyah-based learning and integrates it with a modern approach. The educational material examines various books from the salaf and modern scholars and integrates them into a learning model. From this learning model, it is hoped that students and graduates will be able to answer problems according to the challenges of the times. The learning model in Al-Jihad is through habits, such as community service, mutual cooperation, tahajjud, and other practices so that they get used to the good things after completing education at Islamic boarding schools and can feel the benefits.

Abstract

Abstract. This study examines the concept of Ma’ruf in the Qur’an and its implications for the formulation of Islamic Religious Education goals. This research is library research, using the thematic method (maudhu’i). From this research, it was found that the meaning of Ma’ruf indicates the meaning of everything that is considered good and is a virtue that is considered according to common sense and sharia.’ In the Qur’an, the term al-ma’ruf refers to the meaning of all forms of virtue in general, both vertical or spiritual-transcendental relationship with God and horizontal relationship with human, based on reason and syara’. Meanwhile, the implication of the meaning of Ma’ruf on the purpose of Islamic Religious Education is the creation of a world view as perfect human beings on the importance of building a civilization that can balance reason and syara’.
