Abstract

During the pandemic, with the elimination of face-to-face learning, children become less knowledgeable. More about learning graphic concepts. The purpose of this research is to improve the ability to read charts in early childhood in the pandemic era using the Ping-pong Ball Chart media. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Data collection methods used are interviews, observation, and documentation because they can describe the situation accurately. Based on the results of the study, on the first day there was no change in the child's ability to read graphs. Where child not reads  according to what he sees.  there are children who are not at all able to conclude what he sees. In the learning process on the second and third day after the teacher conducted learning using the Ping-pong Ball Chart media, the children had experienced an increase in reading graphs, there were 4 students who drastically increased their ability to read graphs.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengembangan kompetensi pendidik pasca pandemi masih menggunakan media daring, sehingga daya tangkap dan konsentrasi pendidik tidak tepat sasaran. Pendidik RA merasa belum ada pelatihan yang menunjang tingkat literasi, numerasi, dan kreasi pendidik RA yang dilakukan secara langsung dan interaktif. Pendidik RA di Kecamatan Gebog Kabupaten Kudus masih berada pada angka 47% dari linearitas yang dipersyaratkan sehingga berdampak pada kualitas pembelajaran, khususnya bidang literasi, numerasi, dan kreasi. Sementara itu tingkat pendidik yang sudah memiliki sertifikat pendidik baru mencapai 24% yang berdampak pada kualifikasi pendidik profesional. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah memberikan penguatan kemampuan literasi, numerasi, dan kreasi menggunakan media berbahan loose parts. Adapun uraian yang diberikan adalah pelatihan penguatan literasi pendidik RA dengan mengarah pada kemampuan ekspresif dan reseptif menggunakan looseparts, memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan pendidik RA tentang delapan cabang matematika agar pengenalan numerasi anak semakin variatif dan bermakna menggunakan media berbahan looseparts, memberikan penguatan, pelatihan, dan pendampingan ragam cipta kreasi yang dapat dikembangkan pada anak usia dini. Metode kegiatan pengabdian yang digunakan adalah preparation, training & education, experience, mentoring, serta menitoring, evaluating, & feedback. Hasil dari kegiatan ini bahwa pendidik RA memiliki peningkatan kemampuan literasi, numerasi, dan kreasi setelah mengikuti kegiatan pendampingan.

Abstract

This study, conducted at Raudlatul Athfal Al-Iman in Semarang City, explores resilience factors and levels among students, emphasizing the role of Islamic values in fostering resilience and self-regulation and using a concurrent embedded mixed-method approach, prioritizing qualitative data from interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires to explore cultural and religious influences on resilience, particularly in interactions with peers, educators, and the community. The qualitative approach provided insights into how Islamic values are internalized and expressed in children’s behaviors. At the same time, quantitative data, measured using the Child and Youth Resilience Measure (CYRM), categorized students’ resilience levels. This combination ensured a comprehensive understanding by integrating contextual depth with numerical validation. Findings revealed that Islamic practices, including istighosah, reading Iqra', memorizing Hadith (Mutiara habits), daily prayers, recitations of Asmaul Husna, and short Qur’anic surahs, significantly influence students' resilience. These activities, integrated into daily routines, help children adopt Islamic values in peer interactions and demonstrate resilience characteristics. Teachers reinforce resilience by promoting problem-solving that is aligned with Islamic teachings. Quantitative data from 30 students indicated resilience levels: 6 students were categorized as high, 19 as moderate, and 5 as low. This research highlights the potential of faith-based practices to enhance mental well-being and learning outcomes in Islamic early childhood education. While constrained by a small sample size and limited scope, it offers valuable insights into resilience-building strategies in similar contexts. Future studies should expand on integrating resilience theory and Islamic values in early education across broader settings.

Abstract

Menjadi Ibu bukanlah hal yang mudah dilakukan. Banyak hal yang harus dipersiapkan ibu untuk menyeimbangkan kehidupan rumah tangga dan kehidupan pribadinya. Ibu merupakan guru pertama bagi anaknya. Puskesmas Sekaran, sebagai leading sector pelaksana posyandu di wilayah Sekaran mengaku bahwa kedatangan keluarga urban di wilayah binaannya menjadi tantangan tersendiri untuk dapat memantau tumbuh kembang anak. Tidak bisa dipungkiri bahwa ibu urban dan penduduk asli memiliki cara pandang tersendiri dalam mengasuh anak. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan kemampuan manajemen ibu urban muda yang memiliki anak usia dini. Lebih lanjut peningkatan keterampilan ibu urban muda dalam mengasuh anak pada aspek perkembangan kognitif, fisik, dan sosial emosional. Kemampuan manajemen ibu dalam menstimulasi anak usia 0-6 tahun. Tujuan kegiatan ini selaras dengan capaian IKU 2 dan IKU 5 serta sejalan dengan SDGs terkait pendidikan berkualitas dan kemitraan untuk mencapai tujuan.  Metode pelaksanaan memiliki lima tahapan kegiatan, yaitu: Socialitation, Training & Education, Experience, Mentoring, dan Monitoring, evaluation, & feedback. Mitra telah mencapai target peningkatan level pemberdayaan atas dilaksanakannya penguatan playful parenting pada tahun 2024.

Abstract

Early childhood education (PAUD) has become an inseparable part of the education unit. Nowadays, many PAUD units are established, have permits, and carry out accreditation. Meanwhile, there are still many educators in PAUD units whose education is not linear. This has an impact on the learning practices given to children being of lower quality, especially for PAUD which has an Islamic boarding school base which will be the choice of parents who hope that their children will receive general knowledge and religious knowledge facilities. The activity method used refers to five stages, namely preparation, training & education, experience, mentoring and monitoring. The service activities carried out include training Islamic boarding school-based PAUD educators in carrying out learning practices according to PAUD learning principles. Furthermore, partners receive strengthening in two areas, namely literacy and numeracy. Literacy skills by introducing receptive, expressive language and literacy. Numeracy ability by optimizing 8 branches of numeracy in early childhood. The eight branches of mathematics introduced are matching, classification, sorting, geometry, patterns, counting, data, and measurement. Based on the service activities carried out, it can be concluded that the service activities that have been carried out have had a positive impact on partners. Partners receive literacy and numeracy reinforcement during activities, and continue good practices by applying the literacy and numeracy material they have obtained during training activities

Abstract

The primary and fundamental education for a child begins within the family. Early childhood requires optimal caregiving from those around them, particularly their parents. However, in today's reality, many young parents are engaged in work, leading to child caregiving responsibilities being entrusted to caregivers, daycare centers, or other family members. According to data, 84.33% of Indonesian children are raised by both biological parents, while 2.51% are raised solely by their father, 8.43% solely by their mother, and 4.76% by other family members. In the Mangunsari area, caregivers are not only responsible for childcare but are also burdened with household chores, which divides their attention and reduces focus on the child. Therefore, introducing the responsive caregiving module serves as a solution to enhance the quality of childcare for children under the age of three.This community service initiative aims to improve caregiver competencies through the introduction of the responsive caregiving module, enhance their understanding of child development milestones, and develop their skills in providing educational games and creating appropriate play materials for child development. The implementation method consists of five stages: preparation, training and education, practical experience, mentoring, and evaluation with feedback. The results indicate that the responsive caregiving module effectively enhances caregivers' competencies in providing responsive care. Based on interviews and observations, 92% of participants showed improved understanding, while 89% demonstrated increased skills in responding to children's needs and desires. Therefore, this initiative contributes to improving the quality of childcare in the Mangunsari area of Semarang City.

Abstract

Therefore, it is very important to develop and educate children so that children can improve their English skills and be able to understand English well. Reading is a basic skill that can help children to succeed in academic and non-academic fields in the future. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of reading aloud in improving children's pre-reading ability, as well as applying the strategy of learning to read aloud in education in RA Darul Falah Ketanggen. In this study, the research uses pre experimental design research method in which the research will involve experimental groups and intervene at the time of research in the form of one group pretest post test design. The location of the study was conducted in Ra Darul Falah Ketanggen. Sampling using non-Probability Sampling with purposive sampling technique based on Yamane formula. The number of samples in the study was 28 respondents. Data collection is done by using questionnaires or questionnaires. The data were analyzed using Shapiro-Wilk normality test, t test, and N-Gain test. The results of statistical calculations using SPSS, show that reading aloud has an impact on the pre-reading ability of children aged 4-5 years with a black t value of 63.95 > t table 0.374. And read aloud effectively in improving children's pre-reading ability with N-Gain test results from this study is 77%. And there was an increase of 51.68 points in the posttest value compared to the pretest value.

Abstract

The lack of variety in the use of learning media has an impact on the monotonous learning process. This condition causes early childhood to have difficulty in understanding the important meaning of apologies. As a result, the application of character values is less than optimal. This research aims to create and develop picture storybooks as learning media that can help instill the habit of apology in children from an early age. This illustrated storybook product is made using Photoshop application. The research method used is the research and development (R&D) approach with the 4D development model, the 4D research stages include defining, designing, developing, disseminating. Due to time constraints, this research was limited to the development phase. Data analysis is based on the feasibility evaluation scores of picture storybooks given by material experts and media experts as assessors. The results of the feasibility test conducted by material experts and media experts show that the level of material feasibility with an average percentage of 85% with the criteria "very feasible", while the results of media expert validation get an average percentage of 94%, so that both are categorized as "very feasible". So it is concluded that the illustrated storybook "Playing Together" developed is very feasible to use as a way of instilling the character value of apology from the age of 5-6 years.

Abstract

Urgensi penelitian ini terletak pada pentingnya kemampuan evaluasi pembelajaran di dunia kerja, utamanya di pendidikan. Kemampuan evaluasi pembelajaran merupakan komponen krusial dikarenakan kemampuan evaluasi pembelajaran merupakan bagian integral dalam kompetensi pedagogik yang merupakan bagian dari hard skills yang wajib dimiliki oleh calon pendidik PAUD yaitu mahasiswa PGPAUD untuk terjun di dunia kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kesiapan kerja mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Guru PAUD di Universitas Negeri Semarang dengan kemampuan evaluasi pembelajaran yang telah diasah ketika perkuliahan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa PGPAUD Universitas Negeri Semarang Angkatan 2021 yang sedang mengerjakan tugas akhir atau skripsi sebanyak 118 mahasiswa. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 54 mahasiswa dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dimana seluruh anggota populasi diberikan perlakuan yang sama. Data penelitian dikumpulkan menggunakan google formulir yang berisi kuesioner kesiapan kerja dan tes untuk mengukur kemampuan evaluasi pembelajaran mahasiswa PGPAUD. Data diolah menggunakan uji prasyarat, dan analisis korelasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang kuat dan positif antara kesiapan kerja mahasiswa PGPAUD Universitas Negeri Semarang dengan kemampuan evaluasi pembelajaran dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,934. Implikasi dari penelitian ini ialah untuk menekankan kemampuan evaluasi pembelajaran pada mahasiswa agar dapat meningkatkan kesiapan kerja mahasiswa PGPAUD

Abstract

Era digital menuntut peserta didik menguasai kompetensi abad-21, yakni berpikir kreatif, berpikir kritis dan pemecahan masalah, berkomunikasi, dan berkolaborasi. Pendekatan pebelajaran yang kurang tepat bisa menimbulkan kompetesi tersebut tidak bisa terstimulasi dengan baik. Salah satu cara yang bisa digunakan untuk mengembangkan kompetensi abad-21 bagi anak usia dini yaitu menstimulasi High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) melalui Pendekatan Reggio Emilia. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengkaji pendekatan Reggio Emilia dalam membangun High Order Thinking Skills anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Kualitatif dengan Studi Literatur. Tehnik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data primer yakni analisis bebera dokumen yang terkait penelitian yang berupa buku, jurnal online dan artikel yang terkait konten inti pembahasan. . Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan Reggio Emilia adalah sebuah pendekatan yang tepat untuk menstimulasi HOTS AUD. Ketrampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS) meliputi kemampuan untuk menganalisa, mengevaluasi, dan mencipta. Keterampilan tersebut dapat dibangun dan dikembanagkan melalui dukungan pendekatan pembelajaran yang tepat.
