Abstract

Adolescent mental health is a growing concern worldwide, yet evidence from Indonesia remains limited. This study examined the prevalence of mental health issues among secondary school students in Surabaya using the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ). A cross-sectional survey was conducted across four schools, involving 167 junior and senior high school students. Participants self-reported emotional symptoms, conduct problems, hyperactivity/inattention, peer relationship difficulties, and prosocial behavior. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and non-parametric tests to explore differences across gender, age, school type, and school level. Findings revealed that 24.6% of students were at substantial risk of mental health difficulties. In contrast, 70.7% of students were unlikely to experience clinically significant problems, and only 1.8% were at risk of low prosocial behavior. Female students reported higher total difficulty scores but also demonstrated greater prosocial behavior compared to males. Additionally, students in public schools showed higher levels of prosocial behavior than those in private schools.

Abstract

Kemampuan membaca permulaan sangat penting dimiliki oleh peserta didik sekolah dasar untuk memahami dan menguasai materi pembelajaran di tahap selanjutnya, serta meyuarakan teks tulisan dengan aksen yang tepat. Namun, kemampuan tersebut masih rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan kesulitan yang dihadapi guru saat mengajar membaca permulaan anak-anak di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini penting dilakukan karena untuk mengetahui masalah membaca permulaan dan kebutuhan model pembelajaran case method berbasis kontekstual lingkungan yang digunakan untuk mengoptimalkan kecakapan membaca permulaan Metode kualitatif fenomologi merupakan pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah guru kelas I dan II sekolah dasar. Teknik pengambilan data yang dilakukan menggunakan wawancara. Model analisis model jalinan atau mengalir merupakan teknik analisis yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah kesulitan peserta didik dalam membaca permulaan berupa kesulitan dalam mengidentifikasi huruf, mengeja, dan melafalkan fonem. Penelitian ini dapat berkontribusi dalam peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan, pengembangan kemampuan literasi, dan kemampuan abad 21.

Abstract

يُعَدُّ تعلّمُ اللغة العربية أحدَ مقررات اللغات الأجنبية في المدارس، ولا يستطيع إلّا عددٌ قليل من الطلاب إتقانَها، سواء في مهارة الكتابة أو القراءة. وتتمثّلُ أبرزُ ضعفٍ لدى الطلاب عمومًا في قلّة المفردات، في حين أنَّ إتقان المفردات في تعلّم اللغة العربية يُعَدُّ أمرًا مهمًا لدعم الكفاءة اللغوية. لذلك، ولتسهيل تعلّم الطلاب وفهمهم للمفردات، تَتطلّب العملية التعليمية وجود وسيلة تساعد على تدريبهم وتعليمهم المفردات، ومن بين هذه الوسائل استخدام لعبة Scrabble. تُعَدُّ لعبة Scrabble وسيلة تُستخدم لتنمية المهارات اللغوية، ومنها مهارة إتقان المفردات. وللعبة Scrabble عدّة فوائد، من بينها زيادة الحصيلة اللغوية، لأنّ الطلاب يُطلَب منهم في هذه اللعبة ترتيبُ الحروف لتكوين المفردات، مما يساعدهم على تذكّر الكلمات بشكلٍ أفضل. هذا البحث هو بحثٌ وصفيّ ذو منهجٍ نوعي. وقد شملتْ عَيِّنَةُ البحث طلابَ الصف السابع (VII A) في مدرسة MTs Negeri 5 Jember. وتُظهِر نتائجُ البحث أن الوسائل التعليمية التي يستخدمها المعلّمون في تعليم اللغة العربية هي الكتب المدرسية وجهاز العرض (LCD). أمّا تطبيق وسيلة Scrabble فيتمّ من خلال تقسيم الطلاب إلى مجموعات عدّة، بحيث يحصل كلّ فريق على مجموعة من الحروف، ثم يطلب الباحث من الطلاب لصق الحروف على لوحة Scrabble التي أعدّها مسبقًا. وتُشير نتائجُ تطبيق وسيلة التعلّم باستخدام Scrabble إلى أن طلاب الصف VII A في MTs Negeri 5 Jember أصبحوا يمتلكون حصيلةً أكبر من المفردات، وتمكّنوا من زيادة عدد المفردات التي يعرفونها، كما أصبحوا قادرين على تذكّر المفردات بشكلٍ جيّد. Learning Arabic is one of the foreign language subjects at school and only a few students are able to master Arabic, even in written and reading form. The weakness of students in general is the lack of vocabulary. Meanwhile, mastery of vocabulary in learning Arabic is very important to support language proficiency. Therefore, to make it easier for students to learn and understand vocabulary, a medium is needed to train and teach the vocabulary, one of which is by using Scrabble. Scrabble is a medium used to develop language skills, one of which is vocabulary mastery. The Scrabble game has several benefits, one of which is increasing vocabulary because in this game students are required to arrange letters to form vocabulary so that students are able to remember vocabulary well. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The research objects were students in class VII A of MTs Negeri 5 Jember. The results of this research show that the media used by teachers in learning Arabic are textbooks and LCD. The implementation of Scrabble media is carried out by dividing students into several groups, each group gets a letter. Then the researcher instructed the students to stick the letters on the Scrabble board that had been prepared by the researcher. The results of the application of Scrabble learning media show that class VII A MTs Negeri 5 Jember masters more vocabulary and can increase their vocabulary and are able to remember vocabulary words well.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive learning media application based on Articulate Storyline 3 in Arabic language learning as a solution to the low motivation and involvement of students due to the learning media used is still predominantly conventional in MAN Lumajang. The type of research used by researchers is research and development (RD). The development research is a research method that aims to produce a certain product. The research and development method is a scientific method used to research, design, create and test the validity of a product that has been created. In this development research, researchers used the four D model development model (4-D Model). The results of this study are validation from material experts showing a validity level of 85.2% and from media experts 89.6%, both of which are included in the very valid and very feasible category, although they require some revisions. Thus, this media is feasible to be used as an innovative alternative in the Arabic language learning process and is expected to increase student motivation and learning outcomes through a more interesting and interactive learning experience and so that it can be continued with a test of the effectiveness of the media on students.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and rank the factors influencing commuters’ public transport choices and to evaluate their preferences for different modes of transport. A quantitative survey was conducted with 63 provided consistent responses based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Four decision criteria were assessed: cost, safety, time efficiency, and comfort. Alongside five public transport alternatives: city bus, intercity bus, feeder bus, commuter train, and public minivan. Results revealed that time efficiency is the most influential factor shaping commuters’ choices, followed by safety, cost, and comfort. In terms of mode preference, the commuter train ranked highest, reflecting its reliability and punctuality, while public minivan ranked lowest, primarily due to declining service quality and competition from ride-hailing services. These findings highlight the need to prioritize service reliability of time efficiency, safety, and affordability to increase public transport usage in Surabaya.

Abstract

Technology in education refers to the use of various digital tools and innovative approaches to enhance the effectiveness and quality of learning. In Arabic language learning, technology has undergone significant development, beginning with audio-visual media and evolving into e-learning platforms, mobile applications, artificial intelligence, and internet-based interactive learning environments. This progression reflects the increasing need for more flexible, engaging, and learner-centered instructional practices. This study aims to examine the roles, utilization, challenges, and technological innovations in Arabic language learning through a library research method. The focus of the study is the analysis of scholarly articles published in academic journals that discuss the integration of technology in the Arabic language learning process. Data are collected from various credible sources, including scientific journals, academic books, and relevant scholarly documents. The findings indicate that technology plays an essential role in improving Arabic language learning by making it more engaging, effective, and responsive to learners’ needs. Digital learning media such as educational applications, e-learning platforms, and interactive tools contribute to increased student motivation and learning interest. Moreover, recent technological innovations—including AI, virtual reality, augmented reality, podcasts, and interactive videos—have enriched teaching strategies and expanded learning opportunities. Applications such as Duolingo, Mondly, Google Classroom, and Quizizz support flexible, accessible, and enjoyable learning experiences. Overall, the integration of technology provides positive contributions not only to the learning process but also to the assessment and evaluation of Arabic language learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of a classroom teacher as a leader in the learning process who is able to develop higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) through civic education subjects in elementary schools located in wetland environments. This study uses a qualitative method with a single case study approach, conducted at SDN Sungai Telan Besar 2, Barito Kuala Regency, focusing on a fifth-grade teacher. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and a study of various documents. The data were then analyzed using an interactive model developed by Miles & Huberman. The results showed that the teacher was able to design HOTS-based learning, integrate local phenomena such as tidal flooding and the cultural value of Kayuh Baimbai, and lead class discussions democratically by applying Socratic questioning and Problem-Based Learning strategies. In addition, the teacher also encouraged students to think critically through reflection and a culture of questioning. The teacher also played a transformative role by influencing colleagues and involving parents and the community. These findings indicate that contextual, innovative, and adaptive teacher leadership is crucial in developing higher-order thinking skills and shaping student character in areas with special geographical conditions, such as wetlands.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis Pengaruh Return On Equity Terhadap Nilai Perusahaan Dengan Corporate Social Responsibility Sebagai Variabel Moderasi Sektor Barang Baku Tahun 2020 Di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI). Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode purposive sampling. Sehingga diperoleh jumlah sampel sebanyak 73 perusahaan. Uji yang digunakan adalah uji koefisien korelasi (R), uji koefisien determinasi (R2), dan Analisis Regresi Moderasi (MRA). Nilai Koefisien Korelasi adalah 0,334 berarti bahwa antara ROE dan CSR terhadap nilai perusahaan hubungannya rendah. Nilai koefisien determinasi (R2) atau R square yang diperoleh sebesar 0,111 menunjukan bahwa 11,1% pengaruh terhadap Nilai perusahaan hubungannya dijelaskan oleh variabel ROE dan CSR, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 88,9% Nilai Perusahaan dipengaruhi oleh variabel-variabel lainnya yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Variabel moderasi CSR menunjukan bahwa CSR tidak mempengaruhi hubungan antara ROE terhadap nilai perusahaan

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of digital literacy of fifth grade elementary school students in Laweyan District. The research method used is quantitative. The sample of this study was 86 students from 4 elementary schools in Laweyan District, class V. The data collection technique used is a test. Data analysis used descriptive statistical analysis. The results of this study are that the digital literacy level of fifth grade elementary school students in Laweyan District is mostly in the high category, which is 50%. Meanwhile students with very high category were 31.4%, low category were 1.2%, medium category were 17.4%. This research can be used as a reference to measure the level of digital literacy of students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi tantangan utama dalam pengelolaan sekolah hijau di SD Tepi Muara Sungai Barito dan merumuskan strategi peningkatannya. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus digunakan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap guru. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi sekolah hijau terhambat oleh keterbatasan anggaran, minimnya sumber daya, rendahnya partisipasi publik, serta absennya evaluasi dan tindak lanjut berkelanjutan. Temuan lain mengungkap belum adanya struktur organisasi yang jelas untuk mengelola gerakan sekolah hijau. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa keberhasilan program sekolah hijau membutuhkan dukungan pendanaan, kemitraan antar pihak, pembentukan tim penggerak, serta sistem pemantauan rutin agar inisiatif lingkungan dapat berjalan secara efektif dan berkelanjutan. Green schools or just a slogan? The reality on the banks of the Barito Estuary Abstract: This study aims to identify the key challenges in implementing green school management at an elementary school located near the Barito River estuary and to propose strategies for improvement. A qualitative case study approach was employed using interviews, observations, and documentation with teachers as participants. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings reveal that green school practices are hindered by limited budgets, inadequate resources, low public participation, and the absence of continuous evaluation and follow-up. Another important finding is the lack of a dedicated organizational structure to oversee green school initiatives. The study concludes that effective green school implementation requires adequate funding, cross-sector partnerships, the establishment of a clear task force, and consistent monitoring to ensure sustainable environmental programs.
