Abstract

Biodiesel is a promising alternative fuel that can be produced From vegetable oils, animal fats or recycled frying oil by esterification or transesterification with alcohol. Rice bran is one of an alternative feedstock to produce biodiesel. The aims of this research are to produce crude biodiesel by in situ esterification without incubation and incubation of rice bran at lipase optimum temperature and pH using sulfuric acid as catalyst, and to characterize rice bran biodiesel by analyzing concentration of fatty acid methyl ester (FAME), triglyceride, diglyceride and monoglyceride, biodiesel yield, density, viscosity, cetane index, cloud point and flash point. The research used in situ esterification. The extraction and biodiesel production occurred simultaneously. Rice bran was incubated at optimum temperature and pH before in situ esterification for one, two and three weeks incubation. Rice bran lipase had the highest activity of 7.89 pmol/ml minute at 33C and pH 6. 50 gram rice bran was transferred to three round bottom flask and 200 ml methanol was added. The mixtures was refluxed with 5 ml catalyst of sulfuric acid for 60, 90 and 120 minutes. During incubation, there was significant increase of fatty acids concentration From 10,34 to 80,74 % then followed by decreasing triglyceride from 89,66 to 19,26 %. Rice bran had the fat content of 19,84-20,81 %. The yield of crude biodiesel was 18,25 to 22,12 %. There was significant decrease in fatty acid concentration of rice bran residual oil. Rice bran crude biodiesel had the density of 852,45 kg/m- 896,72 kg/m; certain index of 32,5 - 53 ;flash point of 70,50 - 79,62 C ; cloud point of 3,5 15 C ; viscosity of 1,12-1,69 Cst. The best treatment was rice bran crude biodiesel at three weeks incubation of rice bran and 60 minutes of esterification. It had the following t:haructtri:ttic's ; FAME percentation of 94,57 %; kinematic viscosity of 1,69 Cst; density of 852,45 km/m; flash point of 79,67 C ; cetane index of 53 : and cloud point of 10C

Abstract

Wedang Uwuh is a traditional drink typical of Yogyakarta made from various natural spices (ginger, second wood, nutmeg leaves, cinnamon leaves, clove handles, and other herbs). A large number of wedang uwuh industries in Yogyakarta cause fierce business competition. The study aimed to determine the influence of consumer behavior on the purchasing decisions of wedang uwuh Tea Bag, both partially and simultaneously. This research was a quantitative associative study with a descriptive approach. The sample selection used purposive sampling with Roscoe's theory, with a sample size of 50 respondents. Data were collected through interviews using a guided questionnaire. The influence of consumer behavior on purchasing decisions was analyzed using Multiple Linear Regression, Classical Assumption Tests, t-tests, F-tests, and Coefficient of Determination. The results showed that consumer behavior, including cultural, social, personal, and psychological factors, collectively influenced the purchasing decisions of brewed uwuh tea bags at CV Dewi Makmur. However, individually, cultural and personal factors had a significant influence on the purchasing decisions of brewed uwuh tea bags, while social factors and psychological factors did not have an impact on the purchasing decisions of wedang uwuh Tea Bag.

Abstract

Agricultural mechanization has emerged as a cornerstone of modernizing the agricultural sector in Indonesia, playing a pivotal role in enhancing productivity and efficiency. The growing population and the necessity for increased agricultural output have driven the adoption of mechanization to overcome challenges such as labor shortages and the adverse effects of climate anomalies. The introduction of agricultural equipment follows a selective principle by considering the local area's socioeconomic conditions. Future agricultural mechanization utilizes technologies based on weather analysis, soil sensor information, and satellite and drone imaging that can increase agricultural productivity. Precision agriculture innovation to improve the accuracy of farm business management is carried out by utilizing sensor systems, drones, remote sensing, digital technology, and the Internet of Things (IoT) to collect, process, and present data that smart farming systems will use. Integrated information system innovations for the supply chain are designed to bridge farmers, distributors, markets, and end buyers by utilizing mobile applications. The traditional to modern transition process and the implementation of smart digital farming require mentoring and field learning in the agricultural process from upstream to downstream. This review provides a comprehensive overview of the development, challenges, opportunities, and prospects of agricultural mechanization in Indonesia, offering insights into how these efforts can support the country's economic growth and food security. Materials were prepared from various sources, including development planning documentation program reports, evaluation, and critical analysis of different research results.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the influence of the role of the Women Farmers Group (KWT) in the use of tofu pulp in KWT Lestari Maju, Selopamioro Village, Kapanewon Imogiri, Bantul Regency. The method used was a descriptive quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis techniques.  The research sample of 32 people was selected by purposive sampling. The independent variables studied included the role of groups as learning classes, cooperation vehicles, and production units, while the dependent variable was the use of tofu pulps. The results showed that the role of groups as a learning class (56.07%), a vehicle for cooperation (57.18%), and a production unit (67.10%) was in the medium category. KWT Lestari Maju classified the utilization of tofu pulps as a medium category, with an average utilization of 41.33%. The regression analysis indicated that the simultaneous variables of learning classes, cooperation vehicles, and production units significantly affect the utilization of tofu pulps (Simultaneous value F 7.513 Sig 0.001 and determination R2 0.387 Sig < 0.05). However, partially, the role as a learning class of Sig 0.008 and production unit of Sig 0.027 has a significant influence, while the cooperation vehicle is not significant Sig 0.348. This indicates that the role of groups was significant in increasing the use of tofu pulp waste into products with selling value, such as crackers. However, there is still a need to strengthen cooperation and continuous further training.
