Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology and access to information in the digital age has greatly impacted children, known as the digital native generation. While technology offers easy access to information and educational tools, it also presents risks such as internet addiction and exposure to harmful content. The family, especially parents, plays a crucial role in shaping children's character. Parents need to teach, guide, and protect children from the negative impacts of technology. This article delves into the concept of democratic parenting, which is considered effective in addressing these challenges. In this approach, there is an emphasis on two-way communication, allowing both parents and children to express their opinions. It focuses on setting realistic boundaries, balanced supervision, and responsible development of digital skills. This parenting style helps children learn to manage their screen time and develop healthy digital habits. Additionally, children are taught to think critically, respect diverse opinions, and become independent. Parents should familiarize themselves with their children's technology, set time limits for using digital devices, choose safe and educational content, and actively engage in their children's digital activities. With the right guidance, children can utilize technology for positive self-development, tackle technological challenges, and grow into responsible, critical, and adaptable individuals.

The survival strategies carried out by Petuk Katimpun fishermen are, first, tying the belt tighter, namely saving money but not reducing the portion and quality of food and saving when the income is significant. Second, job diversification (alternative subsistence) is done by doing various jobs to increase revenue, such as the work done by fishermen, such as looking for rattan. Abstract

This research examines the resilience of students from sengon farming families in Pulang Pisau Regency in facing crop failure due to forest and land fires (karhutla). Descriptive qualitative methods were used through interviews, observations and literature studies. The research results show that forest and land fires, which are often caused by burning land without permission, cause significant economic losses for sengon farmers and their families. Affected students adopted resilience strategies such as income diversification, utilization of scholarships, good financial management, and sustainable agricultural development. Social support from the government and local communities focuses on preventing forest and land fires, but direct economic support is still minimal. This research highlights the importance of strengthening capacity and education for sengon farming families and students to build resilience in facing forest and land fires. The resilience demonstrated by students and families of sengon farmers in Pulang Pisau District-through diversification of income sources, utilization of social networks, and small-scale agricultural innovations-indicates that strengthening social capital and adaptive capacity are key to maintaining welfare sustainability amid the ecological and economic crisis caused by forest and land fires.
